The Silver Rest, Kashyyyk
Training Wing

For those who seek to follow the Jedi Path, the pursuit of self-discipline, learning and one day becoming a Knight of the Force and Guardian of Society, the years of Apprenticeship are arguably the most influential for any aspiring Padawan. Alternatively, a Jedi Knight in service to the people should always seek how best to provide the Galaxy with security, and what better way than to train a student of their own, so that they might carry out the very same ideals and virtues during the darkest of days where light is so sorely needed.

These are two reasons, barely scratching the surface, as to how important it is for the Order of the Silver Jedi to facilitate and encourage the pairing of Students and Mentors, not only for the benefit of the Galaxy but so too the growth of their peers.

To take a Padawan under one’s wing means to take responsibility for their livelihood, their training as well as working and living alongside them day in and day out. It is a choice not to be made lightly and for those seeking a Student, one must consider which of the students available would suit their methods and ideologies best…

It is no small amount of pressure for a Padawan to hope to make the most of their time in training, to prove themselves capable so that they might one day be granted a chance to be apprenticed under a Mentor, someone who can teach them the more advanced techniques, skills and abilities as they move to roam the Galaxy and to gain the greatest insight as to what it means to be a Jedi…

Today, we see these two groups come together within the training wing of Kashyyyk’s Silver Rest, the Students encouraged to show off their skills in all that they’ve learned so far throughout their junior years in training; From the use of a Lightsaber, Control over the Force and applying theory to practice in activities made to test their progress!

Come, join us and get to know your fellow Silver Jedi. Students are encouraged to mix and mingle with the Knights and Masters, converse and perhaps you will learn something regardless of the day's outcome.

Do you want to impress the masters or test the padawans, but do no ideas come to mind? Don't worry, we have some suggested activities for you!

Lightsaber Arts: Students may display their skills in the Saber Arts through sparring one another, fending off against training remotes or performing combination strikes against training droids (stationary, or otherwise).
Healing Activity: In this activity, students are given a leaf, instructed to tear it and then using the healing arts of Curato Salva or other techniques they’ve been taught, must mend the tear through the rejuvenation of life.
Sensory Activity: An age-old game played by younglings yet with a twist, Students must sense the image displayed on a Datapad, using the Force to guide their answers, hidden to all but the Master testing them.
Self Discipline & Control: Students are tested in their mastery of self as well as their control over the Force through this meditation exercise. Beginning from a seated position with five large stones positioned around them, they must then proceed to move these stones while using the force, not only lifting them from the ground but also stacking them one atop the other.
Ethics Discussion Group: This one is for both mentors and students who wish to delve into some difficult questions and discussions, beginning with the age-old question of whether or not it’s right to take a life, as a member of the Silver Jedi Order.
Lunch, on the house: The Order has provided a wide variety of foods and drink for the days social gathering. What better way to enjoy good company than by stuffing your face with all the best Kashyyyk has to offer!

Kade was present for the self discipline and control exercise, in a trance state beside the setup while waiting for those students arriving to take the test before them. Simple robes adorned him, his lightsaber on the ground just within reach, hair pulled back and hair brushed and his breathing painfully slow. Serenity was about him, and calm washed the area, settling nerves of anyone even looking at the test.

It was always unsettling attempting to do with the force what came naturally to the hand. More so under the supervision of someone who held the esteemed rank of master. If any came to attempt, he would be pleased with the effort alone of attending.

No one began a master, and the path was always presented differently to each student. What one learned in an evening left another struggling for years. It was never wise to judge others upon their path. The master was silent, hands folded neatly against his thighs as he sat on his heels and waited.
