    Skills
    Investment and Economics
One of the first languages Telis learned was the language of money. Telis has a natural skill in identifying economic trends and finding the boom and bust of business, and paired with his eye for interest and often brutal honesty, he can identify trends without much thought. This, paired with his family’s affluent background, has led to him becoming a brilliant yet ruthless investor and economist, maintaining a careful balance between business loyalty and the maximization of profit for his own gain

    Engineering and Technology
Attending some of the best schools of robotics in all of Galactic City, Telis has learned quite a knack for robots, machines, and cybernetics. To Telis, a machine is one of the most trustworthy things in the galaxy - the only reason a machine doesn’t fulfill its functions is if there is a malfunction in its code. Telis has gained a reputation for being the shadow-mind behind several higher-end weapons, alongside helping to make great strides in the fields of cybernetics and even architectural engineering - after all, if a city block isn’t productive, then all it takes is a bit of quick fixing in the “code.”

    Oration and Public Speaking
As is common amongst the highborn of Coruscant, Telis was trained with a skill for public speaking, oration, and even artistic performance to an extent. Telis was taught from an early age exactly just how to make himself the center of attention, and it has not only proved useful in business negotiations and making an impact at social gatherings, but has even proved useful in times of war. When Telis sets his mind to rally a crowd or a battalion, there is little that can stop him from inspiring those that lend an ear to his preaching.

    Piloting and Navigation
Telis’s childhood was interrupted by many things, but through all those other obligations he had he managed to make time to find a love for ships, piloting, and stellar navigation. While he is no ace-pilot by a long shot, Telis is pretty reliable behind the helm of a ship, and his greatest strengths come in in sheer reaction speed of obstacles, and how to fly under the radar (running from Coruscant authorities taught him that one). It’s not often that Telis will get lost in the cosmos, and he can often find the quickest route from one system to another.

    Command and Strategy
Telis is a clever, smart, and calculating individual when he’s not engaged in the fury of fighting on the front lines. While his training is rather unconventional, Telis is able to think on his feet and strategize to counter the moves of opponents in politics or on the field. Not exactly a true general like others, Telis is quick to utilize on-field inspiration to rally troops or supporters, intermixed with plans that think ten steps ahead. While he’s not the most trained leader in the field of war or political gaming, Telis is far from foolish or unskilled, even if his nature might make him more prone to ambitious and perhaps risky decisions.

  • Combat Training and Force Capabilities
Telis Taharin is no stranger to combat, and he is in fact quite skilled in the arts of fighting. Despite his highborn birth and the aura of entitlement he often carries around with him, Telis’s style of fighting is far more savage, fast, and manipulative of every advantage that it is offered. Telis is a practitioner of Form IV, Ataru, and he often uses it with Jar’Kai when using dual sabers in an exotic display of parrying, throwing, and blocking. Beyond that, his style of choice often ends up with a flurry of fast-paced attacks in-between large, swooping movements, and an agility that keeps him from being an easy target to hit. He thrives in the chaos of large-scale fights, becoming a whirlwind of aimed strikes and deadly fury in a battle.

When it comes to his training in the Force, Telis first began training at the age of 9, leaving Coruscant and moving to Dromund Kaas in order to train with other acolytes. He was a natural prodigy, and though he often lacked the fury that other Sith acolytes had, he more than made up for it with drive, ambition, and desire. Such was the case when Telis began to study the little-known “Art of the Small,” utilizing it in a variety of ways that helped him overcome the peers he trained with. When he lost his hand in the crash that killed his brother, Telis began to discover the art of Mechu-deru, and he devoted himself to it as he soon realized his natural skill in the Sith magic, quickly asserting himself as a Technomancer. When he began his apprenticeship under Kascalion Geidfield, the Pyramid of Scientific Advancement of the Sith Empire, the hereditary art of Sith Alchemy was discovered in his genus, and his skill with it began to be cultivated.

    Telis Taharin’s Lightsabers
Telis’s chitin-ornamented lightsabers were made as challenge by his mentor in an attempt for him to prove his ingenuity and intellect, but the story of the chitin-ornamented sabers goes back to the very beginning of Telis’s training, on account of the twin kyber-crystals inside, stolen from Telis’s first two kills of a Force Diad, and bled until nothing but darkness remained. The hilts themselves are made to fit a hand-and-a-half, with the blade stretching a bit longer than normal Sith lightsabers. A splint-glass focusing lens helps the blades to burn a pure red, as hot as starfire, but also splinters some of the energy run-off in the form of sparks and jagged conduction in the air. Within the blade is an integrated heat-sink, which helps keep the hilts cool while the blades are burning brightly. Formidable to behold, the sabers, known only as the “Twin Dancers,” are deadly in the hands of their host, a brother and sister forged for the profession of death.

