The Coin.

While I personally adore the idea of phylacteries and would love to see more of them everywhere, I admit I am slightly confused as to the purpose of this one. The idea behind it is to "sever" the owners connection and thus make him undetectable by his aura and / or said connection, no? But at the same time I assume this is meant to be carried with in infiltration and assassination operations, correct? Then wouldn't one be able to detect the coin carried on his owner through the usual means, doubly so since I assume someone of high expertise and skill as Ferus would have a particularly strong connection, and either reveal him regardless or, even worse, have it confiscated?

The radiance of the coin itself would be an issue, as mentioned by others before. Of course, he could simply lock it away should he want to hide as an NFU.

If I don't recall wrong, Force Light can cleanse alchemical items of their effects, so be careful around that.

Ferus is surprisingly bad at hiding his signature. Sure, he can shrink it down, but that takes a lot of concentration. This way he can be anywhere without needing to concentrate. As for the coin, yup. It will indeed give off an aura. But all Sith Swords tend to do that anyway, so it can easily be explained. Sides, I like having such a crippling weakness for Ferus.

Ah, so it's not meant to be taken on operations then! I see, I see. In that case I honestly adore it but, as I said previously, I'm biased when it comes to phylacteries. Out of curiosity since I'm not that well versed in the subject, seeing as Ferus is practically a Lord and a highly experienced user of the Force, I assume his own radiance is somewhat distinct from that of others. If he were to lose it or have it stolen by someone who has no actual connection, would it not corrupt them over time and draw them back towards Ferus? Something akin to a Vampire's thrall, for lack of better examples.

I was actually planning on it doing nothing with anyone unless they were Ferus. But the corruption idea is pretty neat! I don't think I'll do it just so its a solid weakness for Ferus, but I like it none the less.

Ferus wouldn't keep it in some Assassin base .p. But if you were to steal from a certain someone I'm sure you could stumble upon it.

Props for sticking with the original vision and its downsides then, I can respect that. Taking another look over the submission again, the only thing I could honestly criticize would be the lack of a proper description for how the coin looks, if it has any special markings or engravings etched onto it or if it is a simple circular piece of metal to the common eye. Just as well if there is any special method of transportation or storage, say whether or not it is used as an amulet wrapped around the bearer's neck or something one keeps within their pocket and so on. But even then that would mostly be nitpicking I feel.

Overall, love it. Good job.

I was going to use the image as the only real description, but you are correct in that its lacking. When I get the chance I'll be certain to flesh out that bit more. Thanks for the feedback though!

So...

A question that likely needs to be asked is: if its stolen, does the thief have access to the power? Ie, so long as anyone is holding it they have Ferus' power?
