- Force Imbuement - Telepathic defense is vital to ensuring the secrets of the Nightsisters, Mandragora, and Confederacy are kept safe. This can supplement a conscious wearer, or provided that much more protection to an unconscious one to prevent memory absorption, memory alteration, and the like. However, because the Nightmother cannot ignore the voices of spirits, telepathic communication is still possible - even uninvited ones.
- Nihil Smokestone - Used to supplement existing skill (or make up for a lack thereof) in telepathy, the smokestone can allow broadcasting to or monitoring of a wider audience remotely.
- Alchemical Enhancement - The Grafiform provided by Vytal allows the armor to adapt to the wearer's form on the fly without losing its integrity.
- Crystal Lattices - Adegan crystal in the shoulder armor allow storing a relatively small amount of Force power in case of emergency; enough for several minor uses, or one burst of power. Meanwhile, the meditation crystalline lattice lining the gauntlets and boots allow for more fluid use of Force energy.
- Weaponized Gauntlets - When combat demands a personal touch, the beskar and songsteel reinforced gauntlets with their vibro-clawed fingertips can provide. The reinforced forearm length of the gauntlets are strong enough to deflect lightsabers and blaster bolts.
- Kavacha Shield - One of the few technological enhancements added to the armor, the dynamic shield provides additional defensive options especially when the Force is suppressed.
- Valkyrie System - The portable medi-pack/stim system can be used in emergencies as the Nightmother tends to set out on her own at times, and may be far from a friendly face for treatment.
- LK Hermes - An encrypted commlink for a secure means of contacting allied forces.
- Asheran Armorweave - Provides the fundamental protection against blasters, blades, and lightsabers over most of the wearer's body (excluding the head).
- Beskar - The chest, shoulders, arms, and boots are reinforced with a layer of the Mandalorian ore providing additional protection against blasters, lightsabers, and kinetic attacks. It does not extend throughout the entire armor, but will protect vital organs and keep its wearer able to move in combat.
- Songsteel - A protective metal used to accentuate the armor to reduce the amount of beskar needed and keep the weight lighter. Woven into the armor, it supplements the armorweave protection against lightsabers over most of the wearer's body.
- Superstretch Durafiber - The material used in some EVA suits helps bolster protection against extreme temperatures, including those experienced in the vacuum of space. The suit is not fully enclosed so use as a EVA suit would need supplemented with the Force if unexpectedly exposed.
- Defense against Mental Attack or Theft - The mystical (Force) imbuement provides protection against mental attacks made on the wearer. The effect is strongest when conscious, but it is especially appreciated in providing that much more defense when unconscious.
- Agegan Crystals - Able to contain a small amount of Force energy, these crystalline stores can enable an otherwise incapacitated or exhausted Force user to draw upon their power one last time; even a small amount of power may mean the difference between life or death.
- Integrated Weapons - Vibrobladed tips of the clawed gauntlets provide a last line of offense or defense. While as vicious and effective as other vibroblades, their much small form-factor makes for far shallower wounds and places their wearer well within striking distance of their opponent.
- Kavacha Shield - A dynamic shield generator able to produce multiple shapes and types of defenses. A potent protective measure when on any battlefield.
- EMP/ION Attacks - While the number of technology-based features are limited, the armor has only the manufacturer's ion-protection; no dedicated or enhanced protection. Enough to not be shorted out passing by an high-energy advertisement, but easily disabled by an ion grenade. A successful attack would especially leave the wearer without the Kavacha Shield.
- Exposed - As it is not heavy armor, and agility is still favored, there are several areas -- including the head if not supplemented by a helmet -- that a skilled opponent could exploit. Sonic attacks may also prove useful without ear protection. Likewise, fire or ice against an unprotected head or face could be debilitating or lethal.
- Telepathic Voices - The Force Imbuement against mental attack or theft does not prevent telepathic communication. A telepath could try overwhelming the wearer with their voice -- the larger number of voices, or the louder they are, the more effective.
- Not a Tech Powerhouse - The armor is not decked out with numerous sensors or an advanced HUD able to provide battlefield dominance. If supplementing equipment is not on hand, the wearer must use their own skills and abilities to avoid being caught unaware by an enemy, or in missing some key environmental detail.
- Force Enhanced - Force Imbuement, Nihil Smokestone, Grafiform, and power stored in the Agegan Crystals may be suppressed by Force nullification and dampening effects.
Nightmother Vytal Noctura has found herself on several occasions surrounded by enemies or wading into the unknown alone. A sturdy suit of armor that reflects her roots as a Nightsister of Dathomir, while not completely foregoing the technological marvels of Offworld would be most useful in hostile conditions. Knowing this, Vytal sought a manufacturer of such an armor utilizing connections within the Confederacy to acquire resources and technologies to furnish the creation.
Kad Tor offered to ply his trade in the Nightmother's pursuit so long as she provided all the materials. The Witch then sought out John Locke, a resident Confederacy Technologist and Magnate, for the technology to be incorporated. Meanwhile, the Mandragora furnished the more organic components for the armor or arranged for the purchase of rarer metals and minerals.
The Mandalorian's creation certainly lived up to Vytal's expectations. The deep red would carry Dathomir's banner into the galaxy even on the surface of Ryloth. A piece of home that would never be taken much as their voices would never be silenced. With this new armor, the Nightmother would forge a path into the future for Sisters and Brothers alike. Its ability to withstand the most common forms of combat in the galaxy, and to weather the rigors of some of the harshest climates, would allow her to venture to every corner of the galaxy. That it could not protect against every conceivable threat did not tarnish her optimism; life was full of challenges to be overcome.
