Stations were never the ideal place to build a home, let alone a restaurant, but it provided a sense of uniqueness that rarely seen by the galaxy at large. Rhan himself enjoyed the location, perfectly surrounded by galaxy's beauty of gas clouds and stars. For such viewing pleasure the entirety of the midsection of the station were constructed as windows. Of course Rhan had several redundancies in place to keep his visitors safe, but it always had fascinated Rhan to be so close to the void of space and a true sense finality about it all.
Droids around him continued their jobs of cleaning and setting up tables, some patrons and other visitors already finishing their meals while a few waited to be seated by the droids. Rhan moved away from his spot and walked back to the kitchen. Coordination and precision were two important aspects that Rhan embodied in his new chefs, all four diligent and focused, spices and oils expertly measured and handled. The meats cooked to each order's specification and bread backed perfectly. Nothing doughy, burnt, overcooked or under-cooked, all under Rhan's strict rules and guaranteed quality. Sever Droids moved in and quickly picked up the readied orders, the chefs themselves moving almost mechanical like the droid themselves.
Rhan's hands began to itch to join, but he needed to attend other matters, as the place itself was not busy but new customers often would bring a variety of situations that would need a more personal attention. He walked outside the kitchen and towards the main lobby floor, the Station itself only had five levels, the bottom two for docking and hangers, and the next level held the welcoming area and bar and above that was his location of the restaurant and lobby area and the last level above him held the storage and living area for employees. Most of the time the non droid staff would leave for their home but some do stay from time to time.
A pair of bothans were posing questions and Rhan quickly stepped in, "Excuse me, but you have nothing to fear from any mishandling of food or errors in our recipes, I personally studied at several restaurants over the years to learn all unique recipes and cooking styles," Rhan explained, to which both Bothans seemed pleased enough with his assurances. A quick nod and pair followed the droid to their table.
"You know Mr. Rhan until our reputation grows, it might be wise to facilitate to only a small selection of cultures," the Maître d'hotel suggested, as the older man continued to watch the patrons enjoying their time. The new advertisement on the Holo-Net certainly were bringing more and more diverse set of beings.
"Perhaps Mr. Synaps, but it would do no good to just not show the galaxy everything we offer, and besides seeing people enjoy food they had first only thought could come from their home planet is always delightful, it validates our cooking," Rhan responded. From the culture of Nar Shadda and Tatooine, or from the peaceful planet of Naboo or the warrior culture of Mandalore, Rhan made sure that everyone would enjoy their time in his restaurant.
Cooking was an art and Rhan prided in his mastery of the art form.
