  • Custom Designed for Bounty Hunting: The ship is a specially modified, unique vessel to suit the needs of a bounty hunter.
  • Pursuer: The Crossfire is designed for pursuit and attack, so its main abilities revolve around tracking and taking down/subduing other ships mostly of similar/smaller size.
  • Alusteel plating: The hull and rear of the ship are plated in Alusteel, making them extremely resistant to attacks even without the help and protection of deflector shields.
  • Force-users beware: The ship has a bay designed to properly subdue the abilities of a Force-user thanks to the presence of a small, artificial Ysalmiri inhabitat and the addition of two Universal Energy Cages.
  • Well Equipped: The ship has an adequate, capable array of weapons and defenses since it is meant for confrontation.

  • Flanks: Unlike the hull and rear, the flanks of the ship are composed of a metal weaker than Alusteel and are more frail to attacks.
  • Weaponized front: Since The Crossfire is designed to pursue other vessels, most of its weaponry is arranged towards the front of the ship, leaving the rear somewhat unprotected and thus staying behind of it is a good way of avoiding the major dangers of its armament.
  • Suited for space: The Crossfire's maneuverability is notably reduced when inside an atmosphere, the ship is best suited for space.
  • Full potential: Though the majority of its weapons can be controlled through the computer systems or with the aid of a droid, to unlock the full potential of the ship another pair of sentient hands is needed to handle the weapons. Because of this the ship is never at its full potential unless its owner, Sidon Eshe, brings along someone to aid him.

Soon after the inauguration of its branch base in Coruscant, Kryss Industries received a request for a custom-designed ship by one Sidon Eshe, a bounty hunter seeking a vessel that could suit the needs of someone in his profession. Knowing that the most important qualities for a ship destined for such a task were fighting/pursuing potential and bounty-holding, Kryss Industries decided to modify the model of a Marauder-class Corvette, creating a ship of similar qualities but smaller in its size.

The Crossfire's main characteristics reside in its armament, its navigation technology and the specially designed bay meant to hold potential bounties or prisoners. The bay has only one way inside and out and contains a small artificial habitat that houses a couple of Ysalmiri specimens and a nutrient tree that nourishes them. The force-negating bubbles of the Ysalmiri are enough to cover the area of this chamber only, rendering force-users unable of tapping into their powers.

The vessel is also distinguished by its advanced navigating systems that allow it to track other ships and has an array of sensors, all serving the purpose if keeping the bounty-hunter one step ahead of his competition. The downside to the pursuing abilities of the Crossfire is that in in turn, the ship was not designed with the thought of another ship hunting it, and thus its rear and flanks are weaker and less heavily armed than its front.

As it stands, this ship is extremely overpowered. I suggest a new set of ratings to ensure balance:

Armament: Moderate
Defences: High
Hangar: Average (0)
Maneuverability: Average
Speed: Average

I agree with the suggestion. However, I'd like to keep the Speed rating as is since the purpose of this ship is being a pursuer, for which speed is a necessary quality. If this would be acceptable I'll make the requested edits to the rest of the ratings. Otherwise I'd like to see if there is another possible route to keep the Speed as is while not heavily prejudicing the remaining stats (which would be the ones you have suggested).

Edit the other ratings and just make speed moderate, then. It'll still be faster than most of the ships on this board.
