Tears of Maramere

Sabrina Queen of Serenno was on rebuilding exercise, and to rebuild her own planet's wealth, she need to bring income streams to it. These where shipbuilding, slaves, and anything else that meant money came to her planet. Today she was helping develop two thing a new stealth ships, and enslaving some of residents. The planned area of attack was a warehouse, and spaceport area. Yes it was defend, but nothing she could not overcome. Her fleet came out of hyperspace, and the landing craft began getting ready.

She began spitting out orders, from the deck of Scorpion class cruiser, she had a few other ships with her, but main assets where troop carrier and freighters. This was a raid, and she need to get troops to the ground, and to take the over the area, before anyone could stop her. As her eagles came at to descend on the planet, to protect the troop carrier. No doubt she meet resistance but she was prepared. The transport frigate was well protected, with eight squadrons of eagle interceptors coming down with it, the other severn remain with fleet. The fleet aimed at planet, if any big guns opened up on it, they return fire as quickly as possible.......

The small fighter shuttle came out of hyperspace at the coordinates she had been provided but a week prior. The details where lacking although that was nothing new. somehow Teresa always pinned it down to paranoia from her mentor, or maybe a lack of trust. It was one of the many things she found annoying about the woman. Teresa liked details and knowing what she'd be going into. "F t two please identify yourself." said over a direct com. "This is Teresa sending landing codes now." The girl waited for a moment while staying on course to the ship. "everything checks out, you're cleared for landing." "I want a caf waiting for me when I land fail to provide that I will make it my priority to make your life hell for today. you don't want that trust me." Her tone of voice was clear that it was a demand. after all she had been flying three days straight almost. "Yes my lord." it wasn't much longer till she had landed after that she landed in the hanger of the Scorpion.

Apprentice, good to see you. She was actually happy to see her apprentice, she then walked down to command area of ship. She then put up a view screen, showing what was happening. As you can see the transport frigate is going down to target zone unhindered so far. They think I am here to buy the crystals, as soon as it lands they will learn the truth. The troops will pour out and control the local area. As that happens the fleet will move just above the atmosphere, and target any local planetary defence force, that can stop the retreat. Also by being closer there will be less guns to face, but they will be more accurate. As that happens the freighter will land will loading droids, to get the stygium up, and the locals as slaves. She looked at her apprentice, she was strong enough and had experienced enough now to pass judgment, thus her input would be valuable. She had no intention of going down to the planet, but her apprentice might be interested, to oversee the expedition.

Gavin's new fury came out of hyperspace at the coordinates he had been provided earlier, and sent a transmission requesting permission to land. Gavin had no idea why he was here, but it wasn't the first time he had to operate on a need to know basis, and he knew better than to ask for more information prematurely. He began his landing course and noticed another ship going on a landing course. He sent a message to Darth Banshee asking for orders, then began to wonder why he had been called here. Probably a task that Banshee felt like not doing herself. That was the main problem with being her apprentice, lots of donkey work. He never complained about this, mainly because if he did he would die. Then gave the order to begin docking procedures. [member="Darth Banshee"] [member="Darth Pellax"]

Upon her departure of the shuttle she was greeted with a thermo cup filled with caf. They also went the extra mile and waited to put blue milk and sugar in. "Two and milk." She said and they did as requested. "You've done well no get back to work you know what Sabrina does with those that slack." "Y-yest m'lord." As she walked out the hanger and through the halls she'd sip away at the drink that had a bitter taste, but it's taste was almost unrivaled.

It wasn't to long till she reached the bridge. Sabrina hasn't seen teresa in a while. In fact during that time she'd become more. The girl had matured and well found something that was missing. That something that gave her the motivation to become even more. Not only that but she had changed in appearance once again. Still the sound of her mentors greeting made her sigh. "Yes hello Sabrina. Good to see you again."

