With the popularity of the Ambassador and other such designs, but the slow reload and inability to effectively conceal the revolver type handgun, Tenloss created a middle ground between the Ambassador and other, small pistols.
Keeping in mind the need for a hard hitting, powerful bullet but requiring a smaller pistol frame, the Tenloss Model 9 - Type 11 pistol, or Tenloss M9-T11, was the end result. While still a heavier pistol than most blasters, the weapon is robust and reliable, working in almost any weather condition or temperature with relative ease. The pistol fires an energy enveloped .45 caliber slug capable of bringing down most human sized assailants with ease. The weapon is semiautomatic and features a seven round magazine, allowing the user to put down multiple opponents with relative ease and security. The weapon is slim despite its weight, allowing the user to easily conceal and store the weapon. The most prominent feature, however, is the M9-T11's selector switch that allows the weapon to function as a blaster/slugthrower hybrid... or a standard slugthrower. This lets the user save power consumption for later use, to use the pistol even when the power is dry, or to use the weapon when the power cell is disabled for whatever reason.
The only real downsides to the weapon are the weight and the low count magazine, though this is considered negligible due to the weapon's stopping power and ease of use.
