Private The Beast and the Boy

Lukas, as had sort of became a habit as of late, once again found himself drifting towards a planet he barely knew of. All he knew was it's name, Sarrassia, and that It was home to a useful material, Sarrassian Steel. While he was no craftsmen, nor was he entirely sure he knew how to extract an ore, he was interested in getting some of this material. Maybe he'd be inspired or something, he wasn't sure what he hoped to get out of acquiring this iron.

As the ship set down, and Lukas disembarked, he cast his gaze out around the scenery around where he'd landed, pleasantly surprised at what he saw. "Nice change from all the deserts." He muttered to himself, rolling his shoulders and stretching his neck. As much as he'd come to enjoy travelling and seeing new places, he still couldn't get used to the actual process of travelling.

The Acolyte wasn't entirely sure how mines were ran typically, or even where to find them, but looking around at the mountains near by, he assumed there would be some kind of mine shaft, whether that be abandoned or active, close by. Lukas set off from by his ship towards the mountains in search of one such mine shaft. It took him a while, but after much effort in searching, Lukas finally stumbled into what looked like a mineshaft, whether it was active or not, he couldn't tell. Not that it mattered, he was here for iron, and he intended to get that iron.

The mineshaft wasn't quite how Lukas had expected, as he'd expected one of two extremes with either manual mining or a huge excavation drill. The reality was somewhere in between, with what looked to be a normal mineshaft, but huge holes had been excavated by machinery. Some of that machinery lay abandoned around the entrance, becoming increasingly less common as you travelled deeper. Lukas suspected any iron near the surface would have been long since discovered, so immediately he set off, deeper and deeper in hopes of discovering this iron.

Under the banner of the Sith Order, Nyâsh had begun mining operations on Sarrassia in the last year, not extensive, but in a sublte and periodic manner. They had dug sheveral mine shafts and worked on one at a time, abandoning it for another the next month. Three such sites existed and they had worked there for nine months so far, three months of which were not actively worked. Once leaving, every facility was to be left behind like it was abandoned, with the mines itself looking like nothing was found.

The Warmaster was far above these dealings from His perspective, He set it up and organised the project manager initially, but never visited the sites.

Now was the first time and He had come to collect the ore. Sarrassian Iron was valued for its connection to the Dark side and could be utilised to craft a variety of equipment amplifying the abilities of its wearer. Coming to the world and taking a look at the mines would give a decent indication of how their work went and if it was worth to continue investing or not. For Him it was a mundance quality control. For the director it was a terrifying experience which could result in a protentially rapid-unplanned disassembly of body parts.

During his vist at the current mining facility, His ship being slowly loaded with what was mined in the past year, the report came in that one of the empty mines had their motion sensors ringing. Curious to see who the trespasser was, Nyâsh mounted his
Tectâr and flew towards the location some hour away.

Lukas simply continued his exploration of the mine, passing by the seemingly abandoned machinery. On occasion, he'd stop and have a closer inspection of some machines., but mostly he'd simply walk by. While he knew what Sarrissian Iron was, he basically only knew of it by name and wasn't sure what exactly it was that he was looking for.

The thought that this mine was abandoned due to having exhausted it's natural resources crossed the Acolytes head more than once, and eventually this small hunch became more and more concrete in his mind. With a defeated sigh, he set back up towards the surface. It wasn't likely to be the only mine on the planet, in fact he expected there would be others relatively close. However, his time exploring the shaft had left him somewhat tired so he lowered himself, taking a seat on the floor outside of the mine.

He relaxed for a while, when suddenly he made out a shape in the far off distance that only seemed to be getting closer. He couldn't tell what it was, or if it was even worth taking note of, but. it made him rise to his feet, his hands moving to rest on the hilts of his sabers, an action which was often unnecessary, but one that bought him a level of comfort in unknown places.
