The Calling [Darth Ferus]

250px-Fresia.jpg
Fresia was a massive island based planet that, a mysterious message had drawn him to. It had been many months since Pheroth had set out in his journey to find out more about his abilities. Somehow word of his ventures had gotten to some people. And while he knew he should be very careful of mysterious strangers sending him messages to meet him in very specific locations. Well. He was desperate at this point. His searches lead him practically nowhere. So he decided that this was his only option.

Before setting out from his home planet, Pheroth had bought a fairly decent and somewhat old YT series ship. It had been transporting him to wherever he needed to be. Planet after planet searching for someone with the abilities to teach him how to control and master his abilities. Finally when this stranger reached out to him, he felt a sense of relief.

When he finally arrived on one of the main islands of the planet, Pheroth had his ship stored away with payment for the next few days. He had arrived far earlier than he needed to just to get the lay of the land. Renting out a hotel that was close to the meeting point for the next few days, Pheroth adventured out to see if maybe the one who had sent him the invitation here was somehow there. But days passed and nothing happened.

The only thing Pheroth could think to do to keep himself busy was to sit in his hotel room, studying other pieces of information connected to the Force and its ways. In fact, he even focused on his ability to move objects some more. It was almost perfected, he hardly even needed to use his hand as an output. And that was his goal; to obtain mastery over the Force by simply willing what he desired. Finally it was the day he was to meet the man.

Arriving near the basin early in the morning, Pheroth sat and waited. And as time grew on, he became bored and began to juggle a few loose rocks on the ground just by staring at them. It was entertaining for a while but even that grew boring and he let them drop, and continued waiting for his meeting.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"No no, dont stop. That was entertaining." A voice sounded off behind [member="Pheroth Lisenthri"] . Ferus stood there, both arms crossed over his chest as he simply watched. But now that the show was over, he had chosen to speak up. "But ah well I suppose. I guess we can finally chat." Red eyes narrowed on the boy, as if angrily. They softened pretty quick as a warm smile took over the mans features.

"Names Ferus. Glad you made it."

Pheroth rose up to greet the man. His face was straight but with the hint of a grin, as his face always was. The man was taller than the white haired young man. But he wasn't that intimidated. In fact, he was very happy to meet the man. "I am Pheroth Lisenthri. Pleased to meet you," he said. He placed his right hand across his waist and crossed his feet, his left hand extending out as he bowed. It was a very polite greeting from his culture. "I have been searching for someone to train me in the Force. I have studied it very extensively. The history of its use, its meaning and the events in history that it had a very major effect on. I do know that I am Force sensitive and have began testing my abilities as you saw moments ago."

The power radiating from this man in front of Pheroth was tangible. He could feel it. "Can you help me master my abilities and go beyond the power I have?" he asked with a dark smile. This was the moment he had been waiting for. His life could change drastically.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"No."

The answer was simple. The explanation, not so much. With a smile still on his lips Ferus began to pace, both hands clasped behind his back. "I am Sith. We Sith have a simple belief, that we will break our chains. I can show you a path, but you will have to walk it yourself. Understood?"

He spoke with an unnatural authority, but the reason was clear. "I'll give you the tools, you have to use them yourself. Deal?"

[member="Pheroth Lisenthri"]

"I understand," he said, still smiling. But it wasn't a smile that said he was pleased. Though, admittedly he was, he also had a look to him that said he could snap at any time. But Pheroth kept his emotions in check knowing that the man in front of him could end his life in the matter of seconds. "Then let us begin. There's no time like the present. If you so please, master," that last word Pheroth drew out, in almost a hiss. The sadistic smile that was painted on his face grew ever so wider.

Pheroth was ready to begin. He had waited long enough to find someone like this. It was time for Pheroth to break his chains. To find freedom. And he had heard of the Sith during his studies. He knew what they stood for and he was excited to be a part of the organization that was the source of so much power and resources.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"Indeed, there isn't." Ferus nodded along with [member="Pheroth Lisenthri"] before pulling out a smooth cylinder. "Do you know what this is?" Without waiting for an answer, the man flicked a switch, and a red blade shout out. "A lightsaber. Do you know how to use one?" Another question without a wait for an answer. The cylinder, with the blade deactivating thankfully, was tossed to the boy.

"Whether you do or not doesn't matter. I will show you how a Sith handles it."

Pheroth's face grew serious as Ferus started in on his questions without answers. And as soon as he saw the saber come out, grew excited. He had seen them many, many times during his studies. These weapons had huge affects on most of the history of the galaxy. They were lethal when put in the right hands. And, as it was tossed to him, his excitement peeked. Though he still kept it all inside. The blade seemed simple. A novice tool. But still deadly if used right. Even the simplest of sabers were. And this was his first. Carefully, he hit the button, unleashing the blade. He kept his hands steady, finding how the weight of the blade worked. It was light and agile, a very smooth feeling as he slightly waved it back and forth.

"Unfortunately I do not know how to use it. But I imagine with someone like you teaching me, I think that that issue shouldn't last too much longer," he said. The blade was a sweet red that thirsted to let leash even more red. But the second type of red would be much more darker.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"Then there's a couple things you should know. First, the blade is weightless, as im sure you've noticed. Second, the blade can and will cut through anything it comes in contact with, save for a couple rarer materials. This includes you. Dont toy with it, or you'll find yourself a limb short. Lastly, it doesn't actually cut. It burns through. So any hope for spilling blood is wasted here."

Though he didn't know [member="Pheroth Lisenthri"] was thinking about it, he remembered his own first saber. He had hoped to spill quite a bit of blood, though that hope was dashed early on. "As for the lesson, come. Attack me." A flick of the wrist and the Sith's own saber would come into his hand. The peculiar flat bladed sword sprang to life with a snap hiss, and it's golden blade would wave about slightly, loose in its masters hands. "If you've used a blade before, think of it like that. Begin!"

