Worthy Warlord
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
In an attempt to provide a more standard-issue grenade option to the lower-ranking forces of the Bryn'adul, a team of dedicated Ungulloi worked to produce the M20 Sear Grenade. Recognizing the use of incendiaries to indiscriminately clear hostile fortifications, they have become widespread throughout the infantry formations of the Bryn'adul Crusade. They're especially popular among the Baedurin Draelvasier who possess a heat-resistant nature, and for whom the grenades are less dangerous to operate.
While the Sear Grenades were primarily meant to be utilized in order to annihilate hostile strongholds and foxholes, the continued presence of more severely power-armored and strength-equivalent enemy forces on battlefields has led to the Sear Grenades being utilized in order to cook alive the fiercest opponents of the Crusade. As such, it has become a brutal, but effective tool in the growing arsenal of the omnicidal alien force.

- Sticky - The liquids utilized by the Sear Grenade are quite viscous and will attach themselves to cloth, hide, and metal surfaces with ease. This makes it more difficult to remove the fiery substance from one's body.
- Extreme Heat - The fires generated by the Sear Grenade are intense. It is possible for someone to be badly burned simply by being close to an immolated target. As such, the grenades are excellent both for dealing with heavily armored targets and for blocking areas of advance.
- Extinguisher - While the liquids used are highly flammable, a dedicated high-quality extinguisher would be able to turn them from a lethal fire holder to little more than sticky goo. Full Submersion in a body of water is also sufficient for stopping the fire, though the liquids themselves may require significant maintenance to properly remove.
- Collateral - The Sear Grenades are excellent at blocking areas of advance by virtue of their destructive nature. This is less easily reversed. If a soldier wishes to move through an area, then clearing it with a Sear Grenade would be a poor choice. Furthermore, as the grenade is primarily incendiary instead of concussive or explosive, it may continue to cause damage to infrastructure long after it has been thrown.
