- Double the Barrel, double the Boom: With two barrels, the BOOM Launcher can fire out two grenades, not necessarily having to be of the same type. You want to shoot out a cryoban grenade to freeze your enemies in place and then an incendiary grenade to set them on fire? Fire away!
- Weak Arm? No problem!: With the BOOM Launcher, one does not need concern themselves if they have a poor throwing arm! The launcher can fire grenades a long distance, using the handy dandy sight as a range finder!
- With Great Power Comes Great Recoilability: Because of the power needed to launch out the grenades, alongside the somewhat heavy weight of the launcher, the BOOM has a pretty heavy kick. Whilst it can be fired one handed, it was not recommended.
- Close range? No boom: With the minimum arming distance, the BOOM launcher is poorly suited for close-ranged situations. Whilst a grenade could be used as a pretty hefty slug, it wouldn't be possible to use the launcher to its full potential.
Seeing the Tingel Arm Coalition as her own little project, Kiwa decided it would be best to start crafting even more weapons and tools that the group would be able to use in their war against the cruel Empire!...okay, she just wanted to make some more toys and see how they'd act up in battle. With the creation of a rifle for the TAC to use, she decided to move onto making a more heavy duty weapon that could be used for guerilla based attacks or rebellion. What better than a grenade launcher that can fire off explosions of liberation!
Making a grenade launcher was far more difficult than she was expecting, trying to justify whether it was a better idea to reduce recoil for less power or if power was more important so as to propel the grenades a further distance but considering she had already made an up-close and personal weapon, she decided that the BOOM launcher will be more of a long ranged based weapon instead. She'd probably stick to throwing grenades herself, but there were stronger members of the TAC who would probably appreciate a design like this. She'd probably be able to reduce the recoil if she had better supplies and resources, but once again, the TAC was just going to have to deal with what she could make.
