The Brotherhood Sub-faction

If you are unfamiliar with it, click the name, but I was thinking of starting a subfaction, but wanted to see if anyone would be interested.

My idea is to start with the Brotherhood of Darkness and expand. In the faction there are two ranks, the Dark Lord and the Brothers. Now this is not in response to the Black Rose sisters and going to be only for male characters, any gender can join.

To join you must be tested, a test not like anything your master put you through...maybe. It will be tests that will make you face the tenants. For example, fear will make you face your greatest fear. Death will make you actually face death. The intentions will be to make a brotherhood similar to the Spartans who were bred, raised and trained to be warriors beyond compare. In the Brotherhood the only thing that separates brothers is war accomplishments which means it is possible for a Acolyte to have more pristine is accomplishments made in war.

I hope this would grow to something more, but these are my starting ideas, anyone like where it is going so far? As for the test for joining, everyone, even my character will have to face them. First I need tenants.
Basically a subfaction that gives invasions, doms and whatever other PvP things a new level of fun that we push for. There will also be missions, trainings and such that will be exclusive to the faction.

There is only one Dark Lord. To have another Dark Lord as a ruler in a subfaction would constitute a challenge to the One Sith's Dark Lord's supreme power. You have Dark Lord as a rank, meaning there is the potential for more than one usurper.

Also the original Brotherhood of Darkness eliminated the title of Darth (Darth Bane: Path of Destruction) and proclaimed every Sith was equal. Through their teachings they lost the true meaning of what it meant to be Sith, hence the culling by Darth Bane.

I'm not trying to punch holes in your idea....but using the title of Dark Lord teeters on rebellion among the Sith.

As for everything else...it looks good.

One final thought, you should start a PM to include Rev, Matsu, Vrag, and myself in an enclosed setting.

Also I am only starting with Brotherhood of Darkness and in the faction only, darth and such will not exist. Maybe brotherhood names to be given idk yet, so much potinual.

I will pm you guys now.

[member="Darth Valdra"], The brotherhood has two shots to the knees. One its was destroyed by Darth Bane, two the original brotherhood did not allow for their members to carry the title Darth, as Venefica pointed out. Your concept seems fine, its just using the brotherhood to convey it may not be the best option.

You see weaknesses, I see strengths, let me explain my hooded friend how I arrived here.

My character holds one philosophy besides the Sith philosophy, "Conquer the body and the mind, conquer the enemy." The greatest warriors were warriors of ideals, people who rose out of their own personal agendas and fought for something greater. the Spartans fought for the god of war, the samurai fought for the emperor and so on. I wanted to create a faction still apart of the One Sith, but different then the others. The Assassins focus on stealth, the Black Rose focuses on Alchemy, deception, manipulation, and the Force.

The Brotherhood focuses on war and overcoming yourself. In The Brotherhood you will become a warrior who will no longer fear death, but death will fear you, fear will not be a word you use. In the faction and only the faction Darth does not exist, only the Dark Lord himself has a rank, everyone else is a brother. Outside of the faction, ranks exist. What gives you reputation is not your post count, not your rank, not your title, not even your name, but war and accomplishments in war.

Imagine if the Spartan training of the body met the Athans training of the mind and you have The Brotherhood.

OOC wise, it is merely a faction that trains people to fight without the Force, like Mandalorians and to have tactics and stratagy to work as a unit instead of an individual. It also gives people a reason to seek out battles, to give a little side game to Doms and Invasions, like Lord of the Rings where Legolas and Gimli were fighting and keeping count trying to beat each other.

Untrue.

The Assassins focus on killing major enemies of the Sith, stealth or no stealth. They are not ninjas, but warriors who go after one target rather than a massive number.

This doesn't mean they wont carve a path through enemy lines to kill who they have to.

Make a marauder group, rather than the brotherhood exclusively.

A group for warriors to learn how to fight massive numbers. This brotherhood thing doesn't sit too well with many.
