Physical Description: Thalera is characterised by strangers, acquaintances and friends first for foremost by the sheer amount of red in her appearance. Thalera has a pair of red cybernetic eyes and sports red hair as a result of gene-therapy treatment for a rare hereditary disease. Thalera learnt to embrace this anomaly in her outward appearance when compared to other Eldorai women and when she came of age and trained as a Guardsman she inwardly augmented this presentation with a set of near full-body red tribal tattoos with the exception of her face, hands and feet. Typically Thalera ties her hair back into a ponytail or alternatively she allows it to freely flow when in Civilian attire, often accompanied by some tiny quaint bells as a result of her culture and upbringing which many Humans find strange and truly enough her wearing of them is becoming an increasingly rare occurrence as she steadily adjusts to Imperial Austerity. Thalera is found to be nothing less than beautiful by her Human peers with her face sporting sharp, defined and angular features complimented by prominent cheekbones, full lips, defined nose, almond-shaped eyes and thin arched brows. Thalera's physical strength is quite lacking on the other hand if not necessarily her endurance; Thalera stands at 1.83m or just a smidge over six-feet tall and is built like a waifer stick, narrow and fragile looking. She weighs at a guess no more than seventy kilogrammes or one-hundred and fifty-five pounds.
Gender: Female
Build: Waifish
Skin Colour: Pale
Eye Colour: Red
Hair Colour: Red
Uncommon or Specific Features?:
  • Eldorai Tribal Tattoos: Thalera has blood-red Eldorai tribal tattoos that cover her limbs and torso, they identify her as a warrior to other members of her species who understand the meaning behind the individual marks.
  • Sanquine Eyes: The colour of this Thalera's bright red spheres betray their inorganic or unnatural origin; they are both cybernetic prosthetics. What happened to Thalera's original eyes is a mystery that the Governor-General speaks no truth on.
  • Red Hair: Thalera's red hair is another identifying feature of the woman, for Eldorai this hair colour does not appear naturally and is normally either the result of hair dye use or gene therapy. For Thalera it was the latter and an unintended side-effect of a Gene-Cell therapy treatment combination for a rare hereditary disease triggered by Kaeshana's background radiation post-cataclysm that would have left her to die without treatment.

Character Personality: Thalera as an Eldorai has many traits that are typical for Imperials and so she has settled into a place within First Order Government rather easily; She's proud to the point of arrogance and is not above Parochial Snobbery looking down upon the barbarian, poor and uncultured with tactfully concealed contempt. Above all systems of government in the universe, she despises anarchy and as an extension selfishness the most. Which is where Thalera draws some of her more admirable qualities from. Thalera will put the safety of her subordinates and the cause above her own when threatened, this quality is the result of extensive training in the role of a qualified physician and service as an Officer Commanding of a prestigious Eldorai army regiment before the cataclysmic event that changed their race's future forever. It should come to no surprise that Thalera has a Choleric temperament as a result of her Army experience; She's short-tempered, makes quick decisive decisions and is easily irritated by incompetence and her own failures which are a constant source of anger and shame for the woman. Thalera's primary motivation in life is to see Kaeshana and its' people return to glory and rise stronger than before, pride and her oath forced her to stay on the desolate world and it was this same oath that she used to inwardly justify joining the First Order to herself and the masses who followed this example. Thalera publically views the Tygarans and Arkans as disloyal cowards who forsook so many of their own people to suffering and death which they were liberated from only when the First Order came to deliver salvation. From Thalera's point of view to be called Traitor by these people is like having a medal for heroism placed on your uniform, so she proudly wears the mantle of "Illyrian."

Character Habits/Quirks:
  • Traces left-ear between index fingers and thumb when deep in thought or thinking.
  • Performs no more or less than one-hundred and fifty pushups once every day to help maintain her upper body strength.
  • When her ship is moving through hyperspace or bored, Thalera sometimes quietly sing a lamentation about the Cataclysm to herself.
  • Recites the Royal Isianthar Infantry oath to herself before she goes to sleep in the evening.