Teresa listened to the woman's plans although it seems she had only catered for the planets defences. Normally that's enough but as time and time again proved the preparation for the unexpected was a necessity. "And what of external help. Your plan has good cover of the planet and it's defences but you lack a potential flaw. If word gets out local worlds may find it in their interest to rally a force. My suggestion is to block their communications in the area you will be assaulting. By the time the rest of the world finds out what is happening I can assume your..."

The girl paused as she felt the presence of another. A new piece on the board? Another contender? A threat. "Your opperationnn will be half way through." The expression on her face made it obvious to Sabrina that already teresa could feel it even her wings extended slightly as many questions went through her head, but really it all boiled down to one, who were they?

She looked at her more experienced apprentice, If we jam communications, then they will know something is up. Though the royal guard, will try and keep chatter down to a minimum. Though ion weapons, will try and take out communications. As they spoke the Troop transport landed, and royal guard came off first, they marched out as if they where forming an honour guard. This was so they could deploy the troops easier. Her other apprentice [member="Gavin Coral"] then entered, she could sense that [member="Darth Pellax"] thought he might be a rival. She smiled as this was good for both of them and her, her as it kept them fight between themselves and less likely to hurt her, and someone to measure themselves against. Then she sighed a little, and then spoke You are not rivals, we all serve The Dark Lord [member="Darth Carnifex"], and I hope you two can work and learn from each other for greater good of the empire. Then as they spoke, the freighter moved in to landed. Soon as they landed the assult would begin, she had decoy moving around the place under guard, so the assult would go of without a hitch. Now if you wish to help in the attack, on planet below feel free to join them. Though wish to watch from here, you are more than welcome. She could not be bothered to get her hands dirty, as there was no need at this point. She then sat back in her chair and watched, and listened to various things happening.

Diranor Cadain

Artorian Royal Intelligence
Diranor Cadain had seen better days, but he had a feeling that his pain was just a pale shadow of what Maramere's would be.

It hadn't been long since the fall of Maridun, not nearly long enough for the shattered bones of his left wrist to mend or the ugly blaster burn across his back to heal over. He was held together by skin grafts, a quick-seal splint, and a heavy dose of painkillers, none of which were particularly good for his combat effectiveness. This was a self-given mission he shouldn't even be on, and there would be hell to pay when Gallant debriefed him. But it would be worth it if he could somehow prevent, or at least mitigate, the tragedy to come. Because Sith were nothing if not bringers of tragedy, and the Sith were here.

Diranor had identified Darth Banshee outside the mining facility on Maridun; of all the Sith, she was perhaps easiest to recognize, being queen of a well-known planet. She had been on her way offworld when he'd tumbled into the waste mineral trench, but he'd managed to catch up once they hit space - fleets the size of her raiding party were tough to miss. He'd had no idea where she was going, and he'd had to trail the Sith for quite some distance, running on minimal power and maintaining long range to keep from being caught in any sensor sweeps. Now, at least, he had an answer as to her target. It wasn't an answer he liked.

A minor planet in a backwater part of the galaxy, Maramere didn't have much to offer on its own. But during the Clone Wars, the Separatists had built a storage facility for rare and valuable stygium crystals on the watery world. The native Mere, a fish-like aquatic people, had taken over the repository, and that stygium-filled vault still drew jealous eyes centuries later. Diranor was pretty sure that Darth Banshee intended to make off with some of the stealth-enhancing minerals, and he doubted she planned to pay for them. Letting the Sith get her hands on stealth technology would be really bad for the galaxy.

Of course, the new mines on Maridun demanded slaves as well, and Diranor had a sinking feeling that the Mere might be on the menu.

The question was how he could prevent any of it. He was one badly-injured man in a beaten-up old freighter; he couldn't exactly stand up to a full Sith raiding force on his own. His best chance, then, was to deliver a warning, help the Mere mobilize against the onrushing darkness. Laying a course into the navicomputer, he descended toward Point Modie, the capital city. At present, it was a beautiful city of gleaming skyscrapers beside warm beaches and soft blue seas. When the Sith were done ransacking it for whatever they chose to steal... Diranor shook his head. He would do his best to keep that from happening.
