- Description: The Vaydralen Wraith are the most elite members of the Centurion Corp, themselves all elite members of the Vaydralen military. They wear all black armor, eschewing the usual coloring scheme that allows Vaydralen warriors to display their Clan colors. They bear no distinguishable markings, instead focusing on being able to blend in with the darkness as they operate almost exclusively during the night. These warriors operate in small squads, usually no more than four or five, to give them a greater chance at evading enemy patrols and slip through to their targets unseen and undetected.

- Combat Function: The Vaydralen Wraith are the most elite of the elite units within the Vaydralen military. Chosen from the top one percent of the Vaydralen Reapers, the Vaydralen Wraiths take the tactical function of the Centurion Corp to the final level. Rather than deploying in the heat of battle like the rest of the Centurion Corp, the Wraiths are deployed ahead of the beginning of a battle. They are deployed using single use drop pods which burn up during entry into a planets atmosphere. The Wraiths deploy from these pods just before they are burned away, using jetpacks to land on the ground safely. The elimination of their pods allows the Wraiths to erase any trace of their arrival to a target zone, and gives them the element of surprise. Once on the ground, the Wraiths will move out to begin striking preplanned targets. Power generators, shield emplacements, weapons and ammunition depots will all be silenced. Even leading military and civilian officials could be targets of the Wraith squads as they seek to weaken the enemy defenses, morale, and potential to fight long before the first Bryn'adul warships are seen in orbit.
- Shadows: The Vaydralen Wraiths are well trained and equipped to be able to move through enemy territory without a trace. This allows them to have the element of surprise in almost every engagement they enter, and decades of training and combat experience allows them to exploit every opportunity.
- Arsenal: The Vaydralen Wraiths come equipped with weapons to engage targets at a wide variety of ranges as well as a wide variety of targets. They can deploy the right weapon for the job in most situations, and overwhelm their target.
- Numbers: Each Vaydralen Wraith squad is mad up of at most five soldiers, and while each is a superbly trained and elite fighter, they are only five. In large scale battles, they can become easily surrounded and outflanked should their targets survive the opening clash, and battles of attrition will quickly wear down their ranks.
- Limited Ordinance: While they have a varied arsenal, the nature of their deployment and need for speed limits the amount of munitions they can carry in battle. They must use their weapons sparingly, and every wasted shot could potential be a lethal problem down the line.
The Vaydralen Wraiths are a recent development in the Bryn'adul military. Created under the instruction of leading Draelvasier special forces, the Vaydralen Wraiths were created to fill a tactical niche that was becoming more and more important. While the Bryn'adul military is still lethal in their frontal assaults, the powers of the galaxy have learned. No longer are they caught by surprise when the Bryn'adul warfleets arrive in their systems, and the overwhelming assaults of the past are coming to be increasingly countered by their foes. The Wraiths were created to solve the problem of an unbreakable force striking an unmoving object.