  • Has an obsession with white chocolate and eats it every day often from the bridge of her Cruiser.

"On Kaeshana we shall abide unto the ending of time."
-Excerpt from the Royal Isianthar Infantry Oath
  • As a Surgeon and Physician, Thalera was always attentive and gentle with her patients if sometimes slightly clinical. She took a sense of pride in working within community clinics for Eldorai citizens who could not afford comprehensive health care and while giving treatment to these less fortunate individuals she couldn't help but notice the trend; If one's parents were poor and uneducated you would end up poor and uneducated if you did not push and finish your education. Thalera was especially egalitarian to offer the same encouragement to both boys and girls for many ultra-conservative elements in their society saw men as cattle. But looking upon young children brought to her clinic Thalera learned to understand that poverty, murderers and thieves weren't born they were made. Made by decisions they'd made, or something or somebody else forced them to make.It is this constant contact with young adults, children and the elderly that gave Thalera her compassion for others, even though she still held a contempt for the impoverished who refused to help themselves. It is from here on that Thalera would quietly support the rights of men by publishing books through the pen name of "Scion." and donate to struggling male authors. Thalera's reasoning for this is simple; Should she have a son, she would want him to enjoy all life had to offer as she had.
  • With contact with outside factions, powers and species increasing the qualified Physician and Surgeon decided to take a massive paycut and join the Eldorai Army as a Commissioned Officer. Thalera started her service as a mere Platoon Commander within the 26th Royal Isianthar Infantry Regiment, the same regiment in which her Mother had served. Thalera's Father was more than happy to see his daughter take up the colours of the esteemed Royal Isianthar Infantry Regiment. Thalera was characterised by her silent hostility and opposition to the Eldorai's Theocracy and their practice of abducting "Force-sensitive" children to train as soldiers, in-fact the policy disgusted Thalera so much that once or twice she considered resigning her commission in protest but was stopped every time she halted to spare a moment of thought to the young boys from her village who aspired to be soldiers. What Thalera did openly acknowledge amongst the Regiment is their men's natural physical strength and the usefulness this could have to the Army especially in combat roles. Thalera's attitudes would often see her engaging in friendly debate with many of her subordinates who steadily came to be persuaded, as did her superiors who saw to it that the young officer would be promoted at an accelerated speed out of grade time.
  • Thalera in short-order is promoted to the rank of Captain and made third in the chain of command for the whole Regiment behind its' commander and 2IC. The Regiment's Commander had recently changed and the position given to a former Priestess who was deeply suspicious of Thalera and her political views. The Colonel began to seek out excuses to have Thalera court-martialled and gave the officer extra menial duties which greatly irritated Thalera albeit not beyond the point of control. On a Operation the Major or second-in-command of their Regiment was wounded in action forcing Thalera to assume command of the Regiment on an Operation which saw the Eldorai fighting against Pirates, Thalera was forced to personally protect the dying Major and suffered some undisclosed injuries while doing so. Earning the Major's gratitude and respect. After this, Thalera disobeyed orders from the Colonel and decided to save a platoon of Eldorai pinned down by some Pirates with the support of a company. The action was success although it gave the Colonel what they were looking for; A reason to court-martial Captain Wintersong. Thalera not even recovered from her injuries was preparing to stand trial when the unexpected happened; All of Thalera's company staff and officers threatened to resign unless Colonel Kalendris was replaced. The Colonel found no political support from Major Elrendar and was subsequently transferred, the Army offered Major Elrendar a promotion, but passed it over knowing it would then fall to Thalera who accepts it at the insistence of her company NCOs.

"Get the men and children out! Get them out!"
