- Structure Name: Thawne Villa
- Classification: Villa
- Location: Rishi
- Affiliation: Slevin & Natalia Thawne
- Accessibility:
Though not entirely inaccessible, it is highly inadvisable to attempt to reach the Villa while on foot even speeder. Located in the central inlands of a large island on the southern half of the planet, the Villa is surrounded by thick forest, sharp cliffs, and a collection of deadly beasts that roam the wildlands at all times.
On top of this the Villa is patrolled by various elements of the Coratanni Cartel, not to mention the fact that hidden defenses dot the landscape. All in all, though a major military force could likely topple the Villa, a lone intruder would find it difficult to make it to the home.
- Security:
Closer to the Villa itself one finds harsher defenses still including several Shield Generators, Light Turbo-Laser Towers, and squads of Coratanni Executioners. These defenses are all tucked away beneath rock outcroppings and thick camoflauge, hidden from view and sensors until they are most needed.
The Thawne Villa is well protected, designed to stave off an assault long enough for Natalia and Slevin to escape, or to capture those less simple minded.
It should also be noted that the defenses of the Villa do not just point outward but also focus on keeping things in. Various death fences and automated turrets track objects moving off the island as well as into it, securing the facility in every which way.
- Description:
The building itself, or rather buildings, consist of a single large tower, processing facility, hangar platform, and then a massive sprawling underground plantation. All of these elements are well hidden within the jungles of the island, and in the only portion of the Villa that is visible from space or air is the main tower itself.
To most, and indeed to the records anyone would keep, the Island is simply a private get away for Natalia and Slevin Thawne. The buildings are all well put together and hidden in such a way that they escape notice. Upon close inspection of course everything is not as it seems, though those who come to the island rarely have a chance to tell this to anyone. Travel to the island is restricted, and has been since it's inception.
Of course in order to aid this, travel to and from the island is rare.
Most things that come in and off of the island are actually brought there via submersible craft traveling beneath the oceans of Rishi.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Main Tower - The main tower of Thawne Villa is the 'residential' portion of the structure. This building in simplest terms is an overly luxurious home for Slevin, Natalia, and all of their children. The tower is massive enough to hold several dozen residents at one time, all in lavish rooms that would make even the richest of men jealous. There is no shortage of luxury within the Main tower, and this is well reflected.
Most every room within the Tower is designed to speak of who the Thawne's are, each of the Thawne children have designed and created their own abode, a reflection of who they are and what they do.
There are also several training rooms, armories, and laboratories dotting the tower itself.
Of course, the very tip of the tower holds Natalia and Slevin's penthouse room. This chamber consists of a massive living space decorated as lavishly as one might think possible. Furs of rare animals, cups of aurodium, and pure Corusca gems simple sit in the corners. Everything is a reflection of the image that Natalia and Slevin project to the galaxy, though at the very top of the penthouse sits a single windowless room of duracrete that is seen by no one but its residents.
Hangar Platform - An oddity for most, the Hangar platform is split into two sections.
Unlike what one might expect, the main 'hangar' of the Villa isn't actually designed for starcraft. Instead the Platform was created deep beneath the island as a way of docking, refitting, repairing, and loading submersible craft. It is through these vessels that things are brought to and from the island, a way of restocking and resupplying as well as smuggling contraband to other Coratanni Facilities on Rishi.
The other portion of the Platform is a small space for Starcraft, though only mid-sized freighters and starfighters fit here.
Plantation - Though not the only one on Rishi that Coratanni operates, the plantation beneath the Thawne Villa is one of the larger they own.
Since one of the chief products of both SIN and Coratanni are the various legal and illegal spices that one can find in the galaxy, plantations are a must. The operation beneath the Villa consists mainly of various kinds of spice as well as experimental fungi that Coratanni produces. Most of the plantation is operated through the care of droids and automated care-takers, though there are a few prisoners who are kept there as well.
The Plantation is one of the more advanced that Coratanni operates, working entirely underground and set up as an almost hidden away jungle in it of itself. Walking through the plantation gives one the same sense as walking through a warm jungle in the daylight.
Processing Facility - Located beneath the main tower, the processing facility of the Thawne Villa is a key component to the production of various pharmaceutical compounds Sin creates.
Though it is not the only such facility that SIN operates, it is the largest of its kind on Rishi itself. Mainly producing legal forms of spice and mind altering drugs, the Processing Facility also doubles as a place for Research and Development, and is thus often carefully watched over by both Natalia and Slevin.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Thawne Villa on Rishi has only just been constructed.
Though originally based on Rishi itself, The Coratanni Cartel has until recently operated out of a night club located directly in the center of Raider's Cove. Though this club is still in operation and one of the Cartel's primary locations, both Natalia and Slevin felt that it was time to move on.
With the adoption of more of their children and the expansion of the Cartel itself, as well as Sin, the two Crime Lord's felt that it was time to move up.
Their solution was the construction of Thawne Villa.
The building, as envisioned by the two Crime Lord's, would be able to house themselves, their children, and have more than enough room for their other activities. This was quickly seen to and work was begun rather quickly. SIN's new construction arm was called in and within a short few months Thawne Villa was created.
Operations there were quickly set into work, and before long the Plantation as well as the Processing Facility was set up. Things began to flow and quietly set themselves into place.
Thawne Villa has since become a home base and one of the few places that the Thawne's ever gather. More often than not one can find several of the children there, even when Natalia and Slevin themselves aren't home.
