- Short But Stout - The Driller is a small weapon by Draelvasier standards, and it has no unusual or complex features. Consequently, Drillers can easily be produced and replaced in large quantities, and maintenance is a very simple task.
- Rapid Fire - Being a submachine gun, the Driller can release a large quantity of explosive shells in a short timeframe.
- Surprisingly Useful Utility - The Driller's name comes from its rapid firing mechanism which resembles the vibrations of a drill. However, the Driller can also be used as a literal handheld industrial drill, as the weak explosive power of its shells combined with its high rate of fire can create shallow but wide holes in solid rock.
- Spray and Pray - While the Driller's range is fairly decent for a submachine gun, holding down the trigger for any longer than a second can significantly degrade the weapon's already unremarkable accuracy. Consequently, the Driller becomes more effective the closer and larger a target is.
- Sidearm - Being a light submachine gun, the Driller lacks the firepower of a rifle or carbine, and its individual shells are very weak. The Driller's explosive shells also have extreme difficulty penetrating heavy plated armor.
The Driller submachine gun is a Bryn'adûl sidearm with industrial origins.
Its original design came from the downscaling of industrial drilling equipment into a handheld tool utilizing Prime Ore Shells as fuel. However, its destructive potential was soon realized as a military armament as well. As such, the original model was revised to increase the Driller's range while maintaining high firepower and ease of handling.
