Intent: A cybernetic/bio tech augmentation to The Machinist.
Development Thread: None. It's part of her back story.
Manufacturer: Tesz Corporation
Model: N/A
Affiliation: The Machinist
Modularity: Yes. Modules will be listed below.
Production: Unique
Material: Vardium Steel, Plastex, Poly-Alloy
Classification: Biosynthetic Cybernetic Arms

Special Features: Not resistant to special weapons, nor EMP blasts. It's usefulness is in it's modularity as seen below.
Description:
This bio and cybernetic technology is a two part process that The Machinist developed in order to augment her capabilities as a result of the loss of her left hand. Initially she developed a clamp replacement for her left hand, not willing to spend money to buy a cybernetic hand from someone else. Also, the added weight of the hand provided a certain hefty weapon against individuals that didn't take to her so kindly.
The real advancement came when she developed a chip that could be implanted in the brain, with wires running down the neural pathway along the spine. Originally this serviced the function of giving sensation back to those who had lost control of the lower half of their bodies. In itself it was a bit of a breakthrough, but she wasn't satisfied with it.
With the leads running down the spine, and the chip implanted in the brain, she crafted a set of arms that could be surgically attached to the body constructed from lightweight metal polymers. These arms had ends that could be swapped out for various modules, though she originally sought to make them simple hands and such to hold instruments to help her with her work. This was a practical application.
The arms, however, proved difficult to control. The viability of mass production was quickly determined as being a negative. However, given time, The Machinist did manage to master the arms, and developed attachments to help her with everything from work to every day life. They provide little in the form of protection, and because they are permanently grafted to her they require that she sleep much like a spider, which gives her an eery quality when someone sees her doing such. The arms are susceptible to EMP blasts and are limited in reach to approximately 2 meters. They are not impervious to lightsaber blades or other cutting mechanisms. Nor are they impervious to blaster fire. An EMP blast will essentially remove her from any fight.
Modules:
Typical Instrumentation: This can range from syringes attached to tubes in a lab to metal saws for cutting, and even welding arms. The majority of these are useless outside of labs, with the exception of the power saws.
Claws: Typically these are only worn for intimidation, though they do have the ability to be used as weapons. Not strong enough to cut through armor.
Blaster Attachments: She can be outfitted with a blaster attached to each arm.
Blade Attachments: The arms can be outfitted to be able to utilize blades (think Grievous).
Clamps: Like her left arm, and this is the usual attachment, the arms can be equipped with simple clamp hands. Normally, when she isn't working, this is their attachment.
Note: I wasn't sure which template to use as this technically falls under several fields. In the end I went with a hybrid because this isn't really a weapon, nor a droid, it's an extension of herself.
