The newly crowned imperator had called Laman to his newly inherited office, and Laman was obliged to come. Walking into the building and up the stairs, Laman heard some horrible screams from below the floorboards, Laman knew of some torture happening in the buildings basement, but that was none of his business.
Laman made his way up to the somewhat bleak office, it was newly inherited from the former grand marshall, so all of the old marshall's former personal posesions had to be removed and sent off to his family, but it would probably do for the new imperator.
Laman walked into the office.
"You requested my presence imperator." Laman said.
