The Beginning

Korriban, the birthplace of the Sith, for millenia it is what the Sith have called home to, for Valin it was where it was a prison for him. He had been kept for many years, a mask placed on his head to provide excruciating pain over and over, for when it was saw fit. The Jen'Vikas initiate symbol. The first circle as it was called, was still fresh on his arm. He had nothing as far as he could tell, locked within a dark cell. It was the same cell he had known for many years. Ever since the fall of the Jedi Temple, the betrayal by Master Raaf. He had been kept by the Sith as a prisoner for months he tried to stay in control, until the mounting isolation, torture, and the constant probing of his mind had driven him to utter insanity. He still saw in the future, the constant pain that came from the Sith Torture mask attached to his head made sure of that, it was one uniquely designed for the one young seer.

Now he was here, thoughts flooding into his mind, when he saw a vision he often spoke cryptically of course. One could never interpret what signs the Force would give, it was constantly in motion. Sometimes he even saw glimpses of what could be seen as multiple paths, with this one he saw even more horrifying visions. Even as he did not know what went on in the galaxy, somehow the visions would alter the course of the future. Even in motion or not. Even as he waited for someone to appear, he recalled the most recent vision in his head.

"The Lion, once great unity with the Wolf bears fruit no more.
Attacked thrice, the Wolf weakened, the city of crystal attacked.
The Lion grows from shadows, the Wolf's fall at hand shall howl into the shadow envelops."

"You know, predictions don't mean much if the average Sith using you can't understand." A voice would echo through the room, followed by a sip of water as Vanessa Vantai would enter the area. "Though I can only assume this prediction relates to the recent circumstances." She responded. "I'm Vanessa Vantai. So tell me, Valin, what sort of work are you intending on doing? Would you like to leave this place, perhaps elevate yourself within the Sith?"

Such was a great opportunity, for sure, but Vanessa believed it had the potential to be suitable, both for her, and for this new acolyte.

When the seer saw the woman approach, he was surprised. No one came to visit, he let out a laugh as the woman who came before him remarked on how the Sith could not use him, when he spouted his cryptic predictions. The Force was constantly moving, even when he saw a glimpse into the Future, the currents of the Force was always in motion. Even he couldn't get the complete idea, only the canvas on which the vision would play out. Multiple paths there was of course. Even when seeing the complete picture, he liked to be cryptic as even he didn't have a complete mind. His mind was shattered, and when it was he watched as how things played out, how the Force intended for things to always play out, he was simply just helping read the currents that was moving.

"Yes, but what you do not understand is the Force moves always in motions, years and years many have tried. The Emperor's servants wanted to use my power, some of the predictions worked. Other times it would change. How you can free me from this place, I do not understand." He said eyeing the woman through the Sith Torture Mask, curious as to what she wants, what she could do for him?

"Yes yes, I know." She said. "Predictions are fickle yet useful things. And the Force, on occasion, seems to actively act against those who seek to peer upon in. For example, there's a reason why no Force User with precognition has ever been able to win the Galactic Lottery." She smiled, before looking the prisoner over. "I see a few things here. For example, you are obviously very well broken in to the Dark Side. You being kept here benefits no one - but I'd like to propose a little something to you." Vanessa sat down on the floor in front of the imprisoned man.

"I would like to provide the galaxy with an apprentice I can actually be proud of. Not like Ayra, not like those who I've briefly tutored. Let me elaborate - I am willing to make you my apprentice. I will train you in the ways of Sith sorcery, alchemical procedures, and the talents of the Dark Side. I will give you a pathway to ascend within our ranks." She paused for a moment before standing up and poking a finger onto the top of the mask he was wearing. "But most importantly, I will help you rebuild that fragmented psyche of your into something much more stable than it currently is."

She stayed silent, looking the captive in the eye. "Do we have a deal?"
