    • Dark Legion (Daeux Los'ar)
    • Glorious Horde (Grau'ait Haubo)
  • Classification: Elective Nomadic Confederation
  • Affiliation:
  • Army Symbol: The symbol of the Dark Legion is a pair of two angular horseshoe geometric shapes, one located within the order, and colored metallic red. This symbol is frequently featured on the armor of its warriors, on the hull of its vehicles, and on the banners flown wherever the Legion treads.
  • Description: The Dark Legion is not a conventional military force but a feral war machine, a relentless tide of Graug warriors, Sith-spawned horrors, and bio-mechanical monstrosities. It is a vast nomadic horde, forged in endless war and brutality, thriving on conquest, slaughter, and destruction. Unlike the disciplined armies of empires and republics, the Dark Legion operates under the law of strength, where only the most ruthless and powerful rise to command, and the weak are crushed beneath their heel.

This army is not bound by military doctrine or strategic restraint, it is a force of annihilation, driven by the unshakable will of its warlords and the insatiable hunger of its warriors. Their ranks are composed of Graug shock troops, monstrous hybrids, massive siege beasts, and war machines infused with Sith alchemy, each one an instrument of destruction honed for war. Wherever they march, worlds burn, civilizations crumble, and the air is thick with the stench of blood and fire.

To those who face them, the Dark Legion is a nightmare given form, unstoppable, merciless, and utterly devoted to the will of the Kainate's Dark Lords. Their warfare is total, their methods brutal, and their legacy one of ashes and ruin.

Entire civilizations have been erased under the monstrous advance of Graug warriors and their horrific war beasts, leaving nothing but smoldering ruins and fields of the dead. Few armies can stand against their relentless brutality without suffering devastating losses, and most who do choose instead to flee rather than face the horrors the Legion brings.

Among the Sith and their allies, the Dark Legion is viewed with both reverence and wariness. While their strength is undeniable and their loyalty absolute, their sheer ferocity and chaotic nature make them difficult to control. Even among the ranks of the Kainate, whispers circulate about the monstrous warlords who rule the Legion with iron fists, each warrior more beast than man. They are seen as a necessary evil, a devastating weapon to be unleashed only when absolute destruction is required, for once the Dark Legion is loosed upon a world, it is never the same again.

The Dark Legion traces its origins back to the reign of Imperial Krag, the Graug warlord who briefly ruled the Eighth Sith Empire before its collapse and the expulsion of the Sith from Korriban. Following the Empire's defeat, most of the Graug hordes followed their warlord back to Gratos, their ancestral homeworld. However, a powerful contingent of warriors chose to remain behind, rallying under another Dark Lord of the Sith, Kaine Zambrano, later known as Darth Carnifex.

Under Zambrano's command, the Graug legions played a crucial role in his ascension to power, aiding him in seizing the Epicanthix throne and establishing his dominion over the Pacanth Reach. As a reward for their loyalty, Zambrano gifted them the world of Fornow, a once-thriving planet that was soon razed and reshaped into a nightmarish reflection of Gratos. The Graug built massive war foundries, breeding pits, and sacrificial altars, churning out new generations of warriors, siege beasts, and monstrous hybrids to fuel their endless campaigns of conquest.

The fall of Imperial Krag on Atrisia left the Graug fractured, but Zambrano capitalized on their leaderless state, binding the remaining warlords to his service. From this merging of Graug warbands, the Dark Legion was born, a force greater than any that had come before, dedicated to total war and planetary ruin. They marched alongside Zambrano's armies, spearheading the Tenth Sith Empire's brutal campaigns across the galaxy. Their conquests brought Belkadan, Cazador, and the upper hemisphere of Mandalore, renamed New Gratos, under Graug control. Each of these worlds was transformed into a crucible of suffering and industry, stripped of resources, and converted into unholy war-factories to feed the ever-growing Dark Legion.

During the Sith-Imperial War, the Dark Legion was deployed as the unstoppable vanguard, leading planetary invasions with siege engines, war beasts, and monstrous warriors that shattered fortifications and slaughtered entire populations. Their campaigns left a trail of ruin across the galaxy, turning worlds into ash-ridden wastelands where the only survivors were chained in eternal servitude. Despite their unmatched ferocity, even the Dark Legion could not prevent the fall of the Sith Empire, as their masters were ultimately overcome by internal betrayal and galactic resistance.

However, the Dark Legion was never fully broken. As the Sith Empire crumbled, the Graug hordes retreated, regrouping in the darkness of space under the command of High Warlord Malgrog the God-Splitter. Under his iron rule, the Legion rearmed, bred new monstrosities, and refined their war doctrines, waiting for the day when they would once again be unleashed upon the galaxy. They remained a Black Fleet in space regrouping with other forces in what had become the Kainate. They were ready for any conquest.

With the reclamation of the Sith Holy Worlds by the Kainate, the Dark Legion was awarded dominion over the northern continent of Dromund Kaas, where they transformed its once-proud jungles into a wasteland of blackened stone, ash, sacrificial pits, and war foundries, naming it New Gratos after their homeworld. Under the leadership of High Warlord Malgrog the God-Splitter, the city of Grathok'ta was born.

Now, with new weapons, new horrors, and an unquenchable thirst for destruction, the Dark Legion marches once more, a storm of fire, death, and ruin, ready to bring the galaxy to its knees once again.
