With the start of a new phase in their lives, the same could not be said for the galaxy. In fact, war was only increasing as the threat of the Sith remained and growing stronger by the day. To keep up their skills, Thurion and Coci find each other to practice the art of the saber to prepare once again. However, this meeting is not only for this, but to enhance their abilities to work together as one, to be able to strengthen the conduit of energy and power that when together is near unbreakable. Their force bond has seen to this, in many ways it is growing even more powerful regardless of distance.

She has arrived firstly, and stands in the field of grass watching the swaying motion around her, her hair flying around her head which she pulls into a pony tail to stop any of it distracting her when the duel begins. She stands in armour, standard armour of the SSC and saber in hand. Coci had completed her warm ups, but there is a good amount of energy wanting to be released and that would soon enough when he comes. Could they do it? could they complete a duel? She smiled at the thought of attempts of the past.

Her saber ignites, her arms raise and she begins to go through her exercises. Drawing her feet to shoulder width, loosening her back bone, her arms begin to move in a slow motion to perfect the movements of Ataru, a form she is very proficient in. But a duel or in battle of war, form is irrelevant.

Coci senses him drawing near ... she smiles, for today .. one of them will yield to the other.

Eyes shut he wandered the field of tall grass, fingers brushing against the strands while smiling at the serenity he experienced. He circled around his wife, her closeness further adding to the soothing of his senses. The Force was strong on Voss, and never was it made as clear as today when husband would face wife in friendly sparring to finally see who is the better fighter. He may have physical strength and endurance on his side, but she was quick and agile. Both would have to rely on their strengths and exploit the other's weaknesses.

A commonplace suit of armour worn beneath his Grandmaster's robes and his trusty lightsaber was all he'd brought. There would be no injuries, for to ever harm his beloved would cause him the greater pain. Instead a basket containing food sat upon a rock, slightly elevated above the tall grass, along with a picnic blanket. Their speeder stood parked close by. "You know, I'm sure there are quite a lot of bets on whoever wins," he told her with a smirk as finally he stopped and faced her, the woman of his life and dreams. "You ready?"

His sapphire blade stirred from its slumber, snapping awake at a moment's notice for whenever he needed it to. It soared through the air as he let loose a flurry of strikes, cutting through the air in rapid motion. "You look ready."

A smile crept across her face as she turned to see her beloved before her. "Are you sure that is what they might be betting on?", she grinned wider. Coci had her own bet going on in her own mind and yes she wondered just who would be the one to 'crack'.

As Thurion circled around her, she continued to go through her form exercises pretending to pay him no attention but all the while her sense had attached to him, carefully attuned to his every move, his every heart beat, his every breath. One swift move from him and she would be alerted immediately. Coci is in the mood for a 'fight'.

If he was watching carefully, he would notice her foot work moving her in a circle effectively following him, never would her back face him unless on purpose but for now the man is foxing, she would have to out fox the fox.

"What shall be the rules of engagement?", she asked knowing that injury to one another was never an option, she would rather die that do anything to hurt her Thurion. "Shall we add something new into the mix? shall we include force powers". This sparring is for the need to prepare for war, to keep sharp and force powers need to be blocked as well. They could go full blown with them or select the skills outside the battle of the sabers.

"I am ready, gentlemen first", she said in an off hand way, he would see right through her of course but that was all part of the plan. Yes there is a plan..

He ran a hand through his hair to combat the dishevelling of the strong winds. "I'm thinking lightsabers and... Ah, screw it - full arsenal," he replied with a smirk while watching her finish her warm-ups. The grace and serenity with which she moved was mesmerizing, and reminded him of when he was a boy sneaking peeks at Master Asha practising back on Tython or Coruscant. It also made him think of little Nina whenever she'd eagerly show him what she had learned during training, the level of fine movements beyond his ability. He did not possess the grace of all these three individuals, instead opting for sheer strength and overpowering his opponents. He supposed, in a way, he was jealous.