    Gryylarc’s Lightstaff
Within Telis’s arsenal is also a Lightstaff once belonging to the Wookiee Sith Knight, Gryylarc, who was slain by Telis’s hand and both his claws and weapon taken as trophies. A longer, heavier, and more brutish weapon when first found, after deconstructing and refurbishing, Telis remade the Lightstaff into a formidable and fast striking tool that fits well with his personal favored fighting styles, gifting it a new purpose and purging it of its past owner’s usage. Engraved with markings that show images of both mechanical and winter imagery, Telis re-utilized the same style of projection he used in his “Twin Dancers” for purifying and sharpening the blades affixed to the spear-staff, while installing a hinge to allow the staff to split into two for safekeeping. Gryylarc’s Lightstaff is far more nimble, light, and finished, fitting Telis’s weight and strength and accounting for his increased dexterity and more fluid fighting style. The weapon, stripped of its old name, was engraved with a new name: the “Apostasy’s End.”

  • Strengths
    (+) Affluence

Telis is, undeniably, very very wealthy, and while a lot of said wealth goes back into the galactic economy, it eventually tends to cycle back as profit for the Coruscanti. Affluence of course means many things, and beyond having a very large amount of spare capital to spend, it gives Telis the opportunity to interact with the high seat of society and what that may entail, alongside granting him the ability to generally pass over difficulties that others of lower wealth might have.

    (+) Presence
Telis Taharin is not as likable as his brother, but the Sith still carries as much of a presence as his departed sibling. Whenever Telis goes, he carries with him an air of confidence and an insurance that somehow, no matter what, he will get what he wants. Through this air of presence and confidence, Telis is able to rally armies, but also command a room in tense negotiation - after all, Telis knows when to be intense and unrelenting when it suits him best. Telis is also a person that tends to leave an impression where they go, for better or for worse.

    (+) The Machinist
Telis Taharin is, at heart, a scientist as much as he is a fighter and a businessman, and he has a mind for seeing things come together. Telis is infatuated with the concept of moving forward, and bringing things to a more “evolved” state. Improvement is key, and he has an eye for it in all things, whether it be machines, alchemy, Sithspawn, regions, or even himself. Telis is not only able to see what he can improve and identify how things come together expertly, but he has the will to act on it - after all, evolution is unstoppable, and neither is progress.

    (+) Lord of the Night
Telis Taharin - or Lord Aagenti, as he would consider himself in such a circumstance - is a honed blade in combat and a natural user of the Dark Side, truly embodying it. Malicious, eldritch, ferocious, and wholly free-spirited, Telis’s nature as a Sangri-Vampire has only freed him to divulge into his deepest ambitions and unchain his inner nature. Once-human limits are now further away, and though his is not truly immortal and all-powerful, he has played his cards well enough to sit amidst the most powerful of the Sith, owing his ownership of “the night” to his ambition alone.

    Weaknesses
    (-) Overconfidence

Telis is constantly having to vie against centuries-older sorcerers and warlords, and facing things unimaginable. He is often not even a fraction of the age of his colleagues, and while this has degraded him and constantly puts him on edge and feeling that he has to be better than he could humanly supply, when success comes across him he wears it as visibly as a cloak. Telis, in some ways, feels immortal for the things he’s endured and the accomplishments he’s undertaken, but he is far from infallible. And every day he fears when he might just falter truly.

    (-) Elitism
Telis Taharin often blames members of the lower classes for some of the tragedies that he’s endured through is life, and while he doesn’t go out of his way to exactly segregate others of lower income from himself, he does his best to dissociate from them and treats them as though they are below him and not worth his time. This can come off as a stain on his personality at times, and at the same time it can cut out many potential business partners and avenues of cheap goods that he could find useful.

    (-) “Only the Finest”
Telis Taharin has a compulsive need to own the best - to have the most cutting edge technology at his disposal, the finest synthetic leathers, and the best ships he can afford, even if it means buying experimental crafts. Whatever the case is, Telis can not stand seeing somebody with higher-quality goods than what he currently owns, and he won’t waste a single credit if it means getting the finest models of equipment and technology as soon as they hit the market. Seeing others with higher-quality equipment makes him absolutely green with envy (literally), and having to use equipment or technology he considers “outdated” makes him red with rage (once more, also seriously).

    (-) Sanguinism
The Sith are not creatures of “idleness,” and Vampires in the same way are often characterized for fiery desires and flares of passion between their cold, reserved nature. Telis is overly showy in matters of combat and self-display, but more than that he does not try to exercise inhibition, caution, or prudence when he indulges in blood and bloodlust. Though this is very much a positive trait in the circles of the Sith, to outsiders he appears as living chained to his own contentment and his own satisfaction. In certain circles, then, his perception is “less than admirable.”

