Hm7G7H9.jpg

Name: Thalmaris Stitchbind
Species: Raggidoll
Gender: Male
Age: 102 (mentally would be mid-teens)
Force Sensitive: Yes
Alignment: Light
Rank: Jedi Padawan

Appearance:

Thalmaris stands at 5'0, the average height of his species. His original layer of "skin" consisted of a light greenish-cyan material. Despite his youth, he has been through a few of his people's Patchwork Ceremonies. This resulted in his jaw consisting of pale bronco, the light sea-green around his right eye, and the left of his neck being gold-brown. Holding his "skin" together is purple stitching, carefully and meticulously woven. The mouth on his person is a later addition he added to himself upon joining to Jedi order, held in a perpetual smile. Matching his stitching, he has two gemstone eyes, held on with black stitching. He has short, white hair made of soft finely-woven, cotton. He wears traditional padawan robes, but also wears boots and gloves that are made from soft, flexible materials, allowing for agility while maintaining a minimalistic design. They are practical but well-crafted, having some wooden carvings patterned onto them.

Weapons:

He carries an orange, crossguard lightsaber with a V-shaped guard. The hilt has wooden carvings imbedded into it, and some vines wrapped around it.

Personality:

  • Curious and Eager: Thalmaris is enthusiastic about learning, constantly asking questions about the Force and how to better serve the galaxy. His natural curiosity drives him to explore different aspects of the Jedi teachings, often pushing him to experiment with new skills and techniques, though sometimes he can be a bit reckless in his eagerness.
  • Empathetic and Compassionate: He possesses a strong sense of empathy, influenced by his Raggidoll nature, which values connection and community. Thalmaris is always willing to lend a listening ear to his fellow Padawans and is often seen comforting others in times of need.
  • Playful and Creative: Thalmaris enjoys crafting and creating, much like his parents did when they made him, and his species as a whole. This playful nature manifests in his training, where he sometimes incorporates imaginative solutions to challenges. He often uses metaphors from Raggidoll culture to explain complex concepts to his peers.

  • Fear of Combat: While Thalmaris is training in lightsaber combat, he harbours a fear of actual combat situations. The thought of facing a Sith or another skilled opponent terrifies him, as he worries about his ability to protect himself and others. The risk of injury, even given his ability to repair his body, heightens this fear. He dreads the possibility of being torn apart or damaged during a fight, because he worries that putting himself back together makes him a different person. He sees repairing himself as different to altering himself. The latter is to remember key events and accomplishments to remember one's self, the latter indicates you lost a part of one's self.
  • Struggling with Self-Identity: Thalmaris grapples with his identity as both a Raggidoll and a Jedi. While he is proud of his heritage, he sometimes feels torn between the traditional expectations of his culture and the rigorous training of the Jedi Order. This internal conflict can lead to moments of doubt, making him question whether he truly belongs in either community.
  • Fear of Losing His Identity: The previous two aspects come together to the point where Thalmaris fears losing touch with his Raggidoll heritage and traditions and inherent identity. He is concerned that the rigorous demands of the Jedi Order might overshadow his unique cultural identity and beliefs and conflicts brought by the jedi conflict with Raggidoll beliefs and can result in him being injured, losing a part of himself.
FORCE ABILITIES:

Force Empathy - B
Force Stasis - B
Mind Trick - A
Telekinesis - B
Force Heal - C
Force Sense - A

Lightsaber Form:

He is currently training to be proficient in Form III, Soresu.

Strengths:

  • Creativity and problem solving: His craftsmanship and species natural skills provide him a sense of creativity when it comes to both solutions and plans.
  • Persuasive: He is very skilled at talking down situations and mediating conflicts. He acts well as a negotiator and prefers solutions that can be resolved peacefully, rather than violently.
  • Resilient: Contrary to what one would assume, he can withstand a surprisingly large amount of blunt trauma. He can survive, and usually shrug off, large falls, or other situations where blunt force would be dangerous.

Strengths:

  • Lack of Strength: While Thalmaris is agile, he lacks physical strength compared to some of his peers. This limitation can affect his ability to perform certain physical tasks or combat manoeuvres that require brute force.
  • Inexperience in Combat: As a Padawan, Thalmaris is still developing his combat skills. His lack of experience can lead to mistakes in battle or difficulty adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Fear of fire: His people have a natural unease, or straight up fear, of fire. This keeps him from fighting confidently with his lightsaber and/or against those with their own. It can also quite easily tear his body apart and destroy it, also taking part of his identity.

HISTORY:

Thalmaris was hand-crafted by his parents on Threnan, like all Raggidoll children, with great care and love. He began to age within his community, yet to reach maturity, and still being young and inexperienced by his species' standards. But, he was found with a highly unusual connection to the force, and was later discovered by the Jedi, being later trained in the Jedi Temple.

It was a large change which he had to adjust to. He spends most of his time in the library of the temple, or in gardens or other places of nature. He prefers those locations as opposed to the training rooms. His people's natural unease/fear of heat and fire doesn't make for the best relationship with a lightsaber. He has yet to have a master.