"You are so beautiful," he marvelled at her and lowered his guard for a moment. He couldn't stay away for long and approached his wife, wrapping his free arm around her to pull her in for a kiss, lightsaber still activated. "I love you," he whispered as the kiss ended, much too soon to his liking. "Now let us begin." Thurion backed away a few steps so as to leave a safe distance between the two. Both hands now gripping the hilt, his mother's cloth still adorning it after all this time. "So who goes first? I go first, you go first...?" he feigned ignorance.

"Full arsenal", she smiled knowing exactly what both of them are capable of regarding their skills with the force. Coci could not help but laugh at this, this was going to be a very interesting duel indeed, now she was very pleased for the location she had chosen, nothing to hard to hit save for the ground and maybe the grass would soften any blows. She stiffened her back as Thurion walked toward her and took her into an embrace. Her ignited saber lowered as their lips met, her mind taken away from her as she returned the embrace of passion and her saber burned the tips of the grass. "I love you more", she said looking into his blue eyes as the kiss parted. ".. and you are being so unfair", she teased as he moved away.

"I know what you are doing, mister", she added as she turned to take stance once more. A smile crept over her face, "Lets start together", and with that she lunged toward him for the first strike with her saber, which came in low to the leg on the right. They are too attuned to each other for him not to block her regardless of her quick 'attack' so immediately after the block Coci twisted her body and pivoted on her right legs to create distance for the counter strike. The Force was rippling through her body, ready there to be summon in half a heart beat.

"Innocent as charged," Thurion offered her a wink just before Coci made her move, both of them lunged at one another. Her strike went for his leg, which he easily parried before countering. Coci's movements were indeed graceful and agile compared Thurion's brute force and relative sluggish fighting-style. He wasn't one for fancy flips and kicks. Thurion stepped forward to close in on her, and his eyes refused to leave her gaze while a confident smile remained on his lips.

They crossed sabers, and pushing forward he leaned in to surprise his beloved with a kiss upon her lips. It only lasted for a couple seconds, and when it was over he remained close to her, their lightsabers still locked together. "I love the way you move," he told her while their hair got caught in the wind, adding to the beauty standing before him.

There would be no point to employ illusions, he would spot that move immediately as there would be no denying their force bond. But she had other 'weapons' to use although she was hesitant to use them on him, but they had agreed to full powers. She parried his counter attack well enough, the force hold strength in her arms to match his strength on the strikes and blocks and since her force energy within them she removed a hand from her blade and rested it against his chest directly after the kiss. A mild force push would send Thurion back a few feet, he would stumble with the impact but if she had let fly her full strength he would have been sent flying across the field of grass, and she did not want to do that.

But while he was off balance, she moved forward following him and swung her blade to shoulder high on his right. She sensed the force in him, she always does and he would soon gather once more and she would be ready. Coci loves him so greatly, not a day goes by that she does not tell him this, he is incredibly special to her and to consider life without him is simply unbearable. "Beyond life", she said with a serious tone. "I am not sure I can do this", she said dropping her blade to her side, "I know it is important for us to prepare but .. somehow this just seems wrong".

Coci walked to her husband and stood in front of him looking into his face and those blue eyes she loves so much. She smiled before turning her head to gaze across the sea of waving green grass that surrounded them. "It reminds me of the green lake on Tabaqui on a windy day when the waves kick up across the surface of the waters, they rise and swell like this. Gosh, how time as passed. And I can't remember the last time we were all home". She turned away from the beauty of the grass, her hand raised up to pull back the hair flowing across her face and looked up to him once more.

The Force push shoved him backwards several feet, sliding him across the field of grass without his feet ever leaving the ground. He specialised in being immovable in battle, to never lose his footing in a duel. It had proven crucial when fighting Kaine on Ziost as he was all about relentless assault, forcing Thurion to face him head-on and become an impregnable fortress. It made his every movement deliberate and well-calculated, and lent itself further to his great strength. When Coci's swing came for his shoulder, he ducked beneath it and was about to retaliate, but he was surprised to see his wife lower her guard and deactivate her Jedi weapon. "Coci? What's the matter?" he asked in soft tone, as if they hadn't fought each other but a moment ago.