-Thalera ordering her troops to evacuate civilians sometime post-Cataclysm
  • The great cataclysm strikes Kaeshana with an asteroid strike that decimates much of the planet and reduces the Eldorai Civilization to something resembling a post-apocalypse, society breaks down and Thalera is forced to watch something she didn't believe was possible; The Eldorai being the very barbarians they'd tried to keep away from their once beautiful planet. Thalera's regiment, fortunately, was in a port at the time having recently redeployed around the continent via submarine. Thalera elects to take her regiment to the nearest population centre and begin evacuating survivors. Thalera gave orders to pilfer vegetables, plants and livestock where possible. Planning ahead and takes a platoon of soldiers to secure a large underground bunker complex in the eastern mountains, where the soldiers joined by a number of citizens set up an underground community here in addition to the port the Regiment had previously occupied. Eventually too many survivors begin flooding in and Thalera is forced to make an agonizing decision; Turn people away for the common good. But to the Regiment Commander, there was nothing "Good" about it. When the faction that would become the "Tygarans" began evacuating citizens, Thalera and the Regiment elected to remain behind for they would forsake their oath to abide on Kaeshana until the ending of days. And so they were left behind, to become what would be known as "Illyrian".
  • Thalera and her two settlements experience constant raids from marauders who vie for resources, Thelera's anticipation for the planet's wretched condition in the early days of the Cataclysm and the stockpiling of agricultural goods had paid off. But at a price of thousands of lives steadily taken by the raiders. Thalera's soldiers would hunt down and kill these murderers but with the situation becoming more and more desperate on Kaeshana more desperate raiders were created everyday. It left Thalera to wonder how many raiders she'd created from the Eldorai she turned away who were seeking aid, how many lives of her innocent countrymen had she claimed? Thalera's only solace was in hoping these debased creatures killed mostly one-another than those just trying to get by. Without the assistance of droids, Thalera was regularly forced to provide medical aid and surgery to injured patients. At times it reminded her before the Cataclysm and brought fond memories of children to the front of her mind. The young, the old and the weak died first after the Cataclysm. Children in this new reality had become a rare sight indeed.

"Many of you have known me for years, this time is not as it was before. We must choose a side in this war, and I say we choose the side that didn't forsake us to die alone on Kaeshana." -Thalera explaining to the Illyrian Eldorai they'll be joining the First Order
  • Thalera at the time of the First Order's arrival on Kaeshana were very receptive to the off-worlders aid if a bit suspicious initially, several of Thalera's settlers sort aid from the First Order in the Southern Hemisphere of the planet fortunately far away from the fighting in and around Santaissa and the old citadels. Thalera's soldiers clad in their Eldorai armour fought the Raiders and Marauders in support of the First Order before enthusiastically offering their services in eradicating these loathsome criminals once and for all. The First Order officers were appreciative to have Thalera's support noting the Eldorai woman's mastery of Galactic Basic, for the First time in what felt like centuries the Royal Isianthar Infantry Regiment took the battle on a large-scale against the thieves, murderers and butchers who had plagued her communities. When the dust for the battle of Kaeshana settled Thalera and her troops were left with a choice; Leave Kaeshana or join the First Order and aid in reconstruction efforts. Even now they refused to abandon their oath as the Tygarans had abandoned them, and the Isianthar Regiment and its' commander joined the First Order, the latter as a Governor within the First Order's Government for her contributions to Kaeshana as a stabilising force post-cataclysm and leading a significant population of Illyrian to join the First Order. The 26th Royal Isianthar Infantry Regiment was dejure incorporated into the First Order's Army as an auxiliary unit while ultimately remaining bound to Thalera's will who changed her surname to Isianthar in honor of her soldier's significant sacrifices and loyalty. And so Thalera became a "Governor-General" From Kaeshana, aggressively aiding the provisional government in reconstruction efforts.

Character Affiliation:
  • First Order
  • First Order Government
Character Future: Thalera will be brooding and participating in the First Order's War with the Galactic Alliance from the bridge of the FIV Isianthar, an Interdictor-Class Cruiser so she'll probably be active in a few fleeting threads and possibly even government-centric threads possibly related or entirely unrelated to the war itself. You never know where the future might take you and Thalera is a character with many possibilities.
