To infiltrate deep behind enemy lines, and conduct Recon and sniper operations, providing ground force commanders with intelligence, and maps, they also disrupt enemy command and control, and advance, by pining down, large units with sniper fire and maneuver warfare, in addition to taking out the enemy commander and other high-value targets. They generally get along with other Imperial units but are a bit cocky given the nature of their work, other units react with mix feeling about them some loving the devastating impact they have on the battlefield others seeng them as crowds and assassins who hide and strike from shadows

The unit was created 3 years ago as the powers that be in Special Operations command at the time decided that need a unit capable of providing, ground and naval forces, reliable accurate intel on enemies' position, movement, and capability, as well as disrupt the enemy's command and control ability, and of need slow the enemy advance to allow the main ground to set up for a ambush or counter attack. This unit would also be an element of psychological ware to the mix of battlefield options. This unit would allow commanders the flexibility to act on actionable intel as it came in and be stifled by Imperial intelligence or ISB varication protocols. While overall command would go a major to determining latter, field command of the unit would fall to Sargent Corath Renfro who had proven an adept scout and sniper in SOC alredy
