Noah flexed his arm as the egghead attached the arm portion of the Omega Combat Exoskeleton-1 or the OCE-1 for short. The newest Protectorate invention for its ground forces. Noah had a direct in designing it, from the strength and reflex increasing servos to the Boost Jump that utilized micro-jetpack tech to allow soldiers to jump up to three meters up into the air, high enough for them to be able to hop over obstacles with ease, also it allowed them to safely descended from heights that would normally kill or wound a normal person. Though it did come with other features, both optional and built in, the Boost Jump was only one built in feature, another was the Auto-Stim injector, this allowed multiple types of stims, whether it be painkillers, strength enhancers, focus enhancers and the like. Also included were Mag-Gloves, allowing for a person to scale metal objects with ease, and for non-metal objects, you have a grappling hook built in. There was also a whole suite of optional upgrades some things were self-explanatory, like the slicer tools, Wrist Mounted Slugthrower, Blaster, Flamethrower and Micro-Grenade Launcher. There were also more complicated things, the Upper Body Strength Package allowed for the strength to be increased from tripled to quadrupled, same thing applied for the Lower Body and Quick Reaction packages. The Rebreather allowed for easy underwater operations, the Pneumatic Fists provide a devastating piston to be added as a melee weapon, the Shock Gauntlets allowed for the same thing, only that instead of being a piston, they were electrified. A Motion Sensor allowed for any motion within a 30 meter radius to be picked up and finally you had Directed EMP and Sonic Pulses. Noah sighed as they finished, it felt like a new skin, for the training exercise Noah had picked the EMP pulse, the Micro-Grenade Launcher and the Upper Body Strength Package. Noah had invited Ven to help him test it out in the Pit, even going as far as having a suit made for her, but now all he was doing was waiting.

How many times was she going to play the gerbil? Did that even make sense, considering her size? Probably not. But she didn't really care. Because there were few things better than getting to test out the Protectorate's newest weapons, armors, and gadgets. Doing so was both helpful and fun. Today she was being called to help make sure some new suit worked right. To be honest, she didn't know what exactly that meant. Maybe she was here to punch things. Or throw them. Perhaps she was going to see how much force the suit could take. As far as she knew most of the smaller devices in it had already been tried out. That made sense. Right? The less important they are, or the more common they are, the less they'd need to be worked on. It was the bigger, more intricate things that needed to be tuned up. Ven was generally just the gerbil. She couldn't tune them up herself. But the crazy lady was crazy durable. One needed a lot to take her down. One also needed a lot to prevent her from taking them down.

In essence, she was perfect for this. Corek calling her here hadn't been a surprise. This was what, the fourth time in the past month?... Maybe more, maybe less. It wasn't like she bothered to keep track of how many times she went to the Pit. All she cared about was the money and the toys. The wondrous, deadly, deadly toys. A grin found itself on her face any time she walked into the building. Right now, for example, she was grinning like the madwoman she was.

This was gonna be great!

Noah smiled as Ven walked in and reported. "Good, your here Ven, now we can get down to business." Noah informed his giant friend as he hopped down off of the table he had been sitting on top and motioned for Ven to follow. "So today we're both the test gerbils. We're testing a new type of exoskeleton that the eggheads have dubbed the Omega Combat Exoskeleton-1 or OCE-1 for short. Basically it like power armor, only instead of having a big bulky suit, they stripped it down to its skeleton, so basically we have a exoskeleton that, in theory, increase our speed and reflexes by three-fold, isn't that amazing? With these exoskeletons, we can go toe to toe with forcies, Vong and any of the alchemical nightmares. Present company excluded of course." Finally, the arrived, it was the Pit's R&D lab, where schematics and blueprints came to be turned into real products and either pass or fail inspection. Once inside, Ven would see that in the middle of the room was a OCE-1 about her size that the eggheads were putting the final touches on.

So they were both going to be testing the gear this time? That was interesting. Ven couldn't remember a time before this where Corek wasn't just standing by her and telling her what to do. Well... there had been a few times where he had been standing a fair bit behind her. But that obviously didn't count. This, however, did. They were going to be gerbil buddies! Woot. "The OCE?... Ima call it the Ocy." With that said she followed her commander (what was his official title anyway?). As they walked she listened intently. After the incident of '37 she did her best to know just what she was working with. "Three-fold? Does it increase it for everyone, or just the average person? Because if it can make me that much stronger... well... I think you know what I mean." If you tripled her strength (or anything really) she'd be one of the toughest NFUs out there. Or at least that's what the giantess thought! The fact that she was an alchemized creation, as Noah so 'casually' pointed out, did help. "No offense taken. People like me are weird. Not entirely people either. Let's, uh, well... lets get to work." She walked towards the center of the room without another word.

