STRENGTHS
- Massive Redundancies: The Cairn is built with security and secrecy in mind, even though it is not a military station. To access any part of the station, one must go through layered security checkpoints, pass biological screening, and present proper identification. Covert exploration of the station is next to impossible, and every step a individual takes on the station is carefully monitored.
- Hangars: The Cairn makes use of seven, kilometer long sized hangars around the outer most edges of the rings that make up the station. This allows for entire armadas of vessels to dock at any given time, serving as a key refueling and way station for Bryn'adul fleet. Entire armadas can be refueled and supplied in the span of several hours, allowing for mass movement of Bryn'adul forces across their space.
- Immobile: The Cairn lacks any form of mobility. It was constructed in the location it has always been in, and will always be in. Any potential enemy attack would find the station a tempting target, unable to escape any concentrated threat to it.
The Cairn is a recent construction of the Bryn'adul Empire, and its purpose is as strange as its sudden and unannounced entry to the galactic stage. One day, Bryn'adul naval captains were suddenly informed of a new refueling station located within The Maw, seemingly built overnight. The massive size of the construct belied this thought however, but all those who attempted to look into the stations sudden appearance soon came to lose interest. A few even came to lose themselves, as accidents are such unfortunate, and alarmingly common for those who try to investigate the origins of The Cairn.
The massive station is built with several colossal rings extending out from a central spire like construct. Each of these rings are elevated to a slightly different plane in space, allowing for starship traffic to flow freely to each ring without getting in the way of another. Massive hangars are located in these rings, each one capable of holding fleets of Star Destroyer sized vessels. Each hangar is adjacent to an equally massive cargo warehouse, and crews work day and night to offload empty containers and bring aboard fresh supplies, ammunition, and living creatures for the Bryn'adul navy.
At the heart of the station is a massive spire like construct. The spire itself is actually dozens of smaller spires all forming around a central base, but appear to be a single disjointed design. Inside this section of the station are massive breeding chambers, each one capable of housing creatures that dwarf even Imperial AT-AT walkers in size. Lab upon lab focused on research and development for these breeding chambers, and the secrets held within this part of The Cairn are the most coveted for those who seek to understand the station, and the most closely guarded secret.
