- Unit Name: Zealot Minor
- Affiliation: The Bryn’adul
- Classification: Acquisition & Assassination
- Description: Zealot Minors are the basic grunts of the Zealot class, by far the most commonly deployed and most expendable of all Zealots. Despite being heavily armed and armored combatants, Zealot Minors are typically not deployed in the front lines. Instead, they function in a similar sense to the commando units used by many galactic governments, slipping through the enemy vanguard and wreaking havoc on their flanks. As special operatives, Zealot Minors are often given asset retrieval or assassination missions, though priority for the latter task is usually given to Zealot Shadows or Elites due to their greater armament and skill set.

- Combat Function: Zealot Minors serve as the most basic asset retrieval units of the Zealot class of Bryn’adul military unit. Utilizing their limited armament to the best of their capability, numerous squads of Zealot Minors are often utilized to infiltrate enemy positions and soften them up for larger Bryn’adul military groups, sometimes assassinating important enemy figures as well.
- Special Forces: Zealot Minors are trained in the more subtle arts of combat such as infiltration, assassination, and asset retrieval. Consequently, squads of Zealot Minors are capable of performing many specialized, high-value operations that other units such as Brutes would be incapable of.
- Big Boys: As members of the Draelvasier species, Aeravalin and Baedurin Zealot Minors are well-built and can take serious punishment from most opponents.
- Horde Rush: As the most numerous class of Zealot, Zealot Minors can often be deployed on battlefields in considerable quantities.
- Tactical Introversion: Zealot Minors are at their most effective in small groups, away from heavy frontline fighting. If the enemy vanguard detects one or even multiple squads of Zealot Minors, it is likely that the Minors will be torn apart by superior firepower.
- Big Boys: Despite having some infiltration training, the large forms of the Draelvasier make Zealot Minors highly visible and vulnerable to enemies without sufficient cover.
- Grunts: A Zealot Minor, being the lowest ranked Zealot class, is also the least skilled and experienced. In direct combat, a skilled soldier can take advantage of a Minor’s limited armament and training.
Zealot Minors are the basic form of Zealot, a special-forces unit of the Bryn’adul armed forces.
All Zealots start at the rank of Minor, and those who have distinguished themselves in their service rapidly rise to higher positions. Yet for most Zealots, the position of Minor is one that they will hold for a majority of their life.
On top of the combat training almost all Bryn’adul have received from birth, Zealot Minor candidates also undertake one year of a rigorous special forces training camp. The camps are typically led by Zealot Officers and Commanders, whose position comes with such a responsibility. For the first six months of their training, Zealot Minor trainees are given a standardized set of skill training related to infiltration and asset retrieval. However, the remaining six months are given to the Zealot Officers and Commanders to teach their trainees as they see fit. Consequently, many Zealot Minors utilize parts of the combat forms of their instructors in their own battles. Such training is usually so embedded into Zealots that even Zealot Elites and Commanders use combat forms that themselves are a blend of the forms of multiple individuals.
After their year of training, if their performance is deemed satisfactory by their instructors, then the Minor candidates officially become Zealot Minors and gain all associated rights and responsibilities. While many Minors stay Minors for long stretches of time, the road to promotion is clear for those who demonstrate exceptional skill.
