- Description: The Concinnant Valleys are a huge valley formation brought about by plate shifting before the crust, basically ripping the surface of the planet apart and causing many new volcanoes to form. All of this happened many years before Tythe became settled, most if not all the magma vents becoming blocked, though the land still remained black and lifeless, even more so then the rest of the world. Many mieral deposits are scattered throughout this valley network.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- Concinnant Urbs: The capital city of the region and one of the largest factories on the planets surface being one of the main producers of armored vehicles and other weapons not made by the skilled Mecahnicus. It is quite defensibly populated but it's main use in arms manufacturing has drawn quite the many alien species skilled in metal works.
- Ferris Ridge: One of the main surface mine in the region that a majority of metal is obtained from, not able to rival The Great Peaking Range it provides a much needed boots. The Tythish people learning to use any available recourse they have to minimize the need for importing goods.
- Factorum Flats: An immense line of factories stretching along the entire length of the regions old fault line. These factories take advantage of the geothermal heat to power the arms works and provide heat for different machines and purposes.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
It is not pricey known when this valley formed, but it was most likely around the same time that The Great Peaking Range came into existence with the massive plate shifting under ground. The result was a huge fault line fracture in the ground which gave birth to hundreds of volcanoes and open magma vents. Like the open wound on a man the lava eventually cooled and formed new rocky ground on the valley floors, depositing many more useful minerals for the settlers to use. In addition the geothermal heat and old magma vents while naturally blocked up could easily be reignited with modern technology.
This has made the new valley region ideal place for factories to be produced, though it had not been to big a mining operation due to the risks of fully opening up the ground and releasing another volcanic eruption. As such mining is done with care and in small sections at a time, thus leading to TGPR to be the main sources of metals for the factories (along with imported goods). Concinnant is also the main producer of Tythish military craft and more basic fire arms, from large tanks and space craft to small slug thrower weapons, which has lead to most of the population being of different aliens species skilled in the art of crafting.
