- Explosive Accuracy: The Decimator Rifle is equipped with specialized ammunition made from Draemidus Prime Ore. This allows for rounds fired from the Decimator Rifle to explode, creating a sniper rifle with anti-infantry and anti-vehicle options.
- Setting Variance: The rounds fired by the Decimator Rifle are able to be calibrated to different purposes, allowing for a variety of effects. The explosive nature of the Draemidus Prime Ore can be entirely turned off, turning the fired round into a lethal penetration round. If set to half frequency, the round will still hit its target intact, but will detonate a split second after making contact, allowing it to burrow before detonating. The final setting allows for the round to explode just before it hits its target, creating a shrapnel effect.
- Battlefield: The long range of the rifle is attributed to the special design of the barrel, which runs down the entire length of the weapon rather than just the far end. This extended barrel design allows for greater range and greater accuracy from the weapon.
- Prime Threat: While giving the weapon an undeniable lethality, the Draemidus Prime Ore used in its ammunition poses a threat to the wielder as well. Should the weapon suffer any damage, or be exposed to rapid and sudden movement, it poses the risk of detonating.
- Weight: The sheer size and design of the Decimator Rifle requires the weapon to be carried by two individual warriors, for both weight reasons and safety concerns. This forces the weapon to be used by fire teams in the field, and limits the mobility it has.
- Rate of Fire: The Decimator Rifle has an incredibly low rate of fire, barely able to fire two rounds a minute. This slow firing process is to allow the weapon time to cool off between shots, as to decrease the possibilities of the ammunition detonating from heat during firing. The speed of firing can be increased for a time, but at an ever increasing risk to the user.
The Decimator Rifle was designed by Ungulloi researchers following a request by the Vaydralen military for a new weapon. Designed for use by the Vaydralen elite forces, as well as all Bryn'adul units in the field, the Decimator Rifle is designed to serve as a well rounded weapon in numerous situations. Capable of engaging a variety of targets in numerous different situations, the Decimator Rifle passed its trial phases with only minimal collateral damage, and is prepared to be deployed across the Bryn'adul Empire.
