The dark centre of the universe…

Bathed in an eerie blue-green glow due to the strange nature of the sun, Maja rather enjoyed the strangeness of this world. Her recent ability to connect to the Force meant she was able to feel the Dark-side energies everywhere. The very planet seemed corrupted by it.

Byss was a planet in the Deep Coresituated at the end of the Byss Run, a heavily guarded artificial hyperlane. By contrast the world was lush and fertile world and it was at the end of one of the chains of lakes that she had agreed to meet [member="Hera Naroix"] here.

She had been trained by the Witches of Dathomir and was currently with the Sith, so Maja figured she was a useful ally as she looked to gain a greater knowledge of Dark-sided magic. She sat on the end of the ramp of her ship and awaited her partner-in-crime to arrive.

As she sat, fiddling with her red curls, she reflected on how her sister would react. She’d suggested they go on a mission soon to locate a long-lost holocron and wondered what skills she might be able to learn to use on the ice-planet.

Hera sat in a planetary transport ship, having no clue what make or even the company it worked for. Staring at her bloody nails, she reflected on how she had gotten a free luxury ride such as this: three dead bodies behind her seat pointed this out to any uneducated enough. Currently on the way to Byss, Hera was wondering whom it was that sought her out: thus she was clad in a light armorweave suit, with a durasteel compact shield and all of her wits about her. It could be a random event, such as someone wishing to talk to her in private, but it still could be other wise.

Yawning, she finally looked up from the beautifully manicured set, to stare out the window at the skyline that grew in size as they descended. Unbuckling her seat, the Polydroxol rose and moved towards the rear of the ship calling out, "Remember; if you contact the police of any planet about this, I have multiple allies that will slay you alongside your entire family!"

Stepping onto soft grass, Hera looked about for the one who wanted her attentions.

Maja looked up as the ship landed. She had no description of the woman she was due to meet but the amourweave suit and the flowing blonde locks were surely a giveaway. The shield was almost too much of a clue.

Her own dress was by contrast understated. OK, it was a glistaweb dress, one of many her sister had given her, but to a casual observer it was simply a pretty garment.

So she stood and acknowledged the newcomer. She hadn't worked out what the quid pro quo was in this relationship - she understood she could receive some training and wondered what the woman would ask for in return.

Hera sensed eyes upon her, something she had become well versed in knowing at the most opportune times, so she turned and faced the woman. Staring at her much less battle prepared body, she wondered if that was the one she was supposed to come to. Tapping into the Force for a moment, she did her very best to will the energy into telling its secrets: and caught a brief vision of the woman before her learning her Spells and the like. So it was training that had brought her there.

Muttering a soft chant as she started walking towards the girl, she continued until she was barely a few feet away then simply vanished from sight. Moving around, as silent as she could, until she stood directly behind the woman, Hera than dropped her hold over the spell, "I am guessing this is a training venture? I am usually less apt to teaching, but you seem to be the one the Force wants to learn, and I could use some allies.

"I will not take any under my tutelage to the extent of the Master and student extreme, but I ask of the same basics. If I teach, you listen, and if I ever need your help that you come to my aid. If you agree to this I will teach you everything...than again I am bored. So if you dont agree I still just may teach you anyways."

Maja was aware she was being appraised - and she was used to it. With a sister as powerful as hers, people were always keen to compare. In truth their Force powers were poles apart. One was a Sith Lord, the other was barely an Apprentice.

And as she approached the woman disappeared. Maja was unsure if this was a show of prowess or a sign that she was being cautious - but the ability was one that got her attention immediately. When the voice came from behind her, Maja stifled the desire to turn and did her best to act unsurprised. But then she'd already seen enough of the Force not to be shocked by anything.

"I appreciate your candour. I do not seek a Master, my sister has already filled that void. But to prove my worth to her, I wish to learn something of the Force so that I may demonstrate I am worthy of her attention. It seems I am Vahla, and the Force flows though me as it does my sister. I will listen and if you are worthy of my help, I shall come to your aid. I will learn whatever you will teach me and in turn, if I come into knowledge that is useful to you, I will share it. I feel we have an agreement, yes?"

(Kark. Didnt get this tag. Sorry for takin so long and that this is such a short post)

Hera smiled to the woman's back, "Sounds fine to me. So, before I can teach, I must ask, what it is you know already, plus what you with to learn from a Sith Witch." She said, folding her lithe arms across her chest without much attitude, per her normal custom.

(No worries at all)

Maja looked the woman up and down. She was to the point to the risk of being blunt. Maja liked this trait in people. You knew where you stood with them. The more words someone used the easier it was to hide a lie in there somewhere.

"I know nothing other than some theory. I know about the Witches and the Nightsisters and broadly about the Sith. I can use the Dark-side when I'm really angry but without control - and typically only in a destructive way." She remembered the men with the broken necks. "And I seem to be gifted with Farseeing - although this is also uncontrolled and tends to only happen when I sleep. And I have some strange bond with my sister. We can communicate through dreams and I also often see where she is or what she's doing. But as you've already guessed, none of this is a conscious decision - it just happens to me."

Maja saw no value in lying. She wanted to know everything this woman would teach her and it didn't matter how basic the learning was - she would soak it up like a sponge. "As to what I want to learn? I want to know it all." There was a fire in her eyes when she said this.
