Thanks for reading :)

Hello! My name is Malcom, but Mal, M, or any other iteration you may think of works for me. I’m 26 and I work at a steakhouse. I’m heavily developing an interest for agriculture, and intend to garden through the warm months coming up.

I am coming to you as a first time Star Wars RP forum inhabitant, though I’ve years of familiarity with forums overall.

My character creation is in a bit of a flux due to wanting to get the appropriate age for my character and ensure that the lore is accurate.

The character I’ve developed off and on for Star Wars is named Lúa’Katal Vōd. Half Kiffar, half Sephi. Child of a Kiffar healer, Force-wizened and a natural with Psychometry.

In the first iteration, so far he has been a Jedi but I see that the timeline and lore is a bit different being that it is in the 9th Century and the conventional jedi order is no more(?).

I’ve read the timelines, and I was curious on how fast time moves on the server? Because if time progresses , I’d think to start younger, or older depending on the needs of the story.

Also in the works is a custom bit of lore regarding a planet housing a mega-forest and living ships, which I hope to submit for future use.

This is me putting my ideas out without oversharing, so if you have any insights regarding Jedi, some fun, factional, or personal current events, or anything of the sort I’d love to receive them.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Welcome to Chaos!

There are a ton of Jedi factions, both Minor and Major, that I'm sure can catch your interest so have no fear!

Time is a bit wobbly here on Chaos, it does advance but it's usually not too much. I was told once that roughly three months irl equates to one year IC but ultimately you can ignore the exact year a fair bit lol, so don't worry about it too too much when it comes to character aging!

So I’m writing a short story about Lúa’Katal bonding with an organic vessel. The idea was inspired by concepts used in No Mans Sky, Moya from Farscape, and to a lesser and perhaps merely an organizational level, the “Liset” landing craft one can see in Warframe. I’ll block the word vom in case folks don’t want to read but still wish to talk here or plan with me as I acquaint myself.

I’m the type to push my ideas out and see what feedback is obtained, whether it fits the Star Wars world and if it is appropriate to continue to develop these ideas among and within this community.

Produced on a planet in a mega-forest, as mentioned, they grow from these ghastly or ethereal jellyfish/cuttlefish/ “Seed” shaped sort of creatures with a strong presence in the force and as they mature and consume (just about anything, but living organisms, raw elements and cosmic gases are especially beneficial), they develop a very much physical form composed largely of botanical materials, biomatter, and various metals and minerals go into the amalgams of life that are the Children of the Forest to the natives of the planet.

What the natives have found and what Lúa’Katal experiences is that of a Bonding to one of these creatures. When mature enough, these creatures can serve as organic vessels (hopefully) capable of surviving in space and hyperspace travel. Largely amorphous and adaptive, the Seeds work with the Bondmate, who becomes the pilot of sorts when a connection is formed, to manifest the necessary physical adjustments of the interior and exterior of the Living Ship. Many Seeds grow to suit the environment most prevalent, but compliance to the Bondmate’s ideal image can be done with significant resources to work with.

Overall, the idea is a blend of the three dominant types of life we see to manifest a seed of life that’s actually alive. You’ll see notes of animal, plant, and fungus, with

And if this idea isn’t friendly to here then I’ll keep it to myself. But the Vong technology and aesthetic is not a compatible concept for many reasons surrounding my intent to make a Just and Enduring defender of the natural balance of the Force paired with an organic ship, which is why I’ve hashed my own idea. The concept will be open to others if they choose to come to the planet and put themselves to the test and develop, the short story will come with a synopsis/tech submission to keep you all from having to read the whole story just to use/see the tech.

Lúa’Katal is a survivor of a stranding on Dathomir(let me know if that needs to change)where a Rancor kills his Master and he has to survive on the Dark-suffused planet alone.

In the first writing of him, he is sent to Ach-To following an isolated decontamination period to ensure he wasn’t corrupted or compromised and a brief reintegration attempt to the rest of the temple he had grown up along. It is there he receives a second master and eventually finishes out his Padawan-hood, going from Sentinel styled work and blade applications to Consular work and force applications. Environmentally focused, his understanding of the physical is why he pairs so well with the living ship.

Well that’s most of my thought as of now, I could go on and on, but I will not unless inquiries are made looking forward to hearing from everyone!
