- Description:
- The Coruscanti Pius Dea is a Hummanocentric Religious Organization that seeks to spread the religion of the Goddess across the galaxy either through missionary work or direct conquest using the Faithful. They can trace their origins back to the Original Pius Dea, who ruled over the Galactic Republic for thousands of years before being defeated and exterminated. They hold an uncompromising belief that the Outer Rim is in need of purification and that Coruscant should rightfully be underneath their control.

- Domain:
- Outposts within the Outer Rim Territories which provide suitable donations to the Pius Dea.

- Banks
- Hierarchy:
- The Goddess
- The Goddess is the Main Deity of the Pius Dea and is considered the Overall Head of the Organization
- Grand Vicar
- The Grand Vicar is the Spiritual Leader of the Pius Dea. It is them who actually controls the Coruscanti Pius Dea as the Goddess's Chosen Vessel.
- Cardinal
- The Cardinals are the Senior Membership of the Pius Dea, with the esteemed rank being granted to members who have shown fanatic devotion to the Goddess and serve as protectors of her faith. If the Grand Vicar should perish either through natural causes or being killed. One of these cardinals will be elected to replace them.
- College of Prince-Bishops
- The College of Prince-Bishops are the assembly body of the Pius Dea and elevation to such a position can be considered the Highest Honor bestowed. They are responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Organization and each planetary sect within their sphere of influence. Prince-Bishops who control territory either as Governors or Senior Members of Planetary Governments may apply for Prince-Bishopric status which will give them additional clout at the assembly sessions.
- Archbishops and Bishops
- Archbishops and Bishops are individuals from the Conveyer Class who have been granted permission to run planetary churches and monasteries on various worlds underneath the careful guidance of the Prince-Bishops. Starting out as Bishops for a considerable number of years within the Pius Dea, they can raise their status to an Archbishop by several means such as converting a large populace to the religion or paying quite a large sum to the College.
- Conveyer
- The Conveyers are the regular priests and clergymen who have neither direct influence or territory they control. They are mainly responsible for offering religious services and expanding the religion through missionary work across planets that are deemed to harbor heretics and non-believers.
- Faithful
- The Faithful are the lowest rung in the Organization but no less important. They are the followers of the Goddess and serve in her name either in direct battle or standing watch over the Church's various estates and churches across the Outer Rim. Serving underneath the Command of Religious Commissars designed to root out heretics and apostates.
- The Goddess
- Membership:
- Intelligence Sources had indicated that the Coruscanti Pius Dea has approximately 1,000,000 members spread out across the galaxy on various worlds. To become a member of the Pius Dea Faith one must repent for their sins with a Conveyer present and are branded with the mark of the Goddess in order to insure their loyalty.
- Climate:
- The Pius Dea is a climate of paranoia and fanaticism. Members of a more alien origin are watched constantly for they are deemed impure even if they have repented as required. This hostility can be traced back to the previous Pius Dea Crusades which rocked the galaxy during the Pius Dea Era of the Galactic Republic and the current Grand Vicar has not yet squashed this belief amongst the organization.
- Reputation:
- The Coruscanti Pius Dea are regarded with immense distrust by planetary governments as their missionaries often interfere in their affairs. Their immense devotion causes them to break laws that are against their belief system and can be seen attacking alien species for impurity. Although often the governments are weary of offending them due to their ever growing influence.
- Curios:
- The Ring of Pius
- The Rings of Pius indicate which planetary church one belongs. The rings can be silver or gold but have the church emblem on them and the name of the local sect inscribed upon them.
- The Ring of Pius
- Rules:
- The Common Laws are the official rules of the Reformed Pius Dea. They state very clearly that many alien species are "unredeemable" due to inferiority and the threat that they pose to Human Civilizations. They view military conflict as crusades against the unworthy in the ultimate intention to gain spiritual merit and purification. Although despite their humancentric outlook, the Pius Dea is more than willing to accept alien converts if they are wealthy or well contacted and even having traits deemed useful to their cause
- Goals:
- The Main Goal of the Coruscanti Pius Dea is to reclaim their former capital of Coruscant from believed heretics and expand their religion across all corners of the galaxy either through force or diplomacy.
Contispex XX Bernardus - Grand Vicar of the Coruscanti Pius Dea
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Coruscanti Pius Dea was just until recently a scattered band of isolationist sects that weren't eliminated by the Galactic Republic after their victory over the Orginal Pius Dea centuries ago. A renegade Ashlan Crusader tired of the constant prayer to the Light Side of the Force of Ashla and their fanatic devotion to elimination of Bogan found a potent manuscript belonging to the Original Pius Dea Organization on an ancient cathedral ship. The Crusader was interested in the manuscript and converted from the Faith of Ashla to the Faith of the Goddess, changing his formal name to Contispex the Twentieth and rallying the other sects into a formidable religious cult now bent on restoring their influence on Coruscant and eventually taking it back to found a New Holy Empire.
