I'm Sexy and I Know It
We are a brotherhood. We are a sisterhood. We are a Family. Together as a Family, we are strong. Divided, we are weakened. Among the shadows we thrive, away from the light.
We do not fear the shadows. We welcome it like an old friend. We greet it as a long lost sibling. We hold it close as a child does to a returning parent. We use the shadows as a tool, as a weapon, and as a savior. To forsake the shadows and bring forth our family to the light will only bring harm to the family. To our brothers and sisters. To our parents and children.
For this reason, there exist Truths that must be followed. All Family members must abide by these Truths. All Truths are to be accepted upon joining our Family. There are no exceptions.
While we are one Family and are all siblings, parents, or children to one another, we must regulate ourselves to prevent confusion and to promote our own identities within our Family.
For this reason, the Family is to be organized into coexisting Clans and Organizations within the Family. New Clans and Organizations must submit themselves to the Family Head for acknowledgment so as to be added to the Family. Existing Clans and Organizations must pay homage and follow the leadership of the Family Head, as is tradition.
Despite being a Family, we are not all from the same home. We are not all from the same system. For this reason, we must organize further to prevent chaos.
Clans and Organizations are to be sorted by planetary body or star system. All Clans and Organizations, young and old, must submit their holdings to the Family Head so as to be properly acknowledged upon their locations.
Within our Family, there are those siblings, parents, or children that possess attributes that are necessary for the Family to survive or that the Family may find useful. These individuals will find their power, prestige, and prowess to grow exponentially within the Family, as the Family permits.
Individuals within a Clan or Organization that show merit, dedication, and humility shall be granted higher stations as permitted by their Superior. The individual's Superior must vouch for the individual, whereupon the Family may grant an ascension in stature within the Family itself.
We are a Family among Shadows. We are a Family of Shadows. To bring the Light upon our Family is to endanger the Family and all that thrive within. This is not acceptable and is in direct violation of the Truths we live by. For this reason, individuals that threaten the safety of the family by betrayal, disobedience, insolence, or failure must be punished.
Individuals that endanger the Family through the aforementioned means are to be punished. Punishment is dependent on the act committed and must be selected by the individual's Clan or Organization Head. In severe cases or instances where high ranking Superiors or even entire Clans or Organizations have broken these Truths, the Family Head will determine the punishment required.
Punishments range as the following from mild to severe.
Completing a difficult task to atone for crimes committed.

The Removal of the last digit of the smallest finger in penance.

The loss of personal property to the Family in payment for Crimes committed.

The loss of a Hand for Crimes committed without the permission of a prosthetic. Such things must be earned.

Expulsion from the Family.

Permission to atone for Crimes committed by completing a task that demands the ultimate sacrifice.
*
Execution for Crimes committed.
To flee or avoid punishments for Crimes committed is to be declared Dishonored. Dishonored will have a bounty placed upon their head and will be retrieved for appropriate punishment among the Family. Dishonored will retain such a title until punishment is received.
