Akartin knelt on the path beside the waterfall, one of the more tranquil places of the Jedi Academy or at least it was in his opinion. He preferred a sense of isolation as it promoted his senses through the force as well as gave him a simple feeling of peace. He wasn't anti-social by any means, but often times he found it easier to focus when he was alone.
An added note was the fact that he was supposed to be meeting his Master, [member="Maria Natalja"] a Jedi Knight who specialized in the path that he wanted to pursue - the path of the Consular. He was glad to have a chance to train with another member of the Jedi Order as it was the simple sharing of knowledge that would lead the Order to restoring its former glory and bringing back a sense of peace in the Galaxy.
This was his purpose for joining the Jedi, this was his mission. He would see it brought to fruition through patience and fortitude in his duties as a Padawan and throughout his career as a Jedi Consular.
These thoughts were drifting through his mind as he meditated to the Force, allowing himself to attune to its ebb and flow. It was where he felt the most at home.
