- Fast Tracked Turrets: The Caçadores-Class has been equipped with improved tracks for its turrets, meaning its ordinance outside of the fixed missile and torpedo emplacements can quickly shift, aim and return fire with little in the way of lag time.
- Improved Engines: The engines aboard the Caçadores have been provided improved engines, allowing it to be able to out run most vessels its size and higher.
- MK.IV Fire Control System: A targeting computer which coordinates all weapons aboard a vessel to fire at once in a devastating barrage.
- Concentrated Bombardment: Due to the concentration of weapons positioned at the Caçadores' fore, a volley could potentially frustrate point defence systems and allow for a clean blast through both hull and shield.
- Pursuer: Advanced engines ensure that the Caçadores is an agile hunter able to out run and out manoeuvre most vessels of its size. \
- Quick Draw: While its heavier payloads like the concussion missile and proton torpedo batteries are trapped at the fore of the Caçadores, its turbolasers, megamasers, point defence guns and ion batteries all have fast tracks, allowing for accurate targeting of fast moving enemies or to alternatively compensate for its speed and perform 'drive bys'
- Fat Bottomed Girl: The large and powerful engines that enable to the Caçadores to be so powerful are also its undoing. They are vulnerable to a concerted attack which would rob of her of her primary defensive advantages.
- Anti-Fighter Duty: while most corvettes its size are designated anti-fighter hitters, the Caçadores struggles against them in any meaningful way. While it may be able to swat at a few of them, most fighters.
- Flanking Fire: Other than some mine layers and turrets with range to the flank, the Caçadore struggles with targets pursuing it. Rather relying upon its speed and agility to out run the enemy.
- Wide Turns: Manouverability has been cut on the Caçadores, meaning when it turns, it's typically a wide arc rather than a quick, concentric cut through the void.
The Caçadores-Class corvette is a vessel design effectively stolen from the old First Order. In regards to both doctrinal use and the vessels design. Taken from the Chasseur-Class Corvette designed by Grand Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber, the Caçadores makes a number of improvements on account of its lower production. This allows for more specialisation in regards to the speed and armament of the vessel which unfortunately compromises a more in depth defensive scheme and the manoeuvrability of the vessel.
The Caçadores is a vessel designed to perform lightning fast hit and run type attacks on far larger targets. Using superior speed the Caçadores is supposed to fly close to a larger enemy vessel, use its MK.VI computer to coordinate a single, concentrated volley of fire at a hostile hard point with enough power to frustrate defences and then escape and avoid most of the enemy's returning fire. However there are some drawbacks which are shared with the Chasseur.
Both Caçadores and Chasseur are vessels whose engines are exposed. And while the Caçadores does improve on turrets and have a few ready, along with mine layers primed to obfuscate enemy fire but against dogged attackers this is a fools errand. On top of that, the engines of the Caçadores are vulnerable to extended enemy attack, and if disabled or significantly damaged would rob the vessel of its advantage. The Caçadores is also a vessel not well equipped against enemy fighters. While it may be able to hold its own against a squadron or two, a concerted effort by bombers could crush the Caçadores. On top of that, speed over manoeuvrability has been prioritised. This means turning or avoiding obstacles at high speeds becomes something of an issue.
Overarchingly however, there are few warships in the Galaxy able to match the speed and armament of the Caçadores given its size. And when equipped in pack-like formations, the Caçadores can be quite the troublesome adversary.
