Assassinating > Conquering

I say we go after some Republic Military / Jedi / and Political leaders. Get them to thread. Not that they need to agree to die. But it gets us something to do within our job scope.

Yeah pick a big target(s) and pm a few, to see if any are interested.

So that's any leadership folks, or politicians or company owners, big pool, could post something up in RP discussion see if anyone is interested, looking for characters in high ranking faction positions.

Especially note if anyone is looking for a cool end to their character at all, tell them we'll give them a grand send off!

Not everything is a goal or a mountain that needs to be conquered. Sometimes the story or journey is more important. I say ask Starchaser if he's up for a fight. We'll go from there.

Hes not gonna let you kill his character, so its a waste of time.
That's not the issue... and it will create activity. There are very few who will let you kill their PC so by that logic this faction would be a waste of time, but I would rather not think of it that way.

Most kills will have to be NPC's, but we need to go after high profile writers, even if they are going to get away, to get the SA name out there. Lack of activity comes from doing the same old same old... we have to start mixing things up and going for kills even if it means investing energy into something we know won't go our way... That's how stories are created.

The genesis of this faction was not about assassinating PCs or characters. Being a Sith assassin was meant to be a the antithesis of the Jedi Shadow, Covert Sith who specialize in, hunting down the light, taking the fight to the enemy, handling covert missions, and functioning as spies.

The Jedi Shadows was never officially formed, and this group wasn't made because of them.

Focusing on PCs is not a good idea however.

Best suggestion would be to talk to the PC characters about personal PCs that could be killed. Look at [member="Darth Ophidia"] . I was approached by Cecily to make a failed attempt on her life. I dont want a lot of failed attempts. It gives off the air of the Assassins failing.

So she agreed to have the king of Onderon killed. Which resulted in quite a bit of Republic RP, including having the capital moved because of it.

Dont diminish NPC kills, and certainly dont focus on trying to get PC kills. The group was made to be a driving point for other characters development. Keep that in mind folks.

[member="Darth Kentarch"] has a point though... We should expand beyond killing I think. We've done a lot centered around establishing a base and training. The Doms have let us kill NPC's, perhaps some forcey espionage is in order as well.

Good ideas!

Arranging an SA skirmish is also an option. Get in touch with people, get sign-up threads, lock the number of participants to what suits you and the operation. Perhaps some intelligence gathering gone wrong and someone calls for back-up, or you strike a military target/facility of a hostile faction. Maybe you want to kidnap a high-ranking person for interrogation. Just ideas.