  • Bio
Telis Taharin was born into the seat of Coruscant highlife, the second of two strong heirs of the Taharin bloodline, and named for the relationship to the ancient Sith Lord, Darth Taharin. While Telis was raised on Coruscant as a Coruscanti, the true place of his birth was on Arkania, a Strand-Cast spliced with his parent’s genes created by Draxin Biomedical, a company that Lucius Taharin had invested in and selected for their acute “attention to detail” in their undertakings. Coruscant, at the time of Telis’s birth, was still strongly ruled by the oppressive Sith Empire, and while others struggled in the atmosphere, the Taharin family, thanks to their claim of bloodline, found themselves easily bolstered by the presence of the Sith Empire. As the younger brother of Perin Taharin, Telis was the more ignored in the eyes of Lucius Taharin, but his mother tenderly cared and loved for the younger brother, especially as it came to light of the aberrant genetic weakness that was Telis’s fragile immune system when he was young.

Growing up, Telis’s father’s focus still remained largely on Perin and building him up to be a strong and capable leader one day, but Telis did begin to take interest into some of the subjects his father preached about, from economics to weapons-manufacturing. Telis began schooling at an early age, being considered “naturally gifted” due to his genetic tailoring, and while he at first succeeded in his classes, Telis would eventually catch a sickness that was spreading through some of the lower levels of Coruscant. The young prodigy grew incredibly sick, his learning out on hold as he had to be hospitalized, almost dying so young into life. The entirety of the event scarred young Telis, and while there were no lasting wounds or disabilities, it had given Telis a fear of disease that would shape him even as an adult, it becoming one of his greatest weaknesses.

But, Telis did his best to let such an event fade in behind him, though it did make him start to realize just how fragile his biological life was. At the age he was at, it was a vastly mature thought and revelation, and the fear of that fragility also set him up to discover his connection with the Force, when he accidentally shoved his brother into a wall telekinetically. The showing of Telis’s powers presented Lucius and Moira with a tough choice, as giving Telis to the empire would mean an influx of wealth and a pension for the Force-sensitive child, but it would mean thrusting Telis into a dangerous life. Eventually, it was Moira who decided that Telis was best off joining the Sith Order, and with that, he was sent away from Coruscant to Dromund Kaas, to begin gaining a grasp in the Dark Side of the Force.

While he trained in the Sith Arts, Telis continued to mature into a business-minded individual, and he still spent time monitoring economic trends while attempting to live as other rich and entitled youths would. Many times Telis got in trouble, but he was able to often talk himself out of it, even if his companions weren’t so lucky. He became a bit of a loner as more and more his friends were punished and drifted away from him out of envy that he was able to navigate himself to freedom. During this time he has begun to send messages to his beside playmate, Gaern, as a means to have some form of socialization, and as he matured, he eventually grew out of such recklessness, retaining a larger group of friends even though he often acted quite cold to them in an attempt to assert himself as not needing friendship nor even wanting it (which, of course, he did in some part).

During his studies, eventually, Telis ranked up to the rank of Knight, while using his spare funds to make a name for himself on the galactic market as a smart investor. He quickly realized that he had his father’s knack for the skill, and alongside Force powers, Telis had been training in engineering, martial training, leadership, biochemistry, and of course, economics. Telis developed a bit of a swagger and he was exceeding far beyond the other Knights he was paired with, but his life stopped when news was brought of the death of Lucius Taharin. Without a second thought, Telis left his training behind in order to return home to mount the loss of his father with his brother, who had in that time become a very notable politician and bureaucrat in Coruscant, using his charisma to try and preach a return to Sith-minded government, after the loss of the Sith Empire’s control of Coruscant.

Telis remained in Coruscant to help out while Moira continued to grieve the loss of her husband. On a fateful day nearing the colder season of Coruscant, Telis decided to accompany Perin to join him in a rally to support a return of Sith power to Coruscant, gathering popularity for the cause. On the way towards the rally, however, Perin was shot and killed by an assassin from the lower levels of Coruscant, hired by a political rival to kill Perin. The hovercar that Perin was in crashed, and Telis miraculously survived, however losing his hand in the process.

When he finally regained consciousness, once more Telis was faced with how fragile the world was, and how lucky he had been where others had not. Vengeance filled his heart and he vowed to one day find the man who killed his brother, and the man who hired him, but the bigger concern right now was adjusting to his new life with a cybernetic claw. His mother, hearing about the death of her son so soon after her husband, completely locked herself away into the Taharin Ancestral Estate, becoming a recluse and disappearing from society. Telis too disappeared, albeit then to Ziost, to begin studying Sith magic to find a way to once more regain control of his hand, and he found it through the art of Mechu-deru: Sith technomagic. Telis discovered that he was a natural adept at it, and once he took time to put his life back together through meditation in the Dark Side, he returned to society to put together the life his father and brother left behind.