Dropping his guard completely by deactivating his lightsaber when she approached him, he was smitten by the look in her eyes. He'd felt it too, throughout their duel, that fighting his only love in any way was wrong and left him unable to focus properly. She was no threat to him, and she never would be. How could he possibly pretend she was, even if it was just pretend? No, instead Thurion took a step forward to wrap his arms around her, resting her head against his chest and pressing his lips to her forehead. "I am sorry, sweetie," he whispered. "I should never have put us up to this. I couldn't possibly fight someone knowing it's you."

Scooping his wife off the ground and into his arms, and made for the rock upon which the picnic basket sat. Thurion lowered Coci onto the rock, then got on his knees before her, taking her by the hand. "One day we will all be together again, my love. I promise. We will sit on our porch surrounded by our children, just like how we used to." He leaned forward to kiss her hand resting in his, then looked up at her beautiful face with a loving smile.

"You have nothing to be sorry about, nor do I", she said looking down into his wonderful face. "It is a life we have both chosen to fulfill and we are blessed with children", she smiled at the thought of them all. "Yes life can be hard at time, this constant warring is taking a toll not only on us but everyone, Jedi and citizens of the galaxy alike and we swore to fight it". She took in a deep breath to try and rid the fatigue of it all. "But standing by you, through all of it, is the only place for me and together we will get tired and weary and old and one day we will retire and look upon the faces of grand children. Now wouldn't that be something", she smiled wide.

To lighten the mood Coci got off the rock and knelt down in front of him, for all the world and to any one looking on this scene, would think him proposing. So she did, "Will you marry me, Thurion Heavenshield". She raised his hand to her lips and kissed the wedding ring already in place, before a giggle escaped her lips. However, a strong sense of her love for him overwhelmed her and she leaned in to kiss his lips, soft and pure with her love. And as she pulled back from the kiss, her hand tried in vain to push back the longish golden hair from his face assaulted by the wind.

Coci turned on the spot and got down the basket from the rock, "I bet I can guess what is in here", she teased him, knowing it would be his favourite meat.

"Grandchildren..." Thurion smiled at the thought. "I wonder who will see to that first," he pondered aloud, a thought he'd never really entertained until now. Whether it be Nina or Théo, there would be no pressure put on either of them; starting a family isn't something you should do at the spur of a moment, and who knows what chain of events will lead them to find love in their lives? No, as long as they were happy he would be too. Watching as Coci slid off the rock to kneel before him, Thurion let out a laugh when she asked him to marry. "Yes, I will - again and again and again," he declared, and before she could reach for the basket of food sat upon the rock he grabbed hold of her and wrestled her onto the grassy ground until eventually he came out on top. Literally.

Thurion gazed down into his wife's loving eyes, as dark and mysterious as the day they met. Her long, black hair laid dishevelled against the ground and he watched as her chest rose and fell with each breath. "By all the gods... You are so beautiful," he leaned down to speak to her softly before his lips found hers. After all this time they'd been together, he was always struck by her sweet taste and intoxicating scent. Lunch could wait, because he had everything he could ever ask for right there, in his arms.

Although Thurion had surprised her with the sudden wrestling attack and the picnic basket went flying off, she did not give much resistance. Laying among the flowing grass gave them some little shelter from the wind but nothing would distract her from his eyes. There was a moment where they just looked at one another, through the eyes they connected and spoke directly to each others hearts before he leaned down to speak those words that always made her feel special and his touch, his lips made her feel like a woman.

Her hands came over to his face, cupping his cheeks as they kissed and when they parted, "I adore you", she whispered. With a gentle roll of their bodies, she placed Thurion on his back and stood up, the wind catching her once more and Coci began to remove her armour, piece by piece and let it fall where it may. Her clothing would be next until she stood naked in the wind, her hair flowing around her face. She looked to her husband and smiled before she would lay with him in the emerald field of green.
