Tenebrae Tenebras Vocat II - Electric Boogaloo

Floodlights swept their judging gazes across one of the many fertile valleys dotting Sartinaynian's eastern hemisphere, the hum of a dozen powerful engines ripping through the night air as several dropships swept across the area looking for signs of life. These roaming bands of hunters were a regular site outside of the Sith-controlled cities and villages, perpetually hunting for Mandalorians who had escaped the initial battle when the Sith Ascendancy emerged from the stars to wrestle away control of the planet from the Force Hunters.

And tonight they were closing in on their target.

For many moons the Mandalorians had escaped the net thrown over them, burrowing into the mountains and hiding within primitive native tribes to evade capture and summary execution. They had abandoned the tactic of holding their ground in valiant, but foolish, last stands in favor of guerilla campaigns that slowly ate away at whatever garrisons the Ascendancy left behind in the quadrants they had already combed over. The trail had gone cold several weeks back, but the tenacious trackers of the Ascendancy had finally picked up the trail again and were one the verge of ensnaring the Force Hunters once and for all.

There was a problem though, the location of the Force Hunter's secret underground compound was in the same valley occupied by a native village that had not been presently accounted for on any existing records the Ascendancy had concerning the planet's inhabitants. Either by chance or by design they had been forgotten, which to ImpIntel was concerning. If one village had escaped their notice, how many more undocumented villages were there that the Force Hunters could use to conceal their numbers?

Thus a plan was concocted by Darth Carnifex, Warmaster of the Ascendancy, that would draw the Force Hunters out of hiding by dangling a piece of bait in front of their noses. A single dropship would land at the far end of the valley opposite of the native village where they would disembark their ground troops and walkers. The soldiers would then organize themselves into a single column and advance towards the village as recklessly as they could, making no effort to hide themselves from the enemy. If the Force Hunters took the bait, then the four other dropships full of men and walkers would advance from the mountains and reinforce the main pillar wherever needed. If they didn't show up at all, then another village would have been absorbed into the Ascendancy.

The plan was approved and put into action, a single dropship landing as instructed and deploying its payload. The main force would quickly assemble and begin a slow march towards the village far in the distance right as the hour clicked over to 0300.
