The Beast and Jedi [All SJO]

Urox Moda

Guest
VOSS
SILVER CAMPUS

Touching down on a landing pad, a loan starfighter rested on the tall white and steel platform. Descending from it gangplank a stranger than usual traveller to the capital Voss, had arrived. The stranger was tall, towering over six feet with beast like humanoid frame. He was cloaked in a black Jedi tunic. His face was covered in a black cowl, made of armor weave fibres that moulded to his feline cathar features. He was an imposing dark figure with a brooding presence in the force. And yet, a presence that was not dark like him. He was a Jedi, and a follower of the Lightside. His soul burned a bright hot white flame.

This stranger, was Urox Moda, member of the Moda Techaka Cathar Clan, a shadowy ambassador. Having been exiled from his home world after assisting his brother to rise to the mantle of Clan head, Urox had spent his time protecting his home world from the shadows. However, he could not ensure his planet's continued independence alone. The Mano'ade are too close and should they creep up the Hydian Way, there would be blood to pay. Further, yet the distant systems of the Outer Rim were becoming crowded with renewed factions. But, one left him with hope. The Silver Jedi and their long-standing possessions in the Outer Rim were a beacon of light in the dark.

He would not seek help from the Galactic Alliance, it wreaked too much of the Republic and its haughty politicians that disguised conquest and subjugation with dreams of representation and democracy. The Jedi Order of old was a repressive, self-righteous horde as well. Urox was pained to leave his former master, but, felt it was right. Now the Republic was no more. And yet the Galactic Alliance still stunk of its weaknesses. By the Silver Jedi, Urox hoped, were different.

Walking down the steps of the platform, the Catharese Jedi, approached the welcoming party that had been arranged by the the order's grandmaster [member="Arisa Yune"]. There were others too he had heard of and wished to meet. He was here to negotiate a pact, a oath of fellow Jedi, to serve and protect those who cannot protect themselves.

As the ship landed she glanced up from her reading and snapped the book shut. It was an older art, but books lasted forever, whereas holo tapes and datacrons sometimes did not.

There was no movement on this pad other than her, and it was where she went to get away from everyone. They ground her gears sometimes, with all that nonsense about this and that. She was not a fan of the politics and large gatherings, but this looked promising.

She jumped off the crate and her lightsaber jingled against her hip as she landed on her feet. both thumbs tucked into her belt. Her tan cloak with the collar flew in the wind of the engines gentle purr as they shut down.
"Looks like I'm the first to see you friend. What name do you go by? I'm Karren."

Talis was tinkering on his saber, It had been damaged durning his last duel, He sighed. Talis usually had problem's such as this, He never put much thought into his saber. He chuckled at the lone thought, before shaking it off as he heard a ship landing.

Talis raced to the landing pad in spite to find out who it was, He raced through the hall's and found the entrance to the landing pad, His curiosity had gotten the better of him, He saw another Jedi approaching the figure. It was Karren Trask Talis was relieved to see her, He slowly approached behind her.

"Looks like I'm the first to see you friend. What name do you go by? I'm Karren." He heard the Jedi say to the other figure, "I better introduce myself too." Talis thought, He stepped up next to Karren, A broad smile painted across his face, "Pleasure to meet your acquaintance friend. I'm Talis, Is it alright If I know yours?" Talis said, Trying to be friendly with the figure. He kept his hand's behind his back, trying to appear friendly to the newcomer, He didn't want to give off the wrong example, He wanted to set a good exampale

Near the expected arrival time of Moda, Arisa and a few members of the Silver Assembly and Ranger Officer Corp would be hovering around the spaceport to be ready to meet the visitor right after touchdown. There was forewarning from system traffic control as they had permitted Moda to enter the restricted airspace of the Silver Campus upon confirmation of his credentials, so she would arrive just in time to see him land.

Even from a distance, the Cathar appeared as quite a large and intimidating specimen on the surface, but the man radiated with a positive aura that spoke of his true nature. Arisa would exude a similar aura as one in balance with the Force.

It looked like she had been beaten to the punch in being the first to welcome Moda, but at least she would have the distinction of being the third! She would allow her colleagues before her to exchange pleasantries with the man before stepping forward to offer her own greeting.

"Mister Moda, I presume," she said, smiling as she offered a hand to shake. "I am Arisa
Yune, Grandmaster of the Silver Order. We're so glad to have you out here today. If you're up to it, I would be open to giving you a tour of campus and have you meet with some more members of the Silver Order and Antarian Rangers before we get down to business in my office."

As the militant Galactic Alliance faltered and its hawkish policies came under harsh scrutiny, more people like Moda seemed to be looking to the Silver Jedi guidance and assistance these days. This pleased Arisa, as she strove to continue the work of her predecessors promoting stability and prosperity while respecting self-determination. At times, the pursuit of said mission sometimes required picking up arms, but only as a last resort. She believed Jedi could and should be more than just soldiers or crusaders.

Urox Moda

Guest
The young silver jedi was first to meet Urox, she was small but, held a confidence in her approach. Urox lowered his gaze down to her. It was if night and day itself stood side by side. Urox nodded to her.