Pheroth inwardly gave a sigh of relief. A training blade. It souldn't actually hurt himself, or his master. Though it was not likely that he would be able to hurt his master anyways. This was the first time Pheroth had ever laid hands on a blade of any sort. Sure he'd handled the odd knife here or there, but nothing major. Taking a moment to focus on his balance, he spread his feet and kept them in a nice square formation, one of them on one corner, and the other on the opposite corner. With not much else to prepare himself, he moved forward, as quick as he could. His speed was not slow, as he was tall and limber. The leather clothing was light wait and moved with almost no restriction. The first slash was a vertical one, aimed toward the shoulder. The next two were quick strikes aimed at the waist. His hands were trembling, trying to familiarize himself with the blade.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

Ferus was quick. His blade was brought up to catch @Pheroth Lisenthri own blade, grinning. He couldn't help but grin as it began. The boy was shaky though, something that would hzbe to be improved on. As the next attacks came the man knocked them away with the skill one would expect from a sword wielder like him.

"Steady that grip. It is a part of you. Remember that."

Pheroth took a deep breath, steadying himself. This was his first time fighting and his nerves were on an all time high. The knowledge that either of these blades cut instantly severe one of their limbs (more likely his) was terrifying. But everyone had to start somehow, so he grabbed his saber hard, slowing the movements to keep it more stable before he launched his next attack. The red of his saber flashed as he went up from Ferus' waist across to the shoulder on the opposite side. Quickly, he retreaded a bit before launching again, aiming a horizontal slice directly at his waist before quickly switching to another slice up high towards the shoulder.

The pair would continue like this for some time. Whenever [member="Pheroth Lisenthrîl"] would feel tired, a burst of energy would fill him. Perhaps itnwas the location, or perhaps Ferus was controlling more than just where the blades would strike. Eventually Ferus would begin shouting out directions, where to strike, how hard, footing position. This would be hours on hours of just training, neither able to get tired. The boy wanted to learn, and the Sith was more than willing to make it so.

The battle continued raging as the two men fought. The lesser of the two still trying to manage his blade, was slowly improving. The battle seemed to keep going for what felt like hours but was probably less. As [member="Darth Ferus"] began calling commands, Pheroth instantly conformed to him and did his best to keep doing the things he said to. And for the most part he was successful besides catching himself on a few minor things. Finally he broke away from Ferus. "I think that should cover the basics," he said taking a ragged breath. He felt pretty confident in what he had learned. "What do you say we start with the advanced stuff." A wicked smile popped up on Pheroth's face. He wanted to learn the stuff that really got somewhere in a battle.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"I wouldn't say advanced so much a focus. There are countless ways to use a blade, but without a focus, you may as well swing around a twig at your opponent." Casually Ferus stepped back, red eyes looking [member="Pheroth Lisenthrîl"] over. He caught on quick, which was wonderful. These basics were boring to the Sith Lord. But of course, he needed to show patience. Coruscant wasn't built in a day afterall. The golden blade rested in the Lords right hand, dangling close to the ground in a loose grip. Red eyes flashed with what only could be described as passion.

"Juyo, aptly named the Sith Form. Pure aggression. Using your passion to its fullest, smashing your target again and again until they are simply no more. Ruthless, powerful, and sometimes reckless. Little defense at the trade of pure offense. I think this would fit you well. Feel your anger boy. Feel your hate. Your passion. Let it flow into you, power your strikes, speed up your actions, increase your strength. Do you understand what I mean?" It may not be that simple to understand, but Ferus wasn't sure how easy this would come to the boy. But once it did, it could become a powerful tool of any Sith.

Such was the way of Juyo after all.

Juyo. The word played around in the mind of the aspiring Sith. It sounded like exactly the kind of thing that would be well for him to learn. But he wasn't so sure about the rest of what Ferus had said. "I have studied what is known as the Sith Code. I have also studied the Jedi Code. Though that was purely for informational value. But I don't quite know if I understand the meaning of it all. And I guess that will be the key to obtaining true power."

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"The Sith Code is the foundation of oower, and it would be good if you learned it first, true." Slowly the man lowered his blade, nodding once in response.

"Peace is a lie. There is only passion.
Through Passion, I gain strength.
Through Strength, Power.
Through Power, Victory.
Through Victory, my chains are broke.
The Force will set you free."

Red eyes looked over [member="Pheroth Lisenthrîl"] for a moment. Did he understand it right from the beginning? Or perhaps he didn't. Either way, he would continue.

"Peace is stagnation. Only through the desire to be better can we become stronger. By becoming stronger, we become more powerful. Able to stand on our own. Win. Achieve victory. With this victory over ourselves and others, we can find ourselves no longer chained. Free. Finally free from torment. But only through the Force. Only through passion. Understand?"

A low growl of satisfaction emitted from Pheroth. The words that Ferus had said are exactly what he had been looking for in life. Freedom and strength. The strength to be whatever he wanted. The freedom to be whoever he wanted. Just through the words, Pheroth felt the kind of power he would be able to obtain from this path of life. "Then, Master Ferus. Let us be set...free." The last word was drawn out. The power her felt from just the words was invigorating. "Let us learn Juyo. Help me channel my hate. My anger. And teach me how to crush my enemies. Teach me how to set their souls free from the life that binds them."

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"Good, good. You feel that hate? That power? Use it. Focus it. Let it control your movements, yet at the same control your hate. Dont let it control your mind. Juyo is random, powerful. But do not become blind." The golden blade flicked up once again, pointing directly at [member="Pheroth Lisenthrîl"] . "Come at me."
