BIOGRAPHY:
For some, the Force wills their destiny towards greatness. Yet to others, it seems quiet and cruel. For the Kalzerian that became known as Thaurond, it was a fate of darkness. His story began out of an ill-fated landing. His parents were a part of a Kalzerian pirate crew who, in their vast folly, attempted to evade capture by jumping into the Unknown Regions. As a result of their great error, the pirates found their ship ripped asunder by the Galactic Barrier and vomitted out, hurtling toward the desolate world of Exegol. On that ancient, dark world, the surviving Kalzerians were stranded.
A son was born to a pair of survivors, conceived from a night of comfort in endless survival. For a time, a child brought a light to the grimness of the survivors' lives. Yet, he soon grew, and would have to deal with the harsh realities of Exegol. Food was scarce on the planet, having to survive off of meager rat-grubs or rations from abandoned battleships from when the archaic Sith armada had presence. In the worst of times, the survivors even resorted to the taboos of cannibalism.
For 15 years, this was the boy's life. That was, until his tribe found its way close to the ruins of the Sith. His long dormant Force-sensitivity became touched. Whispers in the shadows and visions of the past tempted him. He could feel the dark side around him, and embraced it. Following the voices, he eventually found a barely functioning transport with coordinates off the wretched world.
It took three years, but the few remaining left Exegol, but the boy had been touched by the dark side. Under the impressions of the visions, he sought out manuscripts. For years, he plundered collections of Sith knowledge, becoming a marauder in his own right. His path found him, eventually, with the cultists of the Maw, and under the banner of a man named Maweth. It was here where he was taught by the other, dark forcefuls in their midst. Dark sorceries, alchemy, and the construction of his lightsaber. Among the Maw, he chose the name Thaurond.
For years, he served at Maweth's side as one of his lieutenants. Yet, fate was cruel once more. His lord had met his fate, riding in fire as he helped raise the Chiss throneworld into ash. In the aftermath, Maweth's former soldiers were divided. Some regrouped under other warlords. Among these faithful, some joined up in a new warband under the command of Thaurond.
TRAITS:
[+] Dark Survivor: Thaurond spent a large portion of his life in the harsh wastes of Exegol, instilling him with a nigh-indomitable will to survive and fight. He shows absolute ferocity and malice in any duel, both in mind and body.
[+] Sorcerer: Upon joining the Brotherhood, Thaurond saw himself under the tutelage of the various dark clerics in their numbers. From them, he learned the arcane arts, becoming a formidable wielder of dark side magics. While not as powerful as some master sorcerers from other dark side disciplines, he is yet a strong practitioner of these teachings.
[-] Cannibal: Having been born in harsh conditions where his people often resorted to eating their weak and frail, Thaurond does not consider the act as taboo as most. In fact, he employs it as a serious threat to any subordinates who fail him majorly. He is also not above devouring the spoils of battle.
[-] Attuned to Shadow: Because he has devoted so much of himself to the dark side, Thaurond exhibits many of the classic symptoms of dark side usage. He has shown signs of physical degradation, and has occasionally used dark powers such as force drain to sustain his physical form. He also feels physical pain in the presence of intense light side powers, such as force light.
