APPEARANCE:
Thales is of upper-average height for a male human. His warm ivory skin is complimented by thick black hair which drops just past shoulder length. He is well-built from regular fitness routines in addition to an active lifestyle. Despite his prior experiences in prestigious scientific circles, Thales seldom wears more than a simple hakama with red sleeves, a black skirt, and a yellow sash tied at the waist. When out on operations, Thales will often wear light armor over this hakama in addition to a utility belt containing various pouches and vials.
PERSONALITY:
Thales has what we would call an INTP-T personality type. While he has a very intrinsic work ethic, he can also be very neurotic in his approach to accomplishing tasks and objectives. This neurotic aptitude is exhibited through his obsessive and opinionated views and knowledge regarding areas of intense interest, such as his training with the sword, his skills as a pilot, and his practice as an alchemist. He carries a turbulent nature from a difficult past, and while he is a social creature at heart, he often experiences bouts of anxiety when forced out of his shell of introversion.
Despite his conflicted personality, Thales shouldn't be mistaken as a brash or cruel human. On the contrary, he has a great deal of emotional intelligence and empathetic feelings towards those who have endured similar plights as himself. However, his general view of sentient beings is one of critical pessimism, and his emotional intelligence is only extended to those with whom he cultivates relationships of mutual understanding and trust. Thales' pessimism is generally extended toward those who remain fixated in ideological views entrenched in bygone eras. He feelings are especially pessimistic toward the established orders of the Republic and Jedi, whom he views as wanting to keep the galaxy in perpetual stagnation.
ATTRIBUTES:
Thales is an agile individual. He is quick on his feet and has a high dexterity and stamina level. He also has high intelligence in cybernetics and the biological sciences. He has a well-balanced physique overall. Despite his agility, Thales suffers from several flaws which include severe anxiety and insomnia. He suffers attacks when he faces situations of extreme pressure, which have often led to his neurotic aptitude to get the best of his emotional state. Thales also isn't as skilled with the blaster as he is with the sword, giving him a disadvantage in ranged battle over melee combat. While Thales is skilled as a pilot, he is not trained as a captain and runs best as a one-man crew. Thales can engage most pilots in a dogfight and come out on-top, but has little experience in squadron-based tactics or engaging anything larger than mid-sized freighters. Thales is sociable and likeable, but tends to retain a mysterious persona, mostly due to his own introverted personality. For those with whom Thales is familiar, however, loyalty and devotion are easily given.

BIOGRAPHY:
Thales was born to a family of privilege, stationed on the Outer-Rim world of Eriadu, where his father oversaw important mining operations. In his youth, Thales excelled in his education as a swordsman, pilot, and in the sciences, and was sent off to Coruscant for further studies in the biological sciences, with the hopes that he would become a medical professional. However, while studying, Thales became fascinated in the arcane arts of alchemical processes, often skipping classes to venture into the undercities to learn from rogue vagrants.
After graduating from his program, Thales landed a professorship of his own at the University of Corellia, but he continued to meddle, in secrecy, with the alchemical arts severely frowned upon by his peers. Eventually, the university's board became aware of his activities and kicked him out of the program. When his parents discovered what happened, they disowned him, forbidding him from ever returning home. Now exiled, Thales became a drifter, living among the underbelly of Corellia where he continued his rudimentary practice of alchemy, formulating basic drugs to trade for credit. Before long, Thales was able to purchase his own ship, setting out to expand his market and test his skills among the larger galactic scene.
