I figured that we'd start our own thread so we don't clutter up the ground batlte thread too much.
I'd love to have pilots involved in this if possible.
Since many of the old CIS starships were relatively lightly armed but carried tons of starfighters, there should be a lot of dogfighting opportunities with just the defenders, but with everyone else present, it will be a great chance to encounter some new foes and starships as well.
Have any pilots thought about what they'll be flying?
I've already submitted my fleet and its starfighter complement for the competition. It has the following starfighters in it ready to fly:
Kalidor-class Scout Fighter
LLS-3 Dodonna-class Interceptor
Narra-class Interceptor with and without the Starfighter upgrade package
Monsoon-class Starfighter
Freefall Bomber
Scurrg H6 bomber
I know that none of these are quite like the X-wings the Blazing Angels used to fly.
If there's something else that anyone wants to fly, we can easily have a pilot bring in a something like a Taboon Carrier corvette or Vinnath-class Pocket Carrier to transport whatever type of starfighter they want to fly in; we just need to make sure it gets submitted to Valiens in time for the competition.
Some other options might be the R44 snubfighter or Wroshyr-class Assault Fighter that Archive has just made.