On Coruscant, things had greatly changed, and the only servant his family had left was the one who was with Telis from the very beginning - Gaern, now named Gaern Tah to acknowledge his official freedom. Telis set to work repairing the Taharin Interests, selling stock in outdated markets and instead investing them in new, exotic, and perhaps even risky ventures, which seemed to always pay off in favor of him. While he grew his name as a ruthless and effective investor, he began to live a double-life, working his duties as a Sith Knight on the side, and eventually earning his own lightsabers, killing a pair of Force-Diad Jedi twins and bleeding their identical kyber crystals to create his infamous “Twin Dancers.” He healed they reputation of the Taharin Interests, and by accepting that he could never make himself out to be fully benevolent, Telis Taharin became rich and famous across Coruscant.

But life began to slow down for Telis, and his ambitions soared beyond his business ventures. More and more he wished to acquire true power, and to become more and more entrenched in the Sith Empire that he had been born a citizen of, and forged into a warrior by. The opportunity came with the rumor of Darth Abbadon’s search for an apprentice, and without hesitation, even though the high chance of death, Telis took the offer. Against all odds, his risky gambit played out, and he was eventually taken under the wing of the Pyramid of Scientific Advancement, discovering yet another power latent in his Sith bloodline - Sith Alchemy. With a new mentor and a new skill to train amongst all his others, Telis was reinvigorated and reinspired, his ambition now finding new outlets while his mind thought more and more on the fragility of life, and how it can be instead replaced, upgraded, rebuilt, and evolved with the tools he had at his disposal.

Telis Taharin continued to reign as a ruthless capitalist in the markets of Coruscant, even though his penthouse there had been destroyed in an attempt to prevent the Greyson Imperium from finding out the secrets of his true identity. Building up an ever-expanding web of stocks and trade partners, Telis found a strong partner in another Sith Knight, Cara Dorniarn, and with her he had found a confide and possible business venture that was interrupted by the assault on Mandalore. Intervening and holding the city of Ronion, Telis mercilessly defended against the incursion of the Network, fighting firsthand on the battlefield.

After the invasion of Mandalore and the success of the Sith’s defense, Telis once more resumed his attempts at growing his prestige and power on the eyes of the Sith Empire, making new allies and enemies, especially as the dawn of a new rebellion divided loyalties and set the Sith Empire in a state of chaos. Telis, siding with the loyalists of the empire, became a passionate defender of the current reign of the Emperor, and through his actions earned himself ascendancy from Telis to Darth Aagenti, the Lord of Ambition. As a full-fledged Sith Lord and with a new identity in the eyes of the Sith Empire, Telis turned his focus away from the life he had led on Coruscant, still maintaining his web, but pursuing his own rise and the ensured strength of the Sith Empire.

Such ambition eventually culminated in the momentous rise of Telis as the Pyramid of Military Command of the Sith Empire, abandoning almost all of his life as he soared beyond the ambition of others in a matter of months, a brilliant mind paired with a commanding and inspiring presence and his deadly skill on the field backing him up in the nature of his new careers. Telis fully forwent the previous name he had, accepting the name of Darth Aagenti in full and standing as now an equal to his former master. A demiurge of power, Telis had started down on a dark road of evolution and transformation, casting behind his past but not his allies.

At some point, after the conflicts of the schism between the Sith Empire and the New Imperial Order and the announcement of Kascalion Geidfeld proclaiming themselves the true Dark Lord, Telis began to dabble into arts of his own. Incited to envy and anger over the strange situation between himself, @Ingrid L’lerim, and AMCO AMCO , alongside these series of misfortunes, Telis was driven in proving himself a Sith Lord as comparable and even superior to his peers. While finally taming and subjugating a wild Cirmuhai to call his own and allowing himself the freedom to be more liberal with his appearance and presentation in the eyes of society, his successes in other endeavors were not so lucky. Telis, in an attempt to create his own Dark Nexus, failed, and through it he created an affliction that haunted him and filled his veins.

Only through further experimentation was he able to find a way to harness this rogue power into a form with direction. While he became a Force Vampire, he transformed the condition into something else, combining it with an older affliction and resulting in a true “vampire” in his eyes. Though still spited that he had failed, he saw this as an opportunity for transfiguration, asserting himself as a master of evolution, stepping away from his once-fears of his “biological mortality” and moving forward with ambition enough to claim that he alone was the lord of the night.

Yet despite how much he holds, he did not truly transform himself, and, as he puts it, “only naturally evolved in the way that he was heading.” He still continued to find his humanity despite now being further from human, and slowly began to re-assert himself as not only a Sith but as a ruler. He still keeps his support wholeheartedly in the Sith Empire, and though his trust and relations with the other Sith are strained by his continuous failures and his mentor’s declarations, he continues to prove time and time again that he is both loyal and ambitious enough to take what is rightfully his in his mind.
