GENERAL INFORMATION
Group Name: Body Astro Navigant
Classification: Guild
Headquarters: Yag’Dhul
Loyalties: The Body Calculus
Group Sigil: A sequence of constellations visible from Yag’dhul shown in the Fibonacci sequence.
DESCRIPTION
The Body Astro Navigant consists of Force-Sensitive Givin dedicated to using their abilities to sense and traverse Realspace and Hyperspace, chart undocumented space lanes, phenomena, and obstacles, as well as explore Hyperspace, Otherspace, and Subspace. The givin use their advanced arithmetic, a variation of Force Sensehttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_sense and Foresight to detect and identify, sometimes subtly manipulate, nearby gravitic fluctuations and celestial objects, Life Sense to register inhabited planets within their vicinity, and Instinctive Astrogation to help plot optimal courses through space and navigate otherwise untraversable routes through space. Its members scale widely, however its leadership and higher ranks are elevated based on the accuracy and reliability of their predictions , the efficiency of their plotted courses, and their discoveries and advancements in exploration rather than their raw power in the Force.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
Hierarchy: A Council of Dominus Astronavigators oversees the Guild, each one responsible for a specific aspect of the guild such as finance, research and development, data logging, and exploration in addition to any other essential function of the organization. When they do leave Yag’dhul it is normally for personal desire and they are never directly hired by foreign powers.
Beneath them the bulk of the membership consists of Probabat and Spectatus, members of experience and possessing strong skills with the Force dedicated to navigating stars. New Probabat are only elevated in rank by the Dominus after completion of trials and individual exploration, considered as difficult and rare to obtain as a doctorate or advanced post-graduate degree from any Givin mathematical institute. Normally only after they have discovered and documented uncharted phenomena or Hyperspace routes are they elevated so. Some act as quartermasters, mentors, and professors for supplicants and Incognitus while on Yag’dhul. Others make up management positions for required duties throughout the guild.
Spectatus have developed skills and accompanied Probabat and Dominus on exploration missions enough to be able to manage themselves and are normally the most eager to accept jobs and hiring from foreigners in order to elevate themselves. The best chance to discover something new to coordinate with a thesis is to study in the field after all.
At the bottom are the Incognitus, inexperienced and unknown members of the Guild who haven’t completed their training to be promoted to Spectatus. Incognitus will act as secretaries, mechanics, and interns for the Guild as well as accompany Probabat and Dominus on missions as assistants so they can glean information and experience from their superiors.
Membership: The Body Astro Navigant recruits only Force-Sensitive Givin that show early predictors for innate skill and disposition for talents in Astronavigation and Foresight. This has a severely limited recruitment prospects for the Guild, but allows them to properly test supplicants in order to ensure that individuals are placed where they will be most efficient.
Dogma/Doctrines:
The Guild maintains a strict set of laws, owning its allegiance to the Body Calculus, and enforcing its membership not to endanger Yag’Dhul or the Givin species through their actions or inactions. Thus decisions are made carefully after mathematical scrutiny, jobs and missions that they undertake are only done after delicate cost-risk analysis.
Members are expected to fulfill all contracts they accept, unless those contracts would force them to act against the interests of the Body Calculus or the Guild. The members are expected to pay a tax of their earnings to the guild if approached as individuals, and they are expected to fulfill a purpose for the guild while residing on Yag’dhul.
Members are not to expose the Starcharts gathered and compiled by the guild to outsiders for any reason. Only the Dominus may sell charts to foreigners in order to continue the guild’s funding.
Curios: Most members wear a simple patch of the Guild’s insignia somewhere on their persons. Higher ranking members are denoted only by additional stars mounted on the insignia. Most ranking members also wear a ring or other piece of jewelry which contains encrypted starcharts they are able to update upon new discoveries.
Goals: The Body Astro Navigant works to chart and explore the galaxy, explore and study Hyperspace and its many phenomena, Otherspace, and Subspace in order to expand their understanding of the universe. In order to efficiently reach this goal, they offer education and payment for relative data on occasion.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Body Astro Navigant was created by the Body Calculus after the Givin species saw a marked increase in members of the species leaving Yag’dhul and exploring the Galaxy centuries before the Gulag Plague struck. As Force Sensitives became more widely understood, at least in part, the Body Calculus began researching the subjects with much greater scrutiny. However it was not until after the Sith-Imperial War that the Body Calculus formally organized the Guild in an effort to train the members of the species who were Force Sensitive on their native world, rather than being forced to send them to Jedi, Sith, and other academies, the Body Calculus organized a series of Guilds to help develop those with talents.
The Guild claims responsibility for the charting of many Deep Core Hyperspace Lanes, including the ones the CIS used to assault Coruscant in 19BBY. Being Givin, the Guild prefers isolationism to openly advertising its services, with a strong preference for those who can approach them or its members politely and request services. In the old days they would charter or maintain their own exploration vessels with very little need to outsource, however since the Gulag Plague the Guild is more likely to accept jobs and contracts with outsiders. Some Explorers of the Unknown Regions swear by these enigmatic guides through the unknown, paying significant sums of money to lease one or more of these cartographers for their expeditions to make use of their intriguing abilities.
After the Gulag Plague the Body Astro Navigant struggled to regain its footing and relevance as the Galaxy began exploring the vastness of space once again. With the explosion of known Hyperspace routes, exploration, and charted phenomena following the Plague, the Guild turned its attentions to exploring and understanding Hyperspace, Subspace, and Otherspace while continuing its use of freelance missions to fund itself, though the Guild has fallen on hard times.
