Telekinetic Throat Hugging (Darth Arcanix)

Khan Ra

Khan strode down the halls of the Sith Temple, making his way to the training room where he was to meet with [member="Darth Arcanix"]. Much had happened since his last training session with the Sith Lord, where he had learned how to channel Sith Lightning. He had been promoted to Knight, for one. However, he still had much he wanted to learn- so he had contacted the Sith who had taught him before. She had said she would be willing to teach him again... so here he was.

Hopefully this time training would be less painful...

Taeli sighed as she watched a miserable excuse for an acolyte fail to even get a solid Force Grip on the prisoners' throats. Honestly, how was someone expected to be a Sith if they couldn't do a proper Force Choke.

"Just go," she groaned, gesturing for the acolyte to leave. "Tell the instructors I'll be having a word with them about you, can't believe you can't even choke men who have killed civilians."

The young acolyte scampered from the room, passing Khan Ra as he entered.

"Ah, Khan Ra, I got your message," she said, smiling now. "Congratulations are in order for the promotion, oh and ignore them for now. Some terrorists slated for execution, blew up a hospital."

The last was aimed at the five prisoners strung along the wall in chains.

Khan blinked at the Acolyte as he ran past, before looking up to [member="Darth Arcanix"]. The Felactian gave a nod as she mentioned his promotion, and gave a short smile, before glancing at the terrorists. "Republic? Or rogue?" He glanced to each of the scared-looking men, one of them looking extremely relieved that the Acolyte had not been able to end his life. Khan made a mental note to kill him first, if he got the chance to.

After another moment of looking over the prisoners, Khan turned back to Arcanix. He was not one to waste time. "When do we start?"

[member="Khan Ra"]

Those two over there were freelancers, he's a member of a splinter anarchy cell, and these two are Republic operatives," Taeli said, pointing each man out in turn. "As for starting, we can begin immediately, and luckily for today, we don't have to worry about hurting you. That's what these scum are for."

Turning to look at them with a look of disdain, she continued saying, "Force Choke is really not too different from a normal Force Grip, but there are a few differences. You need absolute concentration to keep the choke in place, any distraction, and the choke is broken. Also, generally, you need a line of sight with the person you want to choke, but especially skilled practitioners do not need that. They only need to feel them in the Force."

"Now, reach out with the Force, and grip your first victim's throat with it," she instructed. "Imagine as though your hand is what is choking them."

Khan glanced at each man briefly, a small smile showing itself. They were all scared, he could sense that much. They'd been captured by the Sith, and now they were being used as test dummies for dangerous Darksided abilities. Some of them were simply terrified. It was amusing.

Khan nodded as Arcanix gave directions and raised a hand, directing it to the terrorist sat in the middle. The one who the Acolyte before him had been trying to practice on. The man's eyes widened, and he abruptly began to struggle against his bonds. But, of course, that did absaloutely nothing.

Khan focused the force around the man's throat, instructing it to compress, to grip at the man's throat, to cutt off his supply of oxygen. At first, nothing happened. The man began to calm down somewhat. Perhaps this one was like the Acolyte before him? He would fail? Khan fcused on the an's throat, visualizing the man reaching for his throat, choking, sputtering for air... Bending the Force to make his thoughts reality. After a minute, much longer then acceptable for using the ability in combat, Khan thought, the man's eyes widened as he tried to raise his arms to his throat, trying to clear away a hand that wasn't there. The man sputtered and choked for air, his lungs trying to expand to no avail. The other terrorists watched their friend in horror as his face turned a shade of red, struggling with no reward, for oxygen. Finally, after an exghausting minute, the man stopped struggling.

Khan lowered his hand slowly, breathing heavily. He had never attempted to sustain any form of telekinesis that long- let alone something that required the concetration of a Force Choke. However, he had done it, albiet much too slowly. And the man was dead.

"Well, not bad for a first time," Taeli said, using the Force to break the corpse's chains and letting it fall to the floor. "Needs to be much faster, but practice makes perfect. A hint to help you do it faster and not get tired from the effort is to imagine what it feels like to have your corporeal hand around your victim's throat."

Standing back, she would let him choose his next victim while she would watch and observe. You could always learn something interesting about an ability or person through their actions, and she could get some valuable scientific data from everything occurring.

Khan nodded. She was correct- it was too long. if his enemy hadn't been tied to a chair he wouldn't have had nearly enough time. But he just needed practice- he would be quicker.

Khan glanced from face to face of the four remaining terrorists, much like a predatory cat choosing it's next meal. They seemed terified, trying to get themselves free from their bonds. One, however, remained still; one of the republic operatives. Likely more used to handling Sith then the others. Khan smiled.

