"Captain, what's our status?"
"We are still investigating the hyper drive into seeing on why it malfunctioned. I would advise that we avoid long distant warps for the time being until this strange anomoly is fixed."
"Did we manage to fix up the Imperial Base?"
"No, sir. The base was too damaged for us to repair, but we have recovered the information that you have requested and stored it within our databanks."
"Very good, Captain. You're dismissed."
A salute came from the Captain. "Sir."
Admiral Nagisa Yamamoto, previously once known as one of the more revered female admirals of the galaxy by the First Galactic Empire, now lost, disconnected from her empire, and a long way from home in the depths of the Unknown Regions... Attempts to send a distress signal is still on going. She already ordered to have it go off, but no one has came for over three years. And with new information about the Empire being dead being as unbelievable as a relief squad not coming is overwhelming to the Atrisian Admiral.
Pacing around her ship, she glanced at the stormtroopers and other personnel on the ship. The crew held several officers and naval units, as well as stormtroopers and several TIE pilots. With one ship alone, it almost felt like a small town with a small military force of it's own. If true that the First Empire is indeed dead, if proven to her 100%, they would be the last citizens of the Empire. She would see some of her officers and stormtroopers talking with eachother about their families. Earlier, in the Cantina part of the ship, some fellow officers shared pictures of their families they had back at home. Marius Orban, an Imperial Senior Commander that served with her for quite some time, shared a small picture of her wife and two beautiful daughters that he raised back on his home planet of Fresia. Things like this gave a sense of sadness to Nagisa, as it reminds her of home too much.
No... she was in the Imperial Navy, and she doesn't want to end up like the other Admirals who end up committing suicide. It would shame her honour, and her loyalty that she pledge to protect and serve the Empire and her people. Even without his highness, Nagisa can manage to destroy whoever dares oppose the Empire, atleast in spirit. If no one can be capable of leading it, then why not her? Perhaps this is destiny calling to her.
However, one of the technicions came up to inform her of something.
"Miss, we have reparied the hyperdrive!"
Nagisa glanced at him, and quickly got on her transmitter.
"Vice Admiral Pidmut, prepare to engage. The Hyper drive is fixed. Let us set course for Scariff."
Gaius Pidmut, whom had been her trusted officer for a long time, is now her Vice Admiral, responded to the message.
"Yes, sir."
Getting to the deck as quickly as she could, she met up with Pidmut and sat on her chair, pressing a few buttons, and with him standing by her side, alongside Captain Orban, whom she promoted a year ago after the promotion of Pidmut.
"Scariff has an important Imperial Base that perhaps we could find out if all of these articles and such are true. I must see for myself what happened there. If we really did traveled forward in time, then I need more evidence than that outpost."
Upon a few days after, the ship arrived out of hyperspace near Scarrif. With still some suspicion, she glanced at Orban.
"Orban, what's the year on your holonet watch?"
He checked and looked at the news articles.
"Still 853, sir. I do not know what the ABY is, but apparently, a battle near Yavin happened 853 years ago."
Scratching her chin, Nagisa shook her head. "I see." she pressed a button on her chair. "Send out a few TIE Scouts and investigate the area."
With that, a few TIE pilots begun to scout the area from the deck and explored the area.
"Another order I wish to give to all personnel, I do not want anymore long distant hyperdrive travel until we completely repair our hyperdrive. We were very lucky we didn't traveled even further in time. The last thing I want to see is the end of the universe, and the lonely photon bouncing around our ship while we stare into a void of nothing but darkness. For now, we will conduct lower hyperdrive. I will refuse any sort of requests to very far away planets such as Scarrif. We went a long long way from Ilum to come here. Even if it's slower for us to reach the core with this distance limit, it would be wise."
