The Darkmeld

Based loosely on the canon group, The Darkmeld came into existence because even on the side of the light, things aren’t always what they seem. The shadowy organization is a covert internal affairs group created by Jedi Marshal Chevu Visz that brings together Jedi and NFU alike, to keep a close eye on the internal workings of the GA Triumvirate Grand Marshall Omai Rhen, Supreme Commander Nemo Ven, and Chief of State Caita Xan and their immediate reports, such as the GA Commanders and Jedi Marshals. Under the influence of Coren Starchaser and others under his command, the Darkmeld watches every move the upper hierarchy makes.

Not only does the Darkmeld internally spy on the New Jedi Order, but aims to detain or exile anyone within the ranks of the Galactic Alliance that is deemed threatening to the organization. They silently observe, and wherever necessary perform surveillance. They use Force techniques that cloud minds in order to keep their organization a secret, employ slicers to scrub their data, and carefully hide their own intentions using mental defense.

So far Grand Marshal Omai Rhen has not caught wind of the Darkmeld and its members work tirelessly to keep it that way.

How do I get involved in the Darkmeld?
IC this is a covert group that will go to great lengths to shroud itself in secrecy. So IC your characters shouldn’t really know about it. If you are interested in pursuing this storyline and being a member of the Darkmeld, we can figure out a way to get you introduced and initiated. Fair warning: eventually the Darkmeld may be found out and there is a good chance, depending on how things go, that your character could be arrested for high treason or face other IC consequences. So if you’d like to join, just something to keep in mind.

What if I’d like to expose the Darkmeld?
Being the one who exposes us is certainly an option! It’s hard to fathom that a group could operate in such secrecy around all of these Jedi Masters for too long. However, I’d like to ask that before the Darkmeld gets exposed that we’re given a chance to write some stories. If you're interested in exposing the Darkmeld, there will be opportunity to do this.