The Felactian took a step closer to the man, raising his hand once more. He once again imagined the man struggling for breath, imagined an invisible hand clamping over the man's throat. After a moemnt he did as was suggested- imagining his own hand clenching tight over the man's wind pipe. It was much faster this time.

After a ten seconds' pause, fear registered in the man's eyes as air stopped coming into his lungs. Khan tightened his grip on the air, imagining the man struggling under his grasp, and in turn the telekinetic force over his throat tightened as well. The man was struggling now, trying to tip over his chair to get free. But he was losing oxygen. He didn't struggle long.

"Much better, my friend, much better," she said, looking over the man Khan had just finished strangling. It was always interesting to observe the aftereffects, both physical and in the Force. Still, as fascinating as it was for her, the lesson needed to continue.

"Now, a question for you," she said, smiling. "I'm sure you've seen Sith use this technique in combat, so I ask you, how are they able to do this in the middle of the chaos and distractions of war?"

Khan smiled as he sensed the sudden bursts of terror that came from the remaining three hostages. They knew now that Khan was not like the Acolyte that had come before him. He was planning to kill them: every single one of them.

The Felactian turned away from the three remaining men as [member="Darth Arcanix"] spoke. It was a valid question... It required concentration, something difficult to achieve while being shot at, stabbed at, and generally fighting for your life. Khan gave the only answer he knew: "Practice. Learned concentration."

[member="Khan Ra"]

"That is indeed part of it," Taeli said with a smile. "As your skill with the technique grows, the less concentration it requires to perform and kill your enemies. Eventually, it can reach the point where it's only a second thought while you perform another technique or engage in a saber duel."

She could say learning Force Choke helped with gaining a better understanding of Force Grip as well, and eventually lead to someone learning Force Crush, but that was for another time and not when he had more men to practice.

"Choose another, and make it faster and try to use less concentration to pull it off, you have the visualization and the basics to perform the technique down," she said, circling around the room.

Khan nodded. He had seen others simply raise a hand and their enemy was choking to death. That's what he was hoping to be able to do. The Knight looked from face to face of the frightened terrorists, taking his pick on who to try next. After a moment, he settled on the remaining republic operative.

Khan raised a hand quickly, trying to go for speed this time. He imagined his hand on the man's throat, cutting off his oxygen supply. He imagined the air being pushed out of his lungs, the man grabbing for his throat to allow himself to breathe again despite his hands being bound to his chair. It was much quicker this time- only a few seconds before the man began to sputter and gag. Khan smiled. He was a much faster learner, it seemed, then the Acolyte before him.

After a minute or so, it seemed this particular man could hold his breath for awhile, the Felactian watched as the man finally stopped struggling, becoming limp in his seat. Khan lowered his hand, breathing a bit heavier then normal. Though it wasn't as exghausting as lightning, learning any new ability took it's toll on your energy at some point. However, just being ana pplication of normal telekinesis, this didn't take too much more energy then simply lifting a rock or another basic use of Telekinesis would... Khan would be fine. The other two men, however, would not.

"Two left, Khan," she said, examining the new corpse. "Make your choice, but I must say, you've got a very good grasp of the technique now, I'll have to introduce some distractions though to make sure you get the full lesson and can keep your concentration enough to perform the choke."

Whenever he would start onto his next subject, Taeli would start playing sounds of battle: explosions, blaster cannons, men and women yelling, lightsabers clashing, all of it. It would be an interesting test of his concentration and see if he would be affected by the sounds. If not, then the final test for him would be on his last subject, but that would be for a little later.

Still, her datapad was constantly streaming her data about the prisoners and how they were reacting to the Force attack.

Khan smiled as [member="Darth Arcanix"] spoke behind him, but didn't look away from the two remaining terrorists. Distractions? That would be the true test. He would be using this in battle, not just killing people strapped to chairs.

Khan nodded to Arcanix, before letting his gaze settle on the man from the 'Anarchy cell'. The Felactian grinned as he saw the man's eyes widen with fear, a moemnt before he raised his hand and sent the force to wrap around the man's neck. Then the sounds began. Sounds that reminded him of the Invasion of Kashyyyk, sounds of not just little skirmishes but a full out war.

Just as the man had started to choke, to grab for his throat, he began gasping, ttaking in huge mouthfulls of air as Khan's invisible grip loosened for a moment. However, the man's luck only lasted for a second. A moment later, Khan once more visuallized the man chokling... felt his grasp tighten.... he did his best to tune out the sounds playing from Arcanix's datapad, ignoring the sounds of blaster fire and lightsabers, and instead focusing on tightening his non-corpreal grasp...

Just as he had started to hope that the Knight would fail, as the Acolyte before him did, the man's face began to go red once more. The gasps of oxygen he had taken in while Khan had been distracted would only last him for so long... And the Felactian did not waver again.

Soon, there was only one left.
