DESCRIPTION
Several centuries ago, a weapon was forged for the sole purpose of countering the Sith's Sithspawn abominations. When faced such creatures, the Jedi Order would often find itself without a proper counter aside from pure martial force. In response, shortly before the fateful battle of Ruusan, a Jedi Master by the name of Vicarion put together designs for the blade. Together with a gathering of his Jedi cohorts, Vicarion worked for six days and six nights straight, pouring the energies of the Ashla into the inert hilt of the blade.
On the seventh day, the gathering inserted a crystal. To their dismay, the blade refused to come to life. After more trial and error, the majority of the Jedi gave up on the project, save for Vicarion himself. The Jedi Lord had put in far too much time to abandon his project, and so his work continued for many decades, and yet the blade would never light.
Vicarion worked on pouring his energies into the weapon until the end of his life. Unfortunately for the Jedi Master, death took him before he could see the blade finished. It was left in a vault deep beneath the Graywall for centuries following, until Vication's descendant discovered the weapon during the height of the Clone Wars. The force itself guided the young woman deep into the caverns that stretched beneath the Graywall. She walked for what felt like hours, but she did not waver, the force's pull ever guiding her along.
Upon reaching the deepest corner of the caverns, she happened upon the source of the pull. A brilliant cyan crystal had lit up the cavern like a beacon, and it called to the girl as if it were a child seeking its mother. The crystal was warm in her hands, and filled her with a sense of peace and comfort she had not felt since before the wars had begun.
The girl took it upon herself to replace the blade's crystal with this new one, and the results were extraordinary. The blade came to life immediately, and the feeling she had felt holding the crystal in her hand exuded off of the blade in waves. Extremely pleased, the young Grayson used the blade until her death shortly after Order 66, but not before storing the weapon back in its rightful place beneath the Graywall.
Since then, the weapon has been wielded by a number of Graysons, though it always manages to find its way back to its castle home. Now, after passing his Jedi Trials, the specter of Vicarion has deemed Cedric worthy of the fabled blade. Only time will tell if Vicarion's judgement was correct.

Weaknesses:
- Intent: To create a lightsaber designed to counter Sithspawn and Dark Side entities / to create a LS equivalent to the Soulsaber. To make an intersting Light Side artifact to be passed down once Cedric's story ends.

- Restricted Missions: Cedric undergoes the Jedi Trials to earn the Lightsaber.
- Primary Source: Lightsaber, Soulsaber

SPECIAL FEATURES
- A Cyan Kyber crystal formed within the caves beneath the Graywall. The crystal was bathed in the Light Sided energies of the castle's ancient force sensitive tree for centuries before being plucked from the cavern's depths.
- A two-handed hilt best used by a physically powerful combatant.
- Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse.
- The Blade of Ruusan emits a calming presence to those within five meters of it. It naturally repels those attuned to the Dark Side, leaving them with feelings ranging from an uncomfortable sensation to outright nausea depending on their distance from the blade. This light sided presence's combat applications are exceptional, as it provides the wielder and his allies with a sense of serene confidence, whilst demoralizing their foes. Sithspawn and similar entities will likely feel great pain in the blade's presence, and perhaps even suffer physical damage as if they were exposed to force light.

Strengths:
- Can cut through many materials with relative ease.
- Operates under water.
- Improves the morale of nearby allies: abates their sense of fear, gives them newfound confidence, and grants the wielder and his or her allies a greater sense of unity both in and out of combat.
- The blade repels the Dark Side in all its forms. Sithspawn will recoil from it. Sith Lords will find themselves driven to forms of discomfort ranging from mild annoyance to complete debilitation depending on the distance from the blade, and the individual's own latent corruption. Furthermore, the blade will often call to a Dark Sider within the realm of the Force, urging them to let go of their hatred and ties to the shadow so that they might finally be free of their pain.
- In places where the Light Side is strong, such as a Jedi Temple or an Ashla Force Nexus, the blade's abilities are amplified.
- Should a being of the Dark Side ever touch the blade, they will most likely find themselves struck with a great and unnatural pain as the Light Side's energies seep into their fingertips. This causes no real damage, but the pain is great enough to make most beings drop the weapon outright.
- The blade itself will most likely bring about a terrible agony so great in any Dark Sider it strikes, that very, very few could truly withstand it. Just as the blade calls to those Dark Siders around it, so too does it promise release from this pain in those it has wounded, so long as they let go of the shadow.
Weaknesses:
- Cortosis will short out the blade if contact is made.
- The hilt is larger than a normal lightsaber, requiring two hands to use in an effective manner.
- Ysalamiri and other creatures that negate the force's effect completely halt the lightsaber's power. Furthermore, when under the lightsaber's sway, one will find it extremely jarring to suddenly have it taken away. Their feelings of fear, anxiety, and other natural emotions one might experience in battle will come rushing back in such a way that very few could maintain their composure.
- The blade is a beacon of light in a galaxy choked by darkness. It can be sensed from miles away by force sensitives of every stripe, and the beacon can never be turned off. All pretense of stealth must be tossed aside if one wishes to wield this blade.
- The weapon instills feelings of selflessness in the user. Whilst one might consider this a good thing, these feelings can often lead to a rather needless self-sacrifice in situations where surrendering or fleeing may be the better option.
- The Blade of Ruusan is a fickle thing. It will rebel against a wielder it deems unworthy, often causing great discomfort in the wielder, and refusing to activate outright. It will do so as well if the wielder is carrying any other weapon on their person. It has been instilled with the pride Vicarion took in creating it; one could say the blade grows jealous should its master bring any other tools to the battlefield.
- This lightsaber's hilt is particularly heavy, and thus cannot be thrown accurately without a few seconds of prior aiming. In the thick of combat, these seconds can be the difference between life and death. Thus, it is extremely unwise to throw this lightsaber in combat, limiting a force user's already narrow avenue of ranged combat.