They were indeed going to be gerbil buddies, both testing multiple things on the OCE, its durability, its strength enhancement, speed enhancement and reflex enhancement. When Ven began to talk Noah listened. "Ocy? Really Ven?" Noah asked a bit sarcastically as the arrived where the eggheads were putting it together and getting it ready for Ven. "It increases the strength, speed and reflexes of the person wearing it. So if I wore it I'd be as strong as you and if you were it, you could basically fist-fight a rancor. Also Ven, if I find out you use to fist-fight a rancor, I docking your pay." Noah informed her as he checked his own skeleton to make sure it was secure. An egghead came forward and motioned Ven towards the exoskeleton. "Corporal Sekairo, it is nice to see you, I've heard many things about you and have decided you would be the perfect person to put our plus-sized skeleton through its paces."

"Ocy is a great name." Well, for a suit of armor at least. There was no way she would name a person that!... Probably. Most likely. Right? Last time she had a kid he turned out-... she hadn't named him. Well, there goes that example. Let's get back to the story then: "Corek... I really want to fist fight a Rancor now. But I have to ask how exactly it works. And are there limits? Because it would take a lot to make me stronger. I mean, I'm not a God or anything, but the Vong did a pretty damn good job when they made me." That was true. For the most part. Ven smiled as the technician approached her (she wasn't going to call them an egghead!), but paused after they finished speaking. "Corporal? Did I get promoted when I wasn't looking again?" Last time she had checked she was still a Private. The most badass Private ever... but a Private nonetheless.

Noah laughed when Ven mentioned that Ocy was a great name. "Ven, I hope next time you have a kid, maybe with Ventasia this time and tell me if you need a donor, you don't name him/her Ocy. That kid will be teased for its entire life." Noah informed her as the eggheads began to suit her up in her exoskeleton. When Ven mentioned she really wanted to fist fight a Rancor, Noah sighed and shook his head. "Of course you do. Basically it's like stripped down power armor. You see what makes people so strong in power armor is because all the joints and main areas of the body consist of power components, basically the OCE-1 is a suit of power armor stripped down to just the powered joints and main areas, much more vunerable but also much lighter. There are limits, you can lift objects that it would take three of you to lift, the bigger the suit the more you can lift, but don't go trying to lift any tanks." Noah informed her and then chuckled when she mentioned her new rank. "Sorry forgot to mention that to you last time. I tried to get them to give you Sergeant, but they wouldn't."

Huh. Honestly the merc couldn't remember the last time she got promoted. Wasn't it before her death? Back when she held a hatred for Circe and finally got her life in order? Probably. That had been... at least six years ago. Wow. Before she could think any further on the subject she remembered that her companion was likely waiting for a response. So she pushed her surprise (and memories) away in order to reply. "A donor? Hmm? Thanks to science, that's not really necessary. Though it would be expensive... hmm. Well, now that I think about it, I imagine that you actually would be our first choice if we needed... 'assistance'. Your genes are good. Probably compatible with either of ours so-" She stopped when she realized one of the techies was eyeing her weirdly. Oops. "Also, Ocy is a great name for tech, not for a kid. Especially a Sekairo kid! Can you imagine an Ocy'Rain or Occi'Dar? That would be horrible..." That didn't seem to get the techs to relax any more. So she tried to focus more on what he was saying about the armor. "More vunerable, but lighter. Interesting... I can see why some of the other people might want one. But I'd want full on protection with some strength added. If I got my own one of these... think we could add in Phrik plating? Maybe just in the most important areas so the mobility isn't reduced as much?... That- I'm getting ahead of myself. What did you have in mind for testing?"

Noah sighed as Ven started talking and rubbed his face a bit as well. He saw a few of the techs looking at her strange. "Don't worry," Noah assured the techs, "She isn't like this all the time. Just most of the time." Noah laughed as he finished fitting the exoskeleton to his body. When Ven started talking about making a better armored version of the suit Noah laughed and began looking at the exoskeletons system readout pad on the right forearm. "Well its actually designed to fit over any armor, so you could wear it over your armor and I could wear it over my armor, therefore whoever wears it has all the qualities of wearing the exoskeleton and keep the protection of the armor they wear underneath the exoskeleton." Noah said as he finished looking at the readout, all things were green. Flexing his arms and his legs to get accustomed to the feeling and smiled up at Ven. "Ready to get to work?"
