A standard Temachizon 'droid'; visible is the armor plating (light brown) and the interior musculature (dark green). The Temachizon droid is approximately twice as big as a Buzz Droid.
A Temachizon pod, fully retracted, on the left. The same pod, fully extended and deployed as a combat-ready droid.
The same pods, to scale with a standard Humanoid as found throughout the galaxy.
A close-up of the feet - in this orientation, the flat gripping foot has swapped out for an extremely sharp hook.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Designed with and for the Sylva Vitae biotech suite, each Temachizon (teh-MAH-kiz-on) is its own plant-based 'droid'.
- Slimfit light armor
- Sero sensor suite
- Chyme slurry
- Plem cells
- C. viridis
- F. conexias
- Razorgrass (Wookieepedia)
- Each 'droid' is alive and is a living self-contained organism. Filled with a tensed web of interconnected fibers and a small reservoir of Chyme fluid for repair and regeneration, each droid is designed for hit-and-run tactics, and able to sustain itself for a short period of time in between recharges. In a natural environment (forests, unimproved roads, fields, etc), the droids are capable of rooting themselves into the terrain to recharge and refuel.
- Able to fold up for mass storage and increased refuel and repair rate, the Temachizon can be stored in a pod of 22 to be dropped as an entire swarm at once, or plucked individually for increased dispersal.
- Self-repairing and self-refueling, even in combat, allow it to maintain a battlefield presence for a short time without having to retreat for resupply.
- Entirely self-automated, as one singular symbiotic organism.
- Fully organic biotech is almost invisible to standard detecting technology.
- As a highly articulable hexapede 'droid', it is capable of scuttling and moving about extremely quickly, covering ground with disturbing speed.
- Clawed feet are capable of scaling sheer walls and cliffsides, for intrusion into even extreme environments
- Razorgrass and armor makes it scary in melee, shredding just about everything in its way to reach its objective
- Organic construction requires supplementing fuel and energy; it cannot maintain battlefield presence for any extended period of time.
- Force-sensitive design requires that the 'droid' never enter a Force void. It will lock up and become inoperative otherwise.
- Force-based propulsion and construction is slower and heavier compared to contemporary technology, and also falls under the latter mentioned weakness of inoperability in a Force void
- A lack of projectile weapons makes the droid melee-focused only - at range, it is entirely ineffective.
Designed after insect physiology and Sylva Vitae biotech theory, the Temachizon 'droid' is Sylva Arma's first foray into combat droid biotech - a 'biodroid'. In keeping with Sylva Vitae 'every unit is its own discrete organism', the Temachizon is itself a fully living symbiosis of plants and fungi, all working together as one unified weapon.
Each Temachizon unfurls itself from an armored pod resembling an oversize acorn, using plant-based musculature as an organic movement system. The armor maintains as part of the biodroid's physiology, and is self-repairing (to a point) based on the nutrients stored within the biodroid. The segments unfurl into full length claw-tipped legs, and can be used as physical weapons in their own right. Each biodroid can take time to root into the ground, absorbing local nutrients to refuel and rearm without having to leave the area of operation. It can also completely fold back up into an armored pod for increased resilience, for burying and concealment, or for redeployment as necessary.
In combat, the Temachizon will scuttle forward and cover ground extremely quickly, swarming its target along with its brethren. Using feet to cover the ground and switching over to hooks when it approaches its target, it will use the mass of its body to launch itself at an enemy, and the sharp edges and razorgrass-lined body to puncture and slash through armor and flesh alike. In essence, it is a fully organic buzz saw of a 'droid'.[/SPOILER]