"It seems you are, Ms. Karren." Urox replied. His voice was a deep bass growl. "I am Urox Moda. It is nice to meet you."

Urox began to walk by [member="Karren Trask"]. He inspected the silver jedi as he passed by her. The air of her presence was different. Perhaps these silver jedi were different after all. A nice change from the Jedi Order of old. But, a part of him wondered if such soft mannered jedi would last in the bloody struggles he himself had suffered. Nevertheless, Urox enjoyed what he saw so far.

It was at this point another brought himself to greet Urox. A zabrak who introduced himself as [member="Talis Palecrest"]. Urox began to wonder if he had been fooled into chatting with by-standers. Urox was polite but, perhaps those years in war he had grown impatient and brutish. He could her his mother's old lectures battering his mind to play nice.

"I am Urox Moda, and I see the Silver Jedi have a thriving hospitality to them." Urox said. He folded his large arms pushing his bulbous muscles atop one another beneath the black armor weave of his sleeves. He continued on his walk, when he felt the burning furnace of the light that was the Grandmaster, the one who had earlier contacted him as [member="Arisa Yune"].

Approaching her he untucked his arms from one another and bowed his head with a hand on his chest.

"I would very much appreciate your tour." Urox growled. "I am your guest, so I shall adhere to my host's wishes. But, I must insist that the matter for which I have arrived be dealt with soon. The fate of my peoples rests upon it."

[member="Urox Moda"]

"Hmm, the impatient type then?" She asked, face stern and eyes dead locked with his.

Granted it was above her level as of yet to speak out when higher ranks were present, but she didn't care.

"We try to be hospitable. What would you like to see first? I can take you there."

When offering a tour, she hadn't been aware of the urgency of Moda's issue. Thoughts of the usual customs afforded to guests were forgotten as her mind slipped into crisis mode.

"My apologies," she said not at all offended. "The tour and gathering I had planned can be pushed back for now. We'll go straight to the meeting if there aren't any complaints on your end."

She motioned for him to follow her down from the landing pad toward the Silver Temple, which was only a short walking distance away. Aside from Moda, she only expected the rest of the Assembly and Ranger officers present to follow her to the office. She expected to engage in high-level talks of a sensitive nature that wasn't appropriate for any old person to drop into, least not at this juncture. The others would then been free to interact with Modo once her initial discussion with him was complete.

There was a healthy mix of individuals around the spaceport, but closer to the temple there would be a higher concentration of Jedi, many training among themselves. Several would greet her along the way to the temple proper, and she would respond in kind. Much attention would also be on Modo, quite an unforgettable figure both physically and spiritually.

The interior of the Silver Temple had a similar sleek and pearly aesthetic to the exterior, the whole structure imbued with the positive energies of all the students and Jedi who had passed through its halls over the years.

There would be a few turns here and there through the temple until they came upon the wing of offices reserved for the most senior members of the Silver Order. Her office was at the very end, which looked like a greenhouse within, plants lining just about every wall.

She took her seat behind her desk and allowed everyone to settle before addressing Modo again.

"Now Mister Modo, how exactly may the Silver Order help with Cathar? What's going on there or in the region?"

((Just to clarify, it's just going to be me, Valae and Valkren addressing Urox in private, then I'll open up talks back with the SJO as a whole.))

Valae Kitra strode towards the landing pad, the fact that she was a bit late had put a bit of an extra spring into her step. Today they were expecting a visitor, a Catharese Jedi, if she wasn’t mistaken. Up ahead, she spotted the ship setting down. She picked up the pace, shuffling towards the group that had gathered to welcome their guest.

Already she glimpsed a familiar face. It seemed that Karren was one of the first to offer a greeting. The young woman with fiery-red hair had recently come to join the Silver Circle, and was studying under Valae. She hadn’t much time to get to know her as of yet, but she hoped to continue to do so as they worked together. As she came up to stand with them, she offered a nod to [member="Karren Trask"] and [member="Talis Palecrest"].

She exhaled, still working to catch her breath. Valae glanced to Arisa, offering a small smile as if to say: sorry I’m late. However, the introductions would have to be cut short, for it seemed that the situation was quite urgent. Turning on a heel, she followed a few steps behind the Grandmaster and their very tall guest. The Cathar was an intimidating sight, to be sure, but she could feel no ill-intent. After all, he was here seeking help. As they came to the Grandmaster’s office, the group had thinned.

Valae took a seat off to the side, her hands clasped gently in her lap.

As the Grandmaster posed a question to the Cathar, Valae turned her eyes to him. She would study him quietly as he formed a response, and for now, she would remain silent.

Talis trailed behind the group, They were starting with a tour. He chuckled before staying behind the group.

His eye's stayed glued to the ground, He then observed the sky, looking upon it as they got inside there..base..Talis would call it.

They slowly made they're way to the Grandmaster's office. They approached the door, Talis looked around before sighing

They opened the door and went Inside. Talis minding his own buisness he stood to the side hoping not to intrude on the such Conversation.

Talis leaned on the wall near the door listening to everyone who was talking he moved his belt to the side he crossed his arm's as he leaned on the wall. Hopefully this were to end fast.
