OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Aquarius was getting to be an old ship when she got it. Commissioned around 837 ABY the old Tegaanalir-class Patrol Crafts were once a workhorse Mandalorian spacelane police craft responsible for small-time escorts and internal system border patrols. Great when used in large numbers with great success due to their advanced jamming beams and powerful laser cannons they, much like many designs by the old titans MandalMotors and Mandal Hypernautics, fell to the wayside when the Clans' hold over Mandalorian Space fractured and crumbled again and again over the next two decades. This particular craft wound up in a junker's stash on Concord Dawn. When she initially fell in with the Outlaws and Gangs in the Mandalore Sector she needed a new ride and scraped enough credits together to purchase the hunk of junk, which was far too overpriced. Over the next few years she made various additions and modifications when the jobs were lucrative, creating the vessel she now calls home.
Equipped with an expanded arsenal and suped-up laser cannons, she smugglers mostly in peace due to the imposing spaceframe of a Mandalorian patrol craft. Much of the interior remained unchanged, giving her ample room to shove her old racer into a corner along with an old Pamarthen skimmer bike. Modifications to its engines may be illegal in most civilized space along with her weapons, but the compartmentalized power converters in each of the three S-foils meant that tinkering with and increasing that power was easy. Her homebrew engines allowed her to keep up with patrol fighters of the modern age and made her cannons more deadly, packing a punch nearly on par with turbolasers.
She couldn't take all of the credit however, seeing as she was a terrible mechanic and all. The old DD-6 droid she affectionally refers to as "Six" handled most of the modifications and continues to oversee repairs. While the ship lacked any internal security besides identity checks. pings, and her beckon call signature, the maintenance frame of the DD-6 and her companion droid Kix, an old model KX droid saw to would-be thieves. Named the Aquarius, this vessel was Miri's home and base of operations and was a formidable foe for unsuspecting and overconfident pilots.
