Testing the Bonds

How long it had been since Rasu had sparred with her old Master, the Shi'ido did not know. However she had forgotten how soothing it felt to grip her metallic sabers within her palms again. Due to the isolation required of the Order of Silver Jedi, it was rare that a Silver Jedi ever need the use of their primary weapon, except for the odd occasion where a sparring or training match would take place, much like today.

The crisp eternal autumn on Voss left the Shi'ido feeling fresh and oddly warm as she left the Temple entrance, making her way casually towards the vacant stone courtyard. Following the tiled path, Rasu took in the scene around her, watching the rings of the nearby orbiting moon, meld with the clouds as they flew by, appearing so close from her vantage point atop Voss-Ka. It was surely a great day to be outside, and Rasu was grateful to the haphazard weather that it had chosen today of all day's to allow light to break through the more depressing water-filled clouds that had clung to the mountain the past few days. It was truly a gift.

Having reached the courtyard, the Jedi Master saw no sign of her beloved, [member="Marek S'hadar"] so began her preparations for the duel. Removing her heavy cloak, she placed it on an overhanging branch, while removing any unnecessary items from her utility belt and placing these within her cloak, before returning to the center of the courtyard, waiting for the arrival of her partner now turned opponent.

"Looking for someone dear?" Marek called out, walking down the steps, feigning happiness. Of course it wasn't entirely real, the man had issues. His twin had turned, he'd murdered his adopted parents who'd made Cale into a sleeper agent as a child, and some nerf herder had taken the last stim caf. Not a great few weeks. But he was here, with the one who kept him on the right path, and he'd take that.

Shrugging off his cloak and tossing it aside along with his actual saber. He'd lost enough limbs as it was. Reaching out he pulled a pair of training sabers to his hand and tossing one to [member="Rasu Gan"]. "Still remember what I taught you? Besides be careful what you eat?" He questioned jokingly, thinking back to their first day. A happier time, which was what his mind was set on as he flipped his saber into his usual reverse grip.

Turning toward the voice, she smiled as she caught sight of Marek, obviously taking his time as he strolled towards the courtyard. "Oh no, just enjoying the scenery." she said, reaching out as she caught the training saber in her open palm. Activating it upon touch, she went through a few short exercises to get comfortable before falling into an offensive stance, awaiting for Marek to get prepared.

"Of course, how could I forget such a face. It was as if a Tatooinian sun had come to life in front of me." she said, grinning, as she mentally chuckled at her little amusing quip, while fighting the laughter at the mention of their little fruit incident, one that will always remain special to the pair. Seeing that Marek was ready, Rasu leaped into action, performing a multiple flips in the air as she hoped to catch him off-guard, before kicked out with her foot when she got close, her boot aiming directly for his left shoulder.