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Weaknesses:
  • Foreign Atmospheres: Thalera experiences a common Eldorai trait in that she struggles to breathe in any kind of type I atmospheres because of the significant contamination and unique composition of her homeworld's atmosphere of Kaeshana, which features lower than average levels of oxygen and while this provided Thalera with significantly increased cardiovascular power. It also means that she experiences symptoms of pulmonary and ocular toxicity as a result of Hyperoxia when breathing in a Human coruscant-like atmosphere. When experiencing oxygen-induced hyperoxia Thalera becomes disorientated, struggles to breathe and receives acute myopia or "Short-sightedness." These symptoms can and will get progressively worse until Thalera can get access to a breathing apparatus, modify her local atmosphere or eventually experiences cardiac arrest followed by fatality. In time Thalera might become accustomed to the foreign climates of First Order worlds but as of now, it remains a prominent weakness.
  • Choleric Personality: Short-tempered, irritable and decisive are traits that define Thalera in her presentation and day-to-day life and while these are valuable traits in a Military woman. These predispose her to make resolutions from a place of anger or irritation and could prove to be less than beneficial for her or the people she cares about protecting. Which fuels only more irritation and frustration and so on a vicious cycle she can go, one poor decision leading to the next, and the next and the next until Thalera has buried herself neck-deep in the ground beneath the weight of soil and poor decisions. These personality traits often also make it difficult for her Officer peers especially foreigners to establish a friendly working relationship with her, due to her inherent Xenophobia as an Eldorai and the constant irritability she exudes with her posture and tone. For Thalera's superiors, it gives the appearance of volatility and might make them more inclined to treat the woman's capabilities and capacity for level-headedness in an operational environment with suspicion.
  • Misandrist Tendencies: Thalera's attitudes towards men have always been warmer than her contemporaries, despite this she still sometimes doubts men and their capabilities. This manifests outwardly as a condescending irritation whenever she is interrupted by her male subordinates when addressing a superior Thalera can come off as seditious with a noted argumentative streak when discussing her orders, talking up to a position of authority. Although this is easy to excuse as simply a remnant of her time with the Eldorai Army where Thalera was a regiment commander, the equivalent to a Captain in most navies and answered unto only herself in the day-to-day operation of her regiment.
Strengths:
  • Trained Physician: Thalera is a Doctor, trained in general practice and with post-graduate training in Surgery. Thalera can diagnose and treat a variety of health issues when prescribed medical droids or other personnel with that role are not available, Thalera's training in this profession is the source of her compassion. Thalera is quite a proficient researcher and surgeon in her own right and likes to keep first-aid supplies and surgery tools on her person or nearby. Mainly this is just in case a new patient presents themselves and as with her Parochial Snobbery, Thalera doesn't trust anybody to do a better job than she could.
  • Eldorai Tactician: Formerly known as "Colonel Wintersong." of the Royal Isianthar Infantry Regiment, in addition to being a trained and qualified surgeon Thalera was additionally an officer leading this esteemed infantry regiment with a proud history of serving the Eldorai Queens. As an officer, Thalera was a competent combatant and an excellent tactician albeit a poor strategist which is why she never climbed higher than the rank of Colonel not that she wanted to for in those days Thalera could count herself as contented and happy. In a tactical environment, Thalera is a dangerous commander who shouldn't be underestimated even by the experienced Admiral or talented Commander.
  • Inspiring Orator: Thalera is an excellent public speaker and speechwriter able to sway and persuade the apathetic and belligerent alike, it's an invaluable characteristic to have when in a tight spot where fighting would either be futile or too frightening even for the Veteran Officer. Any troops or civilians who fall under her jurisdiction often do not mind listening to the Eldorai woman speak for they feel it is more of a conversation than self-aggrandisement or a lecture on the efficacy of competent government policy. Ironically while Thalera looks down upon the wretched and poor of the universe she's happy to help and more often than not finds her support amongst the working classes of Kaeshana and First Imperial society. Popular for her reported decision to stay behind on Kaeshana to try and enforce some semblance of social order with her Infantry Regiment after the cataclysm on her homeworld.
