Tentative Starfighter Organization

Okay, just a tentative organization chart, here.

Squadron = 10-12 starfighters
Wing = 2-4 Squadrons
Group = 2-4 Wings

In essence, this can apply to Interceptors, Starfighters, and Bombers which would mean the total numbers would be...

A Wing would number between 20 to 48 starfighters

A Group would number between 40 to 192 starfighters.

This is a rough draft, so to speak. The numbers are variable and can apply to both carrier fighter groups and planetary fighter groups. This doesn't cover Gunships or Dropships just yet. Thoughts on the rough outline?

I don't think I've ever seen group used here beyond people using it to have several fighters doing something like 'A small group of fighters gave chase.'

I'm not sure it's necessary to list out higher formations. It's easier if people know that a squadron is 12 craft and that the 72 fighters a ship carries forms 6 squadrons. Anything else is just overcomplicated.

Fair enough, though me personally I like the amount of detail. I think it'll help out with other detail oriented folks, personally, and give more flavor to fleeting and such. It may also give folks a better idea of just how the fighters work on a carrier.
